I can't understand why people are so worried about how much you make. You all teach us so much about farming, family, and just making me happy in a time of so much sadness. I thank you both for sharing the joy you share with your family. God bless on future projects.

I agree with you but I think sometimes people are really trying to decide if it might be worth the effort to start a channel of their own and this is a kind of “market research “ for them . Definitely does not matter to me . I wish them all the best in all of their ventures.

I only found their channel a month ago but since then I have watching all their videos and they are a joy to watch . The first video I saw was when all their goats went missing and then I was hooked. I am looking forward to see everything starting afresh in their new home , with the new greenhouse and the kitchen garden is going to be amazing I reckon and lots of new baby goats on the way too .
Plenty for me to watch while stuck indoors on lockdown here in the UK for at least 6 weeks .
I pray the world will come through this terrible time and things can return to normal ( I think it's going to be a while though ) . 🌍🐾🌻☮

Thank you for being transparent and sharing about income from youtube. Most youtubers are very vague when they are asked that question. I think you and Jenn will eventually make a good living from youtube if you keep working at it and building up more subscribers. I haven't read all the comments, so this may be a repeat, but Al Lumnah was able to quit his job and do youtube full time, and he recently was able to buy 500 acres of land, but it took him several years to build up to that. Keep up the good work, Zach and Jenn!

I never knew one must watch ads had to google it , didn't understand the thumbs up or none of it . Thought one must thumbs up and comments were what helped but what it said was to watch at least 30 seconds of add and if you order from said adds that's what helped out . Definitely nothing I knew about but just enjoyed watching .

Thanks for the transparency. It seems social media platforms intentionally keep revenue info vague (or maybe there is a steep learning curve). It was nice to hear it in layman's terms.

Scooby do works for me. I don't care for the taste. At least the ones from a store.
Thanx Zach for being honest about the pay from UA-cam. I'm hoping to start a channel when I start my new homestead. That way my kids & grandkids and great grandkids can see what their Grammie is doing 3 - 4 states away from them. I also know it can take years to build a channel so I know not to rely on the income, but it will be helpful once my channel gets a few reliable subscribers.

It is refreshing to see a youtube channel so refreshing and honest. Great insight into the trials, tribulations and many successes of your homestead on youtube channel. You have great planning and foresight into what you want to achieve and the path to accomplish those goals. It seems starting a homestead in like writing a thesis sentence for an essay. Look at the desired goal --- What do you want to accomplish and how are you going to get theres. Great Job. Joy Giles

I make 2 gallons of kombutcha every two weeks. While my brew works I get extra scobies. These baby scobies go into my Scobie "hotel" this is a gal. jug with plenty of sweet tea for their food. From each new batch of my brew I take out 1 cup per gal. and add to my hotel. This is the starter for my next batch. My hotel is covered and put into a dark corner of my kitchen . Surprise ! This hotel grows more scobies, sometimes I have so many large scobies that I need to evict some of my "tenents that means the chicken get the over flow and in turn are much healthier. Hope this helps you in your keeping of scobies. Happy New Year.

I TOTALLY agree with you. As an income, for the majority of creators on YT, the income is from it is extremely unreliable. Anything you make is gravy and not to be relied on for day to day living expenses. If I put more effort into YT, I would probably be able to monetize again. But, like you, my goal is to make a profit off of the farm. At least I have our SS for our living expenses.

Tuesday morning, no hit on the goat milk soap . 😭
I made the calendula salve a few years ago and it’s great. I also did goat milk bath a couple of years ago with stuff from my garden , lavender and calendula. It was awesome but I bought the powdered goat milk and it was super expensive. I work in a store that sells premium olive oils and balsamic vinegars so had some excellent high phenol oils to work with . Love you guys 💝

Yes Totally agree. Our farm/homestead is what I do as my job. With youtube too. I don't have ads yet, as I still need to meet the 4,000 hours. 930 to go. We plan to have a farm shop. Bc ny shop in town was sold. Which is ok. I still have Facebook and my customers know how to get ahold of me if they nees anything goat milk beauty products. Or CBD related. Thank you for sharing. God Bless

Any thoughts on a chicken video? We hear so much about the goats and some on the pigs (I love both btw).... how did the chicks you got from Hoover earlier in 2020 turn out? Any breeds you have learned you preferred over the other?

Well now, I don't care how much you make on youtube any more than I care how much you make elsewhere- its kinda private to my mind, but I do think you are right that people in general are curious and will make up what they don't know so transparency is probably a good way to cut out the bull etc. What I do care for is watching two funny entertaining down to earth folks who know their craft and whatever they get paid , its not enough to my mind! I'd pay double haha! by the way, I did have Gold membership- anybody reading this, it is another way to support this awesome channel, however , you tube has not figured out how to allow me to change my email address so I will have to start all over again! I was subscribed and paid up til december so I will start afresh from january, but really disappointed that I wont show up as being a member since the start! ALSO The calendula salve is awesome folks , so don't just hanker after the soap (also awesome), as is the tincture! BUY IT ALL!!!!! and I heard them saying they ship to Canada, yes they do ! I was probably their first Canadian customer and they did an awesome job of tracking down my order when canada post was useless! all the best guys, you can do this and fulfill your debt free ambitions.
