I don't think the father of the gay son was asking to challenge Frank, I think he was asking so he can learn what to say to his son. In many of his statements to Frank, you can hear the sorrow and pain in the father's voice, because he wants to help and loves his son.
I agree...I kind of felt as though his question was misconstrued and it seemed that Frank was bit too quick to become a little defensive. (Having said that, I recently discovered Frank Turek and enjoy his videos.)
@@dallassegnoI’m a guy and struggle with the same sin, I was never sexually raped or violated so stop this idea that this particular sin requires some sort of childhood rape to trigger it when the Bible says “we were conceived in sin” and the heart devises all these ways to come up with sin, who do you think the first evidence of a gay human being was raped by? As a 27 year old who struggles with this thing I can tell you I had both loving parents in my life. I was conceived this way unfortunately because of Adam. As far as I can remember my first attraction as young as 8 was a fellow classmate of mine, which I innocently acted on and had no clue or idea where it came from. So next time please speak with some facts before 🙏🏽
We must share Truth - in 2008, I was a gay-identified man, in a committed, monogamous same-sex relationship, active in an affirming church, then found myself in an ICU where the medical team classified me clinically dead after a 22-minute flatline. I experienced death, judgement and hell. When I couldn’t take any more demonic torment, I cried out in repentance, “Jesus!” and I heard the Savior say, “I am here.” At that moment, I saw with my eyes the Wind of the Holy Spirit fill my ICU and with great power, He pick up Satan and the demonic and blew them out of the room. On that day, my life changed, the redemptive Blood of Jesus cleared my mind of perversion, and completely healed and restored every failing organ. Glory to God!
So the medical professionals did nothing for you..? You give all the credit to God and none to the people that actually did things for you… Funny thing is you’ll never have enough faith to test that theory. You’ll always end up going to the hospital.. trusting in humans.. and not your deity.. but never give any credit to the people that sacrificed their life to save yours..
We're all in leaky boats. That other guy's boat might have a few more holes than yours, but both are bound for the bottom. Only way out is to climb aboard God's (actually) unsinkable ship when He tosses you a lifeline.
@@geoffreyallen9314 : "God made me this way" is the most common rebuttal that I hear when discussing the sin of homosexuality with others, after which I have to explain that we live in a sinful world, not Heaven, and we are accountable for our actions, not our temptations.
I'm always amazed at how straight people tackle this issue. I am a former lesbian who was steeped in the lifestyle until Jesus set me free. The question the son asked was simply to justify his sin. Two rights do not make a wrong. This father needs some answers. His son is stuck in a false identity. Something that rarely changes absent Christ. Homosexuality is a sin - even more, it is a severe stronghold. It can take time to unravel. But the first step is son becoming a child of God. Without Jesus, there is no hope of redemption - for anyone. I minister to parents and friends of gays, gays themselves, and I am now battling the church, which, sadly, has bought the many lies surrounding the gay lifestyle. We have alot of work to do. UPDATE: Several people here have commented on their sexual struggles longing for an answer from God and a way out. YET, when they are given that counsel and opportunity, they grow silent and leave. The truth is, they don't really want out of their sin. They just want someone to condone their behavior. This is called CHOICE. Choose God or choose sin. Can't have both.
@dansaber4427 that is your opinion, but unfortunately, not what the Bible teaches. I get it, though. I felt the same at one time. God is patient and gracious through our changes. But He will never condone willfully living a life contrary to His will.
@@StandUp777 actually upon closer inspection those verses describe the fellowship you find yourself in. Who you are authentically is actively being dominated by the ideal you. That's the bad kind of ss relationship the Bible is talking about. Is Jesus your husband? Because you're cheating on him.
On the subject of good moral people... Jesus said, "why do you call me "good?" No one is good except the Father." At first i was confused by this passage. Was He saying Hes not good? If He's not, then who is? Then i realized he was really asking, "what are you basing good on? To what standard? How do you even know what good is?" Because no one had ever seen or met anyone who was truly good. There had never been a man without sin until that time. Amd Jesus is good because "no one is good except the Father." And everything He did was through the Father (John 5:19)
Don't you think that claim is scary? Only god is good? Didn't god order and condone sl4very, mis0gyny, stoning g4ys, gen0c1de and gr4ping virgin girls? How can that be good? Or do you just accept that can do whatever he wants?
Also He's saying He is the same as the Father. No one is good except for the Father and yet the man is calling Jesus good. He isn't saying He's wrong He is saying He's God.
Research shows that pornography use is actually more prevalent in LGBTQ adolescents than in their heterosexual counterparts. Thus, to invoke pornography use by some Christians to mitigate homosexuality is not only inappropriate but also disingenuous.
Why do you think LGBTQ adolescents use porn more than their heterosexual counterparts? Does any of the research you cite give any reasons? Why do you think they use pornogrpahy more? Do you thinks it's because they're more immoral?
Sometimes it is to justify why they would want to do that without being judged. So for example you see a self acclaimed pastor commit adultery, you are also a porn addict. Even though you know it's wrong but you can't help it you'll then try to raise the former to justify why you are a porn addict after all
Doesn't matter what the stats say. Whether you're Straight, Gay, Lesbian, Trans. Pornography is bad and unfortunately I myself struggle with Porn/Lust.
Love and acceptance are two totally different things you still have love for your child if you don't accept their lifestyle. Jesus loved Sinners but he did not wear a pride flag
No matter how my child turns out, if they live a life that is oppositional of my personal moral beliefs, I don't have to respect that. But everyone does not have the same moral beliefs, and our beliefs do not make us moral. Not before or after Christ. Christ was the only one moral. Nobody on this planet looks at morality the same, because we have none and we have never been, and have never known it. We only have self-righteousness (pride) and my pride has sinned against God every time. What is right to us, is not right to God, no matter how just we may think we are being. And even if we do good, the sin the condemned us would be there every step of the way, without Christ. You think the way you think because of sin, you do not know or understand total morality, and you are no more moral than your child. You have probably taught your child more sin, than anything, and are completely unaware of it. If you cast the first stone, God will cast the last one. Salvation is a very serious thing.
When we are truly born again, we realize what wretched sinners we are, and in that realization we see how we have been cheating on God with sin. We see how ugly we've been to God and how we are not worthy of His forgiveness. But most importantly, we cry out like never before and ask for His guidance and strength to overcome sin. Once this has happened, there is a cleansing of the heart and a renewing of the spirit that transforms us. We become zealous for God and realize that we are here to represent the King. All glory to the most high!

