Brian’s got his beard set to “Lumberjack mode”
Paul Bunyan skin unlocked.
You haven't seen the accidental side business/bushcraft videos? He is a lumberjack now.
I like seeing your less than optimal sessions; I think we get bombarded with "perfect" workout content so much that we forget that not every session is going to be an all time best PR. Hope the shoulder heals up.
Keep at it man! You've helped thousands get to their goals! Myself included. Now get after it for yourself! We are here for it
I personally enjoy these training sessions. Recovery is part of life, so these videos are refreshing and educational. PS - Please say hello to Miles for us! :)
Glad to see your shoulder is getting better and your regaining that strength.
I grew up working with lumber and splitting firewood, that is indeed hard ass work. And the poison ivy got me so often no matter how hard I tried 😆
1:18 So THAT’S what a Viking Berserker looks like!
I’m 46 and I grew up helping my old man drop trees, cut the brush off, cut the wood, split the wood by hand. Load it, unload it, stack it, bring it in each night for heat etc. It truly is exhausting work. I love this video , I can relate to it.
love how you control the weight on the way down as well. Shows true power
Great to see the realism, that's how life is. We do what we can with the time we've got. Great video, really glad to see the numbers getting bigger for you!
Appreciate all you do brother!
Love the training videos Brian!
Great video! Glad to see you back at it, big dawg. Hopefully that shoulder heals up soon. Cheers!
Love this style of video! Keep them coming
Seeing your struggle and indomitable attitude is a huge inspiration for all of us struggling too. Please keep sharing these they are very helpful! Wishing you steady progress and a speedy recovery!
glad you are making progress brian. hoping your shoulder gets better
Really enjoyed the video!
Loved your informative videos on exercises etc but it’s always interesting for me to follow someone’s training and their thought processes, what their goals are, what they are struggling with etc.
Excellent!!
One of the best guys out there. Great and enjoyable content
Good explanation of the bands. I always thought that was dumb, and now I understand.
Enjoy taking advantage of what you can choose, perceive, experience, experiment, indulge in as you are now, rather than simply strive to 'be the competitor I was' - get there the scenic route, is all I'm saying. Usually those things manifest a superior and hardened competitor down the long road.
Keep up the great content
Love to see your training-footage again! Just like old times
Absolutely
I worked in tree care for a long time. Had shoulder pain on my right side forever which was my arm I was sawing with mostly. Realized my lat was stupid tight. Added in db pullovers and light (like 95 lbs) overhead squats. Really stretched and balanced things out. I don’t saw much anymore but feel it in my shoulder if I do
Movement hesitancy and pain sucks! Best of luck with the recovery!
Those overhand swings in high numbers are known to cause shoulder problems, been doing them since mid 70,'s, have done firewood and stave bolts old fashioned style, it's a great feeling but don't let it stop you from living life
Dude you’re a BEAST and a sick bastard with all that lumber processing lol. Even hurt lol. Stronger than 99% of us healthy. Thank you for turning me on to Cerberus Strength! Ken and Team are awesome! Lastly post up your “work” pants, axes etc. oh and that bar. My shoulders could use that neutral grip. Thank you!
Training vids are always great to see. Watching athletes I admire putting in the work helps me feel good about my life choices lol
I bought your Deja vu program about a month ago and it is kicking my butt
Yeah, I feel you. We heat with hood.
I gave up on splitting all by hand. My right side is always so tight from running the chain saw and controlling the axe.
I now split maybe 30% by hand. The rest I use the splitter. In my case, I like using the splitter because my wife and children can help as well.
Looks class brian
Hi Brian, man I learned about sandbag training last week thru one of your videos. It was love at first sight. I’m pretty active workout 4-5x week plus BJJ. However, two weeks ago a had a partial tear of the outside tendon in one of my knees. I’m back to doing some workout but with restrictions on knee intensive stuff.
Finally, I wanted to ask you if you can create a video/paid program/blog post
Adjusting the everyday carry program for those with knee issues? Thanks
Have to respect a man working hard then getting in workouts while recovering from a decently debilitating injury, thanks for the inspiration and damn those farmers walks with the axes dug in look badass
Just started weightlifting! 💪
Please put up more training vifeos😊👍
It would be awesome if you got to compete again 🤞💪
Brian! You should make a review on the spider bar. I’ve been interested in buying one, but not sure the application point and efficacy of a hybrid cambered/SSB bar.
Thanks!
-Eric
That's brains 5 o'clock shadow!
1:18 Sick moves
BP 157…..give it a shot. Will help u heal. Good luck.
Hey Brian, what's the update on your various health problems, Lyme disease, schistosomiasis, etc...
I would love to see a video on what books Brian reads
Your deadlift section makes me wonder - are there any belts you'd recommend?
Hi Brian, When are you dropping the next 25dollar ebook and what program will that be?
Good to hear you're feeling fit enough to consider competing again. Planning on trying to gain any weight back?
Can you do a video about your full day of eating at this moment?
Have always liked your training vids. One critique, for what it's worth, is that your knees are not coming back fast enough on your deadlifts. Both in your training clothes and work clothes, you are trying to "pull" the bar over your knees then attempting the hinge with a forward shin angle (no bueno!). The shins should be vertical by the time the bar reaches right under the kneecaps, then power through forward to the stationary, vertical shins with the hips/hinge. Basically, and counterintuitive, you need to use your lower back more to keep the bar going straight up without trying to pull it backwards (biggest mistake I see most make is they pull the bar backwards instead of working on bringing the hips to the bar), then bringing the hips to it. I have a feeling you're using too much weight for your fatigue level in these deads. The CNS will make it happen, but at the expense of your knees, and especially hips over-time. I'd say either come in fresher with the same weight, or drop the weights when your fatigue level is up there.
I bet Brian’s beard can bench 2 plates lol I am happy for you and cheering you on
Wouldn't the bamboo bar be good for shoulder rehab?
No weighted pull ups?
I get tired watching you. Love the vids buddy.
Decent video, but you know we just watch these for the Kona/Nala cameos, right? Just one at 8:12? You gotta step up the Rhodesian Ridgeback content, my man.
So Brian that may have been the heaviest 510lbs for you. Meanwhile as someone who has started hook grip 365x3 hurt more than I could ever imagine.
Now i have to know, how many cameras have u destroyed by falling trees🤣
💪
Use the momentum, my man, but try to take note of signs of wear and tear. Would hate to see your progress be undone :
I fucking broke my back today squatting, went home trough the store, bought like 100€ worth of food as a student, fell in the stairs because my back fucked my balance, everything in backpack broke and spilled everywhere, I punched the wall and broke my knuckle and now I'm home drinking yagermaister. Good fucking life
Life gets better brother, just hang on
@@micahandjessi I just ran out of toilet paper cleaning this mess jesus fucking christ
Lol you'll get better I promise
First.
