That is awesome. If I had children I always said I would home school my children. More so now that I work for an online school and I get to talk with so many families who share stories of how online school with our school has allowed the family to take field trips for educational purposes and not have to worry about missing school.

This may sound strange, but it honestly warms my heart that you take the time to do your daughter's hair in the morning. I see so many people, Homesteaders included, that don't take the time to make sure that hair is out of the faces so we can see the beautiful smiles! I just wanted you to know...🥰
One way to have proof of residency is to mail yourself a letter. Our post office told us about this little trick.

I really enjoyed seeing Zach fold clothes! It made me smile from ear to ear the rest of the video. I can’t remember the last time I saw a man do that. What a very inexpensive gift that is so very valuable and meaningful.

Actually, washing clothes inside out can save wear and tear especially on designs and it can minimize the fuzz factor too. (Never wash fuzzy towels with regular laundry & close zippers so they don’t rub on other garments.) A mesh laundry bag can help keep socks from vanishing in the “sick eating dryer” or washer. Cuffing socks together when you throw them in the laundry basket can help ensure each pair makes it to the wash. 😉

I love you guys! You make everything look like it should all run so smooth! We need to set up a better routine for bedrooms! 😭 We have the kids get up and dressed and ready and then straight to school work, then while I clean the house they go play and then cooking in-between and all the other crazy of the day... But we need a smoother routine to keep everything rocking! My hubby works all day so it's just me and the 3 littles all day. I feel like by the time they are done with school (we are doing virtual learning from our public school) they only have a little time left in the day to run and play and then have family time in the evening. I want them to have chores also to help but then they won't have enough time to play! PS we all need those water bottles here! So awesome!

Stivers Homestead I had my little boys sleep in sleeping bags I cut down to make short. I didn’t want them to have to worry about the hassle of formal bed making. I also traveled with them quite a bit so their bedding was always familiar to them. In my later years, I discovered I don’t really need an extra top sheet when sleeping under a duvet. I can wash the duvet cover instead. I love my down comforter and pillow!! I lived in Sweden for a year and learned that down is warm in winter and quite cool in summer. Europeans don’t always make their beds in the morning but they roll the duvet back so it can air out during the day.

Thats why you should not sleep next to your phone. Thats why people wear blue blockers before bedtime. All that funky light can disturb your sleep cycles and the quality of your sleep.

@@jgwood10 yes the visible light won't show, however, the infrared is still pulsing and disturbing your sleep.
They say the listen to us by the phones in our house.Scary.
@@jgwood10 mine is face down to. I use an old cell phone that's not hooked up to my cell service as my alarm. But I keep it face down. And my regular phone goes on silent.

Cetaphil is an awesome product for skincare generally, not just on your face. I have cancer and due to all the medication that gets pumped into me daily, my skin is a mess. A little bump means at LEAST a whopper of a bruise, if not breaking the skin. I use Cetaphil all over, head to toe, And while my skin is still delicate it is in at least semi-good condition.

Awesome that you all say the Pledge one of my fondest memories from school was saying the Pledge of Allegiance and singing America the the Beautiful it instilled such Pride for America. It's a shame that this has been omitted from from our schools. The kids now don't get that feeling of pride, the feeling that they belong to a great country that we did. There's so much division now we need to go back to the old ways. The best parents ever 👍

Your family is so...wholesome ❤ I'm a single mom of a 4yr old who's dad passed in April (and although he wasn't living with us or present like he wanted to be, he was still "with" us which in an of itself was helpful) and I take care of my 72yr old Vietnam Veteran dad who's like a 4 to 6 yr old child. Seeing your family dynamic and your day to day routines are, in my opinion, what a true nuclear family is and I'm so grateful you allow me into your life! I get such wholesome, honest, inspiration and ideas from you guys and you help me be the best mom (and now dad) that I can be. God bless your family and all the ppl watching your channel!