The problem is that every single person on the face of the planet has indulged in sexual sin, has worshiped titles, has stolen something, been greedy, been drunk, abuse, someone, or cheated someone. Which means none of us is qualified to judge sinners
Paul is listing the people that have not come to believe on Jesus Christ. Before we believe on Christ, these are the titles we have. However, verse 11 goes on to teach that they are no longer these people because they have been cleansed by Jesus Christ. This DOES NOT mean that they have completely stopped doing ANY of these sins. Believers all around the world struggle with most of these. Paul is pointing out that because they are believers in Christ, God does not see them as these anymore. Now, God sees them as His children. Heirs to the Kingdom of God. Why? Because they have put their belief/faith on His Son Jesus Christ. When the Father looks upon believers, He sees His sons and daughters, NOT sinners. Paul is trying to encourage the brothers and sisters in Christ to put away these desires. Not to earn, maintain, or prove their salvation, but as James points out in James 2, that it will be profitable to the believer and mankind. We should strive to be like Christ, not because it's required, but because we want to. I try to do good and sin less to give thanks for Jesus Christ for what He did for me. I'm not perfect at this. I fail everyday. But, I know I am His, forever. Remember, Paul expressed his struggle with sin in the book of Romans. His outer man keeps sinning while his inner man hates the sinning. Paul states that he would like to do good but in him is the desire to do bad. He does the bad on which he wishes he could stop doing, and neglects to do the good he wishes he could do. Then thanks Jesus Christ for the promise of one day fully redeeming Paul from the wicked man he is. John teaches that if we say we are without sin then we make Him a liar.

I want to simply point out that we will fail at the perfection described in the Bible and to encourage believers to not doubt their salvation. Lots of believers begin to worry they have sinned too much last week, or the day before and have sinned away their salvation. This is an impossible scenario. Christ paid for 100% of your sins... past, present, and future sins. His goal was to remove Hell off the table and He accomplished that by paying that payment for us. He's not going to let us, very imperfect people, screw that up afterwards. He then goes on to teach us that with that security, strive to be like Him. Not to earn, maintain, or prove your salvation, but to be profitable to yourself and others. Shining bright for Christ by sinning less and increasing your good works will draw people closer to Him. The world will see Christ in you. That's the whole point. God bless you!

This was a great answer by Dr. Turek. "Homosexuality isn't the one thing that keeps you out of heaven. Just as heterosexuality doesn't get you into heaven." I liked how Dr. Turek was able to point out that pastors won't get up (or shouldn't) and proclaim that porn addiction is 'good', or should be celebrated. Watching porn is almost done in secret and without an audience. It's attempted to be a hidden thing. The LGBT movement wants the "hidden" to be proclaimed and celebrated. That's very different.
The bible makes no such distinction, you are saying being gay is worse than porn because you are a porn addict. So you downplay your own sins whilst elevating others, its a deflection tactic
1 Corinthians 6:9-11. There are several things , the ‘’practice “ of which will prevent inheriting God’s Kingdom. Homosexuality is among them. The operative word is ‘’Practice” , if a person is genuinely repentant and crushed by their sin and the desire to be free of it’s snare, then they may find God’s mercy in escaping that snare. But any sin , when the person is unrepentant , will prevent a person from inheriting God’s Kingdom.

