Really much appreciated. You went extra mile to pinpoint the steps required. I was watching as if it was me doing it. Very natural, straightforward and pleasant to watch. I will do it tomorrow for my Grand Caravan and fingers crossed I manage to guide the camera wires correctly. Drilling may be an option. Thanks for sharing.
Glad I checked this out, did pretty much the same but there was no power on the reverse. so I guess I did the right thing, but now have to find out why there is no lights back there. 2013 caravan.
Thanks so much for taking the time to show how to install on a Caravan. Is there a bit of wire showing where the wire moves from the door panel to the where you hid the wire under the gasket coming from the brake light unit?
I also enjoyed the video a lot. I would have loved to have seen an end result of the wires meeting each other in the top left of the door. That was my main concern before I was going to start this and realized my reverse lights were separate from my hatch.
I was wondering how the camera went on when it went in reverse. Cool idea using the reverse lights. Then the transmitter, so no wires to run down the length of the car/van. All great ideas. I'm going to try to find a whole in dash option so I dont have the monitor hanging around on my windshield. This vid was 2 years ago so I'm sure they have come a long way.
Do you know how I would run a cable from the camera to the front of my Grand Caravan if I were to use one that wasn't wireless? Wireless cams are a little out of my budget right now.
@@FarmerBrad I'd rather not have to run it outside of the car. Do you know if the plastic pieces of the floor that go across the doors can pop out enough to stick a wire through? Or is it possible to push a wire into the edges of the headliner?

Looks like a little wire was exposed on that left side, so when you open the back you can see it.
Great video.
Me: *Clicks video on how to install*
Video: "You'll have to figure out your own way of installing it"
Cue 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' theme ....
Thanks for the guide. It was very helpful!
Great! I'm doing the same cam today on our 2011 Grand Caravan! Thanks!
How did it go?
@@Dragonfly_vbz it was great! Worked for the time we had the van - I was also able to remove the cam from the van when we traded it in :)

We're you able to hide the wire from the cigarette lighter to the screen?
Very helpful video

I saw your video and i wonder, how do you open now the gate, you installed the camera right where the hang is, is it not annoying?
You skipped the crush cable part. How did u bring the wiring down without crushing it
where did you hide the wire coming from the tail light?
Thanks for sharing

I think the ignition is on the same circuit. Connect front to ignition and back like he did.
Great job done!
Thanks man!
