I have to say the quality of the rear camera is really good. Most are very subpar due to the focus being placed on the front camera. Thank for the video.
Thank you for all the effort you put in making the video. Here's a long-term case. Met a small accident only to find that this G900 dashcam didn't record it because the firmware was outdated. Updated the firmware and recordings have started. I feel irrespective of firmware it should keep doing its job. It's rare that people will check firmware every month.
@@ukkhushal dashcam should always record the footage even if the firmware is out of date. However sometimes you might have to format SD card if you don't see the recording icon. If you got to an accident your file will be locked in a different secure folder, so it won't be recorded over. there is a chance that your accident was recorded and locked in a different folder.
@TampaTec I've checked all folders. Also, the last recordings were from 3 months ago. It did show the recording sign, but strangely didnt have any recordings even the normal ones. It's an amazing recorder and very helpful during rains and night time. Gives great view. Its just this one case which I thought to share. Although not ideal but i recommend every once in a while to check if the recordings are actually being saved.
Liked you're presentation, not rushed as if hurrying to bypass questionable areas... I'm looking at this unit because it appears to be a newer model, I'd be mounting it in a full size semi for my own protection, obviously don't need inside view , but rather both sides overlapping front center, the clarity is a huge plus!, Many other advantages in a small unit that i own instead of trying to get footage from the company camera system that most over the road trucks carry for insurance reasons, thanks!!😊
Bought the 930 based off this review, we'll see how it goes. Mostly I want a backup cam on my old Camry but might as well get a dash cam too. Thanks 😸!
on 13:25 I see that your rear view is normal when seeing the recording, but I assume(AND HOPE) that when you drive and see the rear-view camera Live on the 'mirror' display then it's mirrored(so your left will be your left) as it's looking back. Correct? I just try to figure it out here, on how this things work.
I can see this evolving into a really nice camera. For starters, the rear camera is really slick. That's a really good feature. I don't think I like the front camera placement though. Seems to be just a bit too high which causes it to pick up a lot of the grid material on the windshield. So I don't think this type of camera would be ideal for certain vehicles at the moment because certain windshields have even more of that grid material. Personally, I think they should opt for a front camera that mounts on the windshield that connects to the windshield unit with a short cable. That way, the front camera would always be fixed just like the rear camera. Also, would be nice if it had WiFi or an LTE version so you could connect to it remotely from an app.
Hey bro. Great video. I hardwired it. Quick question. When I put the car into P and take the keys out. My screen remains on. Is there anyway for the screen to turn off automatically after I take the keys out? I don't want to use the screensaver bc I was hoping the screen would auto turn off after I turn the car off.
I know this is a late answer but there's a box with the hardwire kit that detects if the voltage drops below 12v, once it detects lower voltage it will shut off the camera if your car hasn't been used in a couple days.
Do you still recommend ….how did the Florida summer weather go w/ the hardware? Did everything still work well w/ no issues? We live in the CA desert. Thank you
Please note that the rear camera may require frequent cleaning during inclement weather conditions, such as rain, snow, or mud. This can impair the camera's functionality and compromise visibility of the surroundings behind the vehicle.
Thank you for the instructions on installing it. Been thinking of ordering one for awhile now. One thing I’m unsure of is how it records? Do you have to manually trigger it to record each time you get into your vehicle? Does it automatically start recording when it’s running? Or does it only trigger when it gets bumped? Thanks for your time!

is there an app i can view my car camera live? Also the rear camera, could i install that inside where my rear windscreen is or does it have to be outside, thanks
Awesome review man! Thank you! Quick question, is there an internal time/date battery? For example, if I use the cigarette lighter power, and power gets cut with ignition, will it retain the time and date? Or do I have to reset time and date?
Great video, but the accompanying instructions recommends testing everything before any installation is done. There's a lot of work that goes into the installation, so it would be frustrating to find it doesn't work after it's installed.
I use it in display saver mode aka mirror mode. Yes this mirror records in mirror mode and since this mirror is wider it's better visibility than my old mirror.
Just bought it and installed it. So, the main job of the mirror is mirroring things behind you. I just can't believe that if I put it to a sleep mode, putting the reverse the image don't go on...Only if the mirror cam is on (and in that case I dont have a mirror because it's shows it's icons) it automaticly switch to the back camera, once I insert the reverse..Does your mirror dash cam is showing automatically the reverse picture when you insert the reverse IN CASE YOU HAVE SWITCHED THE MODE TO HAVE ONLY THE MIRROR or you need to turn it on like me in order to see the reverse picture, but in that case the mirror is ON with it's icons so you can't see the things behind your car? Tnx
How can one see the mirror only without camera images and only time and gps coordinate on the screen? I'm about to return this item because I don't think it has this feature. 😫
In my opinion, it would be advantageous if the device had three channels: front, cabin, and rear. Regrettably, this is not the case, so I will continue to use my Ventures.
Either or you can split it and have both. With it set to rear you get to keep a functioning rearview mirror. I don't like front or split. Split is too small to be useful and Front is absurd when I should be looking out the window.

I don't understand what I'm doing wrong, but nothing I do seems to crimp the red backup camera wire to the t splice correctly. No matter how hard I crimp, no matter what tool I use (pliers, crimp tool), the red wire is easy to pull out from the crimped area. I even tried using non-conventional crimping tools like a vice and a dull pipe cutter and nothing seems to secure the red wire to the connector. Might I add that I'm using the exact same camera and red wire, as well as the exact same t splice, and I've even tried with and without crimping the insulation and nothing works. Please advise.