I have this quote from Ephesians on my phone wallpaper. I remind myself of this every day and is probably my most used verse to answer questions of sin and my relationship with Jesus to those asking about it.
The point that’s being missed here is that they are not repenting of their sins. They’re proud of it and two sins does not make a right because someone else is sinning doesn’t mean it gives you the right to may God open your eyes and warm your heart to the truth
Exactly. If we as a society celebrate and accept homosexuality, then why don’t we accept and celebrate all the other sins? What makes homosexuality special and acceptable compared to the all the other sins? Even the church is accepting and celebrating this sin of homosexuality.
@@JC-cv3upwait, you really can’t tell the difference (special) between homosexuality and, for example, theft or even murder as sins? One involves attraction and loving acts between consenting adults and the others have a perpetrator harming an innocent victim. This really isn’t hard to figure out.

A side question from this video would be, we all struggle with sin and NOBODY is without sin we covered by Christ. What would make stumbling and warring in the flesh a lifestyle vs a season? @GhostRider-ce3ebwhy would the father loose his son by being honest and authentic? The hypocrisy would be if he believed his son lived in sin, but would pretend otherwise…!
I see this as a misunderstanding of the text. God is both just and graceful. So how do we have Justice applied to us? Because He must be just. The answer is through the atoning death of Christ. Without the atonement there is a Justice that will condemn you to the fires of hell and rightly so. But under the blood you are considered Justified to the glory of His grace!!!
The issue is that the idea of repentance is lost on many people. Even those who claim to believe in CHRIST. Romans 6:23 (NASB) says "For the wages of sin is death, but the gracious gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." If we are willing and unashamedly "investing" in the sin that's killing us, how can we then turn around and say we want eternal life in CHRIST?
If someone truly wants to be saved, they aren't going to try to negotiate which of their sins they can and can't continue in after ostensibly repenting

