No problem at all! Thanks for watching and if you have any questions regarding this stuff feel free to ask away! Room mic and getting the right amount of overhead is key to a good mix imo
Very useful trick, and apparently I learned that I might be approaching side chaining the wrong way. I use Bitwig for my DAW and when I select a track to turn on the side chain say my rhythm guitar, and I choose the kick drum track as a chained track, am I actually ducking the kick with my pick attack on guitar? Or am I correctly ducking the guitar to allow the kick to cut through? 😅
To each their own. I personally find that reverb doesn’t give the drums their own unique sound like a room mic does. It just sounds like … reverb I guess. Give it a try and see what you think. I used to be the same way too
Check out my newest track here: ua-cam.com/video/G9yS6nzDink/v-deo.html
Thanks for watching!
Oh, awesome timing! I'm actually trying to dial in my e-kit for recording, so this will be very useful. Thanks again for what u do, man.

What i do is just layer random snare sounds and mix them until i get a sound im satisfied with
Whatever works really. I used to gate white noise to the snare as well. Thanks for checking it out!
This is exactly what I needed. Thanks!
Very glad to hear it! Thanks for watching my friend!
This sounds sick! Are you using ML drums library?
Thanks so much. and yes, I am! The are my go to drums
Mostly the Yamz kit

Eh thanks for checking it out! Whichever instrument the plugin is on will be the one compressed
Idk man sounds a little too phil collins to me i think id rather just turn the room mics down or use a separate reverb altogether
