Beautiful technique. Came here from a Larnell Lewis video demonstrating this for doubles. I’m genuinely glad to see that same technique working reliably for quads!
As someone who does those licks myself I always find they don't translate with enough power in a live situation. I use it for certain things but when I really need power and I want to emphasize a part I'm sorry I use my double pedal. When it's just the groove of a song, Yes single pedal all the way but when we're emphasizing apart I want "emphasis"!!
@@lou19 You off course need effort, but it doesn't mean that effort will eventually make you achieve anything. You can't have it with no effort (for the large majority of people), but you can also not have it despite great effort.
So there’s actually a drumeo video where a guy uses this exact slide technique to do quads JUST like this. It’s literally the exact same technique the guy is using in this video. I can’t rem, ember the name of the video itself or the guy who teaches it, but he does a great job breaking down the technique. I’m sure a quick search and you would find it
Well done, but I wouldn’t call this a “how to.”
Yeah, more like a 'watch me doing it for a bit' video
Slow it down to 0.25 X 🤷♂️
r u blind lol

Thank you very much, I really appreciate your comment. 🙏
Would've been more interesting to hear it on an acoustic bass drum. How loud are the hits?
dope

Naice..
Thank you
I think I've accepted that I'll never be this good at drumming
I think i've accepted that i'm not willing to put the effort needed to get to this level*
@@lou19 Not everything is about effort. What a strange mentality it is...

Just promise you will try!!
Fucking nice!!!
Thank you
"Look at me playing quad"... well done anyway
do it without the springs connected to test yourself
good technique, I hope you make a tutorial playing slower. And could you play that technique continuously? so that it sounds like a fast double pedal?
Thank you
If you want the technique slower, you can decrease the video velocity in the options

what pedal is that that is bigger than your shoe?
This technique is toe heel opposite of heel toe
Nicko McBrain would be proud :)
Thank you brorher 🙏🙏🤗
How u do that
trilogy
step 1: get smaller feet 🥲
I have accepted that my feet are too large for this
Idk how big your feet are but there are bass drum pedals with extended footboards
Me when I can't play this technique: Double paddle is better 😂