@@kinggenius930 Like I said, it's a free choice. No baby was ever born sexually attracted to their own gender, that's just an absolutely ludicrous conclusion to rest at, and a lazy justification for that type of preference, which God insists is a sin. Psychology data insists that homosexuality typically stems from a deep-rooted form of trauma or abuse, or being raised in such a household or community that simply endorse and affirm such behavior. That's a big mistake so many homosexually-oriented people make, is thinking they were born gay and hence identify as gay, and since God hates homosexuality, that must mean God hates them as people. Which is absolutely false. God hates sin, via the act of homosexual fornication, He does not hate people, He never did, and never will. God loves every person. And yet every person in the world is guilty of sinning. Everyone. Only God's gift of Grace (trusting that Jesus is exactly who He claimed to be) alleviates us from his wrath. The devil wants people to believe we have no choice, and being gay is part of our identity. Which is a flat-out lie, that unfortunately drags so many people farther away from God's desire for them to live their best life. The 10 commandments are not rules that we need to follow in order to appease an almighty overlord. He doesn't need our thanksgiving or worship of Him, or for us to do anything really. Rather the ten commandments strictly serve as a guidebook to all people that will only benefit us in living truly joyful lives. Since every material and worldly thing will never truly comfort us, or sate us, in our fleeting, dying, mortal coils. No matter how many times we have sex, whether hetero, or same-sex, will ease our souls or save us on our deathbed. I actually feel for his son. As someone who has this exact thing and fell in love with my bestfriend It was something i knew I could never have. What the son is actually asking was missed, he’s asking basically is he not worthy to have love”? In the way that when someone genuinely falls in love with someone, they can marry them. He’s not asking for his sin to be justified, before Christ we are, he’s asking if a pastor who struggles with porn is still a pastor, can he not still be a Christian even though he’s in love with someone of the same gender? I had this exact problem and I’ve cried multiple times out of heartbreak over it, it’s like telling a husband the wife you would want to marry, you cannot have, and the strong feelings of love you have for her are not justified. Just a food for thought before ppl judge this kid. I’ve tried to love women but it’s not any harder than a heterosexual woman trying to fall in love with another woman or a white woman trying to be born with black skin and blonde hair. Anyone who hasn’t lived with this problem for 27 years of their life, I would say I envy you, it’s not something I would wish on my worst enemy, to always have it looked like I have it figured out, to promise pastors and friends I will marry a beautiful Christian woman when my heart is in love with someone else, to have the whole image of a full Christian put together, but I’ve never been good at faking it, I can’t have what my heart craves and it tears me to shreds, I have friends who complain to me about their girl issues that they can’t decide which girl to pick to marry while I kindly just laugh it off and empathise with them whilst I have completely no idea what it feels like to be even remotely attracted to a girl yet alone in love since they don’t know. It eats me from the inside out and I get teary eyed when leaving my friends to go back to a home all alone. But I have to press on, I have to be the good Christian everyone expects me to be, these feelings have to be kept hidden, otherwise if I play the white picket fence false Christian life I’ll be tricking my potential wife and someone’s daughter into loving someone they think is in love with them when really I would be pretending to be and using them to cover up the fact that I don’t want my church to know I have these feelings I was born with. And no, it doesn’t suddenly dissapear because I was born again, I’ve heard that statement one too many times now. I want the real Christianity, the honest truth, the rawness, and the raw truth is that, I am someone who has fallen in love with my friend and I need either grace or judgement. If there is no law against the love that I have but against the sex that I have then I’ll take the love over sex any day. But if I also can’t love freely then I’m damned to not be worthy enough like most of these guys who have a loving relationship that isn’t founded on sex but love alone…. It’s a conundrum at times but hey, Christianity isn’t without suffering right
Most of human love is disordered, doing what is either unlawful or profane. And so I say those who’s love is disordered the truth is our desire for closeness with another human, man or woman, is actually a desire for closeness with God. It’s human, possibly even diabolic, to believe that closeness with God is not what you truly desire. Is it that your love cannot be returned? Then be with The Heart that has so loved man and received nothing in return. Has He not loved you? Through beatings, profanities and death he has loved you!
Hey man, I feel you. I was once in your shoes also, so I can empathize with the struggle. I was raised in a Christian home so I couldn't tell anyone of my inclinations, plus we are Nigerian and I've seen what they do such people here. I tried everything to stop but failed miserably. I tried using will power, threats, self-torture and a whole lot of other things. I had a whole host of issues aside this so it wasn't fun at all. The truth is, the more I tried, the more I failed. But, I remember hearing a sermon where the pastor pretty much talked about porn (which I also struggled with), and other addictions and how to break free from them. I thought he was crazy when he said to stop trying and rely solely on God's grace. He said that the more you rely on your self effort and will power, the more you'll fail. Instead trust on God's grace to make you whole inside out. We can put on a facade on our outside, but it won't change who we are - or rather who we perceive ourselves to be. Best to trust our Lord Jesus, who loved us to death to change us from the inside out. I put this to the test and strangely enough it worked. All I did was confess that "I am the righteousness of God in Christ" whenever I had those desires, and even while watching porn and to my surprise, over time those desires faded away. It felt impossible, like magic, but it happened. Rather than pretending not to be attracted to the same sex, I genuinely have no interest anymore. I dream about having a wife, kids, and building a loving family. Even when the thoughts come again, I proclaim who I am in Christ. I am not a closet homosexual. I am who God made me to be. The world tells us to accept these lying thoughts and declare them as our identity. Grace tells us to proclaim our identity in Christ. I can't imagine what its like to live your life, but trust me when I say that Christ's finished work is all you need. Self effort can only take you so far. Grace will take you all the way.
@@lordkinjarel thank you very much for that. Single handed probably the reply I’ve been looking for. I myself am your neighbour in the sense that I’m British Ghanaian. I believe it’s easy for someone who doesn’t have the issue to say just give up your inordinate affection, but it’s not as easy as that. Also have you ever been in love with another male before? What do I do if I’m in love, like a husband is in love with his wife? What do I do? I won’t have sex no, but my love is it valid? Does it count for anything even though the feelings are genuine? Why do only straight people get to have the happy ending with the love of their life? Would it also be fair to tell them if they care so much why don’t they give up their love of their life too if they wish to show me it’s that easy. Truth hurts and it’s never that easy, I’m thankful that someone who knows this exact pain is here tbh
Ty for sharing. I too saw the overlooked point of the young man asking his dad those questions. As to your struggle, I share it from a heterosexual perspective. Meaning I used to live a very promiscuous life and now that I’m married I still struggle regularly with aldulterous desires. I’ve wondered why those desires aren’t “cured “ in Christ. The truth is that I’m this life we will suffer through temptations among other things. As a Christian we must rely on Gods grace to give us the power to resist those temptations. This is the refining fire that God used to cleanse and strengthen us. So fight on! Where people get the gospel wrong is that they think they need to do the good things that pleases God. That’s performance Christianity and misunderstands the gospel. When you truly apprehend the gospel it will be the thing that produces good works in you. Share your sin with your brothers and sisters even if they don’t handle it right. The Bible tells us to do this. It will help set you free.
This is where most people confuse what the SIN actually is. The sin isn’t loving somebody of the same sex, it’s having sex outside of the biblical definition of marriage. So can you live with your best friend of the same sex and still be in God’s grace? Why not, where is the sin? Abstinence is a thing.
What this channel needs to do is a complete emersion into an internet study series about how Luther/Calvinism has change Christianity from the original texts to a New Religion! Being totally honest and throwing out all denominational doctrines that have been grown out of the "false doctrine" of the reformation these past 500 years!
Both are sin, but from what we gather in scripture, it comes down to the attitude and the heart (1 Samuel 16:7). This man's son is an unrepentant sinner. He has an attitude of, "my sin isn't any worse than that of that pastor." In which case, he is correct in that logic, as we have all fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23)... Except, he mistakes something very crucial: If the pastor is a true man of God, then he will recognize that he is in sin, confess it to the Lord, and try to do better next time. Whereas the son in this example has no such acknowledgement, but justifies his sin because other people sin; and therefore thinks his sin is of no consequence.
I'm a Christian so this is an honest inquiry. Just wondering do you choose who you're attracted to? For example, do you choose to be attracted and desire the opposite sex and the same sex equally? Because being a heterosexual in Christianity is usually accepted as that is how I was made. I was made to desire and love the opposite sex. Now you can choose to watch corn and choose to commit adultery but do you have the choice who you desire both male and female equally? If you don't have a choice then when you hear someone say "I'm homosexual" which is a noun just as if I say "Im heterosexual" do you believe they have a choice as to who they desire? I am just trying to gauge how Christians think about this topic.
@@mbfrommb3699 No you can't control who you are attracted to but you can can control what you do about it. The Bible is very clear that homosexual acts is a sin. Having homosexual attraction is not at all a sin no matter what Christians may tell you. There are Christians who have the urge to get drunk. There are Christians who have the urge to have premarital sex. All that matters is we don't act.
@@karaokehammick5215 I agree with everything you said except for, "Having homosexual attraction is not at all a sin no matter what Christians may tell you." Lust (attraction) is a sin, regardless if it's heterosexual or homosexual. We are fallen, and our default mode is wicked (Jeremiah 17:9). The only time lust isn't a sin is when a husband and their wife lusts after their own spouse. Every other physical attraction is sin, regardless if you have control over it or not. Hence, why we need a savior. But, as you said, what we do with those desires, and also how we rationalize those thoughts, that truly matters.
@@AFFL1CTED1 Being sexually attracted to someone is never a choice and sin is always a choice. Lust is wanting to have sex with someone which is a choice. Lust literally means want. Sexual attraction is unavoidable. Temptation is not sin. Even Jesus was tempted as we were. Do you believe he never once had to deal with temptations with other women?
@@karaokehammick5215 Thank you for showing the stupidity of modern Christianity in your comment. My only question to you is "Have you made a lifelong commitment to be celibate?" Your view shows the blatant double standard Christians fail to address. By removing the covering of marriage given to heterosexuals the only option they leave homosexuals is lifelong celibacy and we have ample history of the damage forced celibacy can do in the Catholic church. See the lie is that Christians change the conversation from the noun "No you can't control who you are attracted to" to the verb " but you can can control what you do about it." Then they change the context to corn or adultery. This is the big lie. marriage is GOD's covering so that in marriage we have the ability to deal with our urges desires, etc with our spouse. Being a married man and choosing corn over my wife, or adultery over my wife is a sin because I have a wife. Paul in 1 Cor 7 says if you have uncontrollable urges get married. So what does this man's son say he's 20 years old do, where he can't control who he is attracted to and who he desires for the rest of his life? Where does he get intimacy, companionship, and sex from? I have to wonder if this is what 1 Timothy 4:1-5 is talking about "Now the (Holy) Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, 2 through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared, 3 who forbid marriage and require abstinence from foods that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. 4 For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, 5 for it is made holy by the word of God and prayer. The only group I can think of in these latter times that forbids marriage are conservative Christians. I could be wrong but that's how I read it. Thank you for your comment.

