I was not aware of the "kettlebell uppercut" but it looks amazing. You always have the best tips & exercises, Brian.
absolute legend. an actual positive influencer i have been a supporter since 2016 happy youre doing well. keep inspiring! also i know you will be an amazing counselor, seems like a role you have been providing since you have started your channel.
I really appreciate this, my friend! And all of your support for so long
I've been doing this standing for a bit, and I gotta say, I think it's got insane potential for combat sports training. Probably general sports training really, but specifically the standing version with a more upright posture and an active snap back down into the bottom position simultaneously trains the kind of rotation needed for punching and for many kinds of throws.
Of course if you're just training for *any* kind of rotational movement and not specifically those, I could definitely see the kneeling version suiting many people better. And having the advantage of engaging the core more by taking almost any residual leg drive out of the equation.
Paired this with SSB squats. My whole groin is broken now. Love you Brian ❤
oh I'm trying this one tomorrow! thanks for the info, Brother!
Thanks for this helpful content !
Did it with a plate today and I like it, thanks 👍
Thanks for making this video, because I just got to day 2 of Masters 45 and had to look up a kettlebell uppercut. Btw I got my knee surgery and I am almost back to my old self.
Freaking trying these tomorrow night! I'll stay away from the windows, cars, and bourbon.
Hi Brian! Thank you so much! When are your brand new programs due? I’m waiting for them!!
I love kettlebells but hate watching most people do them in the gym. Most people don’t know to do basic swings.
Tbf, I squatted up my swings for years when I was younger. Hinge movements in general give beginners a hard time.
Great video!
Also the somersault at the end 🤣
Using these to make my rugby scrum half pass as quick as a bullet
eh man...I did these so wrong yesterday. Thanks for the clarification
My coach often programs these, but we use a cable with a rope attachment. Torches the core and the shoulders, for me! Similar idea, Brian?
Is this motion the exact same for a Weighted Mace uppercut? Forehand or backhand?
My new favorite rotational core exercise, thanks Brian!
This looks like max effort lawn mower starting
Think this will help reduce back pain/stiffness? Been reading that back pain is mainly core/spinal instability, so I've been looking for core routines/movements.
I think this will give you a hernia.
You should look into heavy club training.
It is essentially dynamic stability exercise, much less risky than ballistic movement.
I would tend to agree that if you have an acute problem, you should not start with movements like the one Brian is demonstrating here!
However, once you have eliminated pain (rehab) and bulletproofed your spine, hips, shoulders (prehab), you may want to come back to explosive rotational work.
Hope this helps! :)
Mark Wildman YT channel is the best place to start, in my opinion.
Brian can you make a video about the pull up?

I have an entire playlist dedicated to the pull-up my friend. You’ll find like 20 vids there
@@BrianAlsruheOfficial Thanks brother
Yeeeeeeeah
Thanks man!
That's a good idea. Especially if you use it with a band attached it would be even awesome-er.
It’s pretty hard even without the band
@@BrianAlsruheOfficial I guess it it. I got to try it without a band first. :)
What does this exercise work?
Lats/ V cut!
I was really concerned when we were more than 4 "do's" into a Brian Alsruhe video and we hadn't covered breathing and bracing.
Interesting movement, I'll give it a try tomorrow.
How heavy is this KB?
53lbs that’s literally the first thing in the video
@@BrianAlsruheOfficial hey I'm watching at work, I sometimes miss a snippet here and there 😂
Haha understandable brother
👍🤠 thanks
Thanks for always supporting Randy
Hell yea, some unconventional functions! Obliques smoked, anything else that gets sore is a bonus.
Those aren't biceps, those are watermelons
