Thanks again. I have the 2005 Town and Country. Your instructions are so helpful. I did mine alone. No need to actually start the vehicle. Apply the parking brake and turn the key to the ON position without starting it.
Awesome video, thank you! Thanks very much for the excellent way you explained everything and showed every step in the video. On 1/24/2021, I installed my backup camera in my 2002 Dodge Caravan SE and I did everything you did in the video and it worked perfectly! The tail light wires were the same color, step bit and 7/8" grommet for the hole behind the license plate for the camera video and power + ground wires worked perfectly.
Only 2 screws and 2 bolts to remove that license plate light holder, there is a rubber grommet already there with plenty of room for the rca and power. Still decent job. Reverse cameras are nice and extra nice in a mini van. I just installed one in my 04 TC
Great video! I just bought a used 2011 Chevy Tahoe and a Amtifo Backup camera that I'm going to attempt to install once it gets a little warmer outside. Thanks for all the explanations and camera work!
Thumbs up and thanks for taking the time. I'm tackling a new double DIN installation with backup cam, forward cam, etc. and this really helped tremendously. Cheers.
@@bryzgarage5028 I've been working on this today for a few hours. I think I did the reverse in terms of the cable run. I did everything in the back first, and I'm feeding the RCA cable for the head unit forward through the van. I'm almost there. The toughest part is over, thank goodness. Almost ready to snake the wire under the front door threshold.
@@bryzgarage5028 I followed your advice and installed a backup camera for my 2005 Dodge Caravan minivan. Yes, I had to extend the video RCA cable (I used a RCA audio adapter with female ends on both sides connected to a 6' RCA VGA cable, male to male ends). I also had to also extend the wires coming from the camera I.e., positive and and negative. Camera works great. It goes well with my new 10" android head unit. My next project? A underseat subwoofer. :). Yes, white (faded) with lime, light green stripe (+) and dark green with black stripe (-). I confirmed the wiring with the Haynes break down manual for my Dodge 2005 caravan.
Awesome video dude. This will be very helpful with my install. I loved that you did most of the install with one hand. One question though. How did you identify the ground wire?
I have the same van, Same color, mine is a 2005, I have a question for you Why can't I install the camera under the bumper? It would save alot of time and be so much easier IMO, I also have a tip, install the ground wire to the Body (metal), I hooked it up to the reverse ground wire and Everytime I hit the brakes the camera got grainy, moved it to the body and works great
James, I wish I would have seen your comment before I wired mine up to the tail light ground yesterday. I've noticed some video noise when the brakes are on. I have the same year van as well. Going to try your suggestion.
Hi. BryzGarage, thank you for your backup camera installation video. I was wondering which stereo did you used in your vehicle? Would you share the make and model number & price of the stereo?

Bryzgarage can you tell us what size (wire gauge) tap connector was used to splice wires together?

Не надо было сверлить дыру, под ручкой есть отверстие где проходят провода от подсветки номерного знака 🤷♂️😉😂