That's something I've been struggling and trying to point out. Some of the good things people strive for don't have to be aimed at. Some of the good things we have are simply the fruits and results of our labor. One of the simplest examples I can think of is a tournament. The prize and/or trophy is simply a fruit. It is unnecessary to aim at those things. And that brings it back to aiming at the right thing. That's all that's needed. No need to aim at the excess.
@@Idontknowwhatswaitingforme I should have clarified my statement. I'm not judging, stating that salvation is in Jesus. We love those around us, minister to them, and pray for them. I do not think the Church has elevated homosexuality - I think that is the red herring, or perhaps a straw man. Proportion, not hypocrisy, is the cause of the disparity. The overlooked cause is that our society is at fault for thrusting the topic upon us with increasing regularity. Therefore it only appears like we are fixated on this one issue..
Sin is risking harm for fleeting moments of pleasure like you don't have forever to enjoy yourself now before you go without and suffer anguish for loosing all the things you love. Ask the doctors. They'll tell you that anal sex can cause sever infections for both gay and straight couples no matter how healthy they are. If you get excrement in your urethra, you can get a urinary tract infection or even a bladder infection that might kill you if untreated. This has nothing to do with patriarchy or tradition. It has to do with sanitation. And it is true for both gay and straight couples. Swimming in a lake is fine. But if it were contaminated with bacteria, would the state allow you to swim in that lake, even if you knew the risks and wanted to swim there anyway? I don't think so. They would haul you away to have your head examined. Anal sex is obviously unsanitary. And putting your mouth on someone else's defecating parts is also obviously unsanitary for any couples, gay or straight.

"Unless you are born again you will not see the kingdom of God" the new birth gives a new heart of flesh that is sensitive to and wars against sin, by The Holy Spirit.
Most pastors wouldn't be willing "trying" to look at that stuff on a regular basis, and somehow trying to JUSTIFY it. They wouldn't be having a parade or an entire month boasting about it either. Most would know that's it's wrong, and wanting to quit. Let's use an example of adultery. Christians who have fallen into that sin aren't holding an "Adulterers Pride" parade and boasting/relishing in it. Completely different attitudes towards said sins.
you hit the nail on the head we all struggle with something but its our attitude toward that sin that is most important , not to justifly it ingnore it or say its ok its just a little sin , we will struggle with the world the flesh and the devil until we are in heaven we must always be humble and honest with God
Good point. There are believers who struggle desperately with sin including sexual sin and it is a thorn but although they struggle it's never seen as an opportunity to redefine their sin as a virtue or justified. Once you do that then the need for repentance disappears and the slippery slope follows.

GOD still calls homosexuality a sin and an abomination 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Many people buy into the lie that they are born that way, the lie that the Lord's saving love is unconditional, and the lie that once we have truly received a new nature with Christ that our disposition towards our sins and the sins of others won't radically change. No pick up your cross every day and follow me to Calvary so they can die, and you can be resurrected with Me but without them. More like, skip the cross and go straight to the resurrection because we want the joy without the journey through the pain of the cross. We also buy the lie that all judgement is bad and we shouldn't do it or accept it, and for many that includes rejecting the judgements against their sins from the Lord's word or from others in the church (even though such judgement is required from us in places like 1 Corinthians 5 and Matthew 18). So, we prefer the sweet sounding lies instead of the real truth and in doing so we follow a gentle (by the world's definition, not God's which is strength under control) and generic Jesus of our own making. I work with a man as defined by his birth who married another man. He told me the other day that if his husband stepped out of the marriage he would kill him that is my point man’s love has boundaries and so must God’s many times they don’t match
For people who have AIS (Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome) they outwardly physically look like women but have XY chromosomes. Should they marry a man because they appear like a woman? Or should they marry a woman because they have XY chromosomes? How do we make sure they don't sin? Be single? But scripture says it is not good be alone. I guess if you're in this situation, you're doomed.
The notion of having to please an entity that is allegedly completely beyond us and has no needs or worries as we do... is both utterly absurd and thoroughly repulsive to me.
Is this a sincere question or not? Because if it is, it's first good to acknowledge what the Bible clearly teaches. 1 Corinthians 7:1 Now for the matters you wrote about: It is good for a man not to marry. The new covenant clearly taught, that being single is the best situation and remaining single (if we can) is something to strive for because you can serve God with all of you time. How do you think about that teaching?
You can read Jimmy Akin's article "Intersexed Marriages" for an attempted Christian response, but there really is no way to acknowledge the reality of the sex 'binary' being fuzzy and still strictly enforce heterosexuality. Even outside of intersexism I think the idea of a man loving someone like Blaire White being homosexual is ridiculous anyways
The question was "is there a difference in God's eyes between a homosexual and a person who watches porn? Which person is better?" and before you answer this question you need to answer another one first "by what standart do you decide what's right and wrong". If you don't base your moral standarts on God's word, then there's nothing wrong with being gay, porn addict etc. because then you're morals are based on people's opinion, which means that moral is relative. But if God's real and he is the one who defines what's good and right, then both a homosexual and a the person who watches porn are sinners. In fact, all of us are sinners, we sin every single way in a different ways. That's why we need Jesus Christ.

If the father's son understood justice, he would more than likely understand his need for grace. If he accepted that grace, he could understand what "good moral behavior" is, because the heart change would have already begun, and for the first time ever there would actually be power to change. Plus, like for the heterosexual, he would recognize that no matter how much he changes for the better, he would still need grace.
I disagree that our purpose in life is to know God and make Him known.. those are wonderful by products. The purpose is to love the Lord with all our heart mind soul and strength and to love our neighbor as ourselves. If we do that we will know God and make him known. But it starts with the greatest commandment. And love for God means we don't tolerate or accept sin first in our own lives and because we love others and know that sin produces death in them, we don't tolerate or accept it in theirs either.

No, it is not possible. If it was, there would be no need for God's grace. We are all born sinners. The best we can do is try to be better everyday, and ask God for His forgiveness and guidance when we inevitably fall short. To me this is pretty subjective. I am not of the persuasion that homosexuality is an automatic death sentence as far as morals . I think it’s the lifestyle that is likely when dealing in homosexuality many times it’s a hedonistic, often times more mental instability. Let’s also not forget the fact that there is no natural reproduction within a homosexual relationship so there is no natural flourishing or growth. Even with all that said I do believe there are a few homosexual relationships which are well adjusted and not idol seeking which is not harmful.. I just feel like those relationships are the oddity not the norm. As an antidote all the homosexuals I know were either sexually abused as children or are suffering from some other serious idol worship spiritual warfare, so usually the sexual preference is a byproduct of something else.

Sadly no, you cannot love your sin and love God as well. I suggest you really read the Bible for yourself and ask God to open your eyes to his truth. There are so many people that like to twist the scripture so that it makes their sin not so bad or turns their sin into a virtue. When you plainly read it with an open and honest heart you will clearly see that same-sex relationships in any way shape or form is not what God designed for men and women. Praying that your eyes will be open to God's truth he loves you enough to tell you the things you don't want to hear but the things you need to hear.

Looking at these comments, the modern Christian thinks it is their job to correct sinners. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Read the Bible. Pay special attention to the words in red.
100%. Man, it’s been this way for so so long. I’ve always thought a ton of “christians” are really moralists. It’s about having a moral code vs following Christ.
If a sinner believes they are not committing sins, it is the responsibility of one who believes to inform them. Jesus didn't tell the adulterer that what she was doing was totally cool, he told her to go forth and sin no more. When was the last time you paid any attention to those "words in red?"
Its a very easy solution but very difficult to achieve . Like any other sin , You may have your feelings but you need to pray to the Lord that you don't act on them.

Cindy McGill's book, "Words That Work..." covers this is such loving detail, and has helped the Godless, The God Lost and the God Hardened...it's how we talk about these things. The term "Christian" isn't even in the Bible, "Follower of Jesus," however is. The language is part of how these conversations are approached. Understanding also the prophetic, words of knowledge as part of this, is important...love, is the way to address any issue, ANY. True Jesus was consistent with His language.
Asking people by what absolute standard do they use to decide good and bad is a key question. I have not been able to get one person to answer that. when we turn our back on what our Creator says is good for us then there is no standard, it is just whatever we each decide is right or wrong which changes from day to day and leads to chaos
There is no absolute standard. All we have access to is subjective standards. Even christians use subjective standards, they just mistakenly call it objective, or absolute. Even if a god existed, and gave us a standard, that would still be a subjective standard.
It sounded to me like the son was acknowledging that same sex marriage is wrong, but saying that if pastors are allowed weakness in the area of pornography, then he should be allowed weakness in the area of homosexuality. Not saying he's right, just what I think I heard.
Then the son is misrepresenting the argument. God never said priests can watch porn. They have to repent, which means to be truly sorry and commit to overcoming their weakness. I don't think the son is applying that standard to himself.
The call to repentance cannot be left out this discussion. The grace of Christ is given to free us from practicing sin as well. What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it? Romans 6:1-2
You are either getting grace or justice. I just had this discussion last Sunday. People have various contentions with the bible, not understanding humanity from God's point of view. None of us can argue their case from a position of strength. They are not somehow innocent. They/we have already been judged we are just waiting for God to carry out the sentencing. We can throw ourselves on the mercy of the court or stand on our own merit.
Let's talk about how God is not counting our sins against us. That is a subject we are afraid to address. The problem isn't sodomy, lesbianism, pornography, or sexual immorality. The problem is why are people engaging in these sins? This gets to the heart of the matter. People are engaging in sin because they are looking for love, acceptance, meaning, and purpose from the people, places, and things of the world instead of from God because they are spiritually dead. God created us for the need to be loved, accepted, and to have meaning and purpose in our lives. God put that need there because only He can meet it through faith in Jesus Christ. Once God meets that need, we stop looking for it. This leads to the diminishing of sins as we grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord. But, we can't get to the deeper issues of the heart because we stop at the physical issues of our flesh.
Actually The problem isn't homophobia and bigotry. The problem is why are people engaging in these sins? This gets to the heart of the matter. People are engaging in hate sin because they are looking for love, acceptance, meaning, and purpose from the homophobic people, places, and things of the world instead of from God because they are spiritually dead.
We all fall short. Whoever doesn’t fall here, falls there. We need Jesus and in order to be better a bit at the time, we need to engage more with the Lord, and that is the hard part.

I don't think the father of the gay son was asking to challenge Frank, I think he was asking so he can learn what to say to his son. In many of his statements to Frank, you can hear the sorrow and pain in the father's voice, because he wants to help and loves his son.

Don't lie to The Man.

On the subject of good moral people...
Jesus said, "why do you call me "good?" No one is good except the Father."
At first i was confused by this passage.

@@alp5088I'm just making a guess but it might be that their sexuality is corrupted and they have lost control over their temptations.

Lots of believers begin to worry they have sinned too much last week, or the day before and have sinned away their salvation. This is an impossible scenario. Christ paid for 100% of your sins... past, present, and future sins. His goal was to remove Hell off the table and He accomplished that by paying that payment for us. I liked how Dr.
Bottom line is homosexuals never repent of their sin
The bible makes no such distinction, you are saying being gay is worse than porn because you are a porn addict. So you downplay your own sins whilst elevating others, its a deflection tactic

leviticus 20:13
1 Corinthians 6:9-11. There are several things , the ‘’practice “ of which will prevent inheriting God’s Kingdom. Homosexuality is among them. The operative word is ‘’Practice” , if a person is genuinely repentant and crushed by their sin and the desire to be free of it’s snare, then they may find God’s mercy in escaping that snare. That's a big mistake so many homosexually-oriented people make, is thinking they were born gay and hence identify as gay, and since God hates homosexuality, that must mean God hates them as people.
My only question to you is "Have you made a lifelong commitment to be celibate?"
Your view shows the blatant double standard Christians fail to address.
By removing the covering of marriage given to heterosexuals the only option they leave homosexuals is lifelong celibacy and we have ample history of the damage forced celibacy can do in the Catholic church.
See the lie is that Christians change the conversation from the noun "No you can't control who you are attracted to"
to the verb
" but you can can control what you do about it."
Then they change the context to corn or adultery.
I have to wonder if this is what 1 Timothy 4:1-5 is talking about
"Now the (Holy) Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, 2 through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared, 3 who forbid marriage and require abstinence from foods that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. 4 For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, 5 for it is made holy by the word of God and prayer.
The only group I can think of in these latter times that forbids marriage are conservative Christians.
I could be wrong but that's how I read it.

Good point.
Try not to make points while you're high as a kite, a homeless person makes more sense than what I just read.
Lots of great questions. The first should really be “why on earth do you think there is some god that dictates a moral standard?”
This is classic Frank. Avoid the question, raise a completely separate question, then sneak in there that being gay is evil. 🤣
Did you even listen? Your flippant response tells me you didn’t. You may have heard, but you didn’t listen.

Every disciple committed sins and knew wickedness in their hearts, and Jesus forgave them knowing full well they would fail again, and each time He forgave them.

What demonstrable harm is caused by homosexuality? Never had a Christian explain that satisfactorily
@@Qetesh777 "so usually the sexual preference is a byproduct of something else"
How have you determined their being gay is the byproduct of these things?
It's not necessary to explain, because God doesn't use that as a metric for His laws. There's no "demonstrable harm" in worshipping false idols, using the Lord's name in vain, or adultery either.
@@patrickjawisdom4141 Of course there is demonstrable harm caused by adultery.

It’s like going to the doctor and find out you have a severe infection that will kill you. But you tell the doctor, I don’t want the cure because there’s doctors out there that have cancer. It makes no sense in that logic.
The difference for some.. specifically in the LG TV community Ala ruslan .. is that those in the same sex relationships don't think they are doing anything wrong. Before..during and after I go near pron .. I know. And am ashamed.. and even turn from God momentarily because of the shame.. then I try harder to not do it again .. if it is not recognized and repented against. Then you're just missing the point.. love that you always go at the hard questions and always have such heartfelt answers 🙏❤️

@patrickjawisdom4141 Agreed. Like I said, I'm not saying that he's right, just that it sounds like that's what he's saying.
God is good and loves each and everyone of us. Seek Christ and he will provide.
The call to repentance cannot be left out this discussion. The grace of Christ is given to free us from practicing sin as well. What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it? Romans 6:1-2
It's almost like the world thinks: "If we can get enough people to approve of this sin then God will have mercy and let us all in."

We need Jesus and in order to be better a bit at the time, we need to engage more with the Lord, and that is the hard part.
homophobics fall short by choosing a satanic lifestyle
