    Shit like this is what people need to see, especially if they play at all at any level. Like myself, I'm a drummer first but I love messing around with guitar riffing, but I can't read music and don't know any scales on the guitar (no actual training, more of a picked it up and started playing type thing). So, point is little tidbits of info like this are very helpful for musicians like me.

    Wow! This is the first time I've heard anybody mention Ion Dissonance! They're one of my favorite bands! To be fair though, they don't really seem like deathcore to me. They have elements of deathcore, but they're mostly mathcore.
    Edit: I forgot that they had that new Deathcore album. I mostly listen to their old albums.

    • @BrendonKPadjasek
      @BrendonKPadjasek  4 дні тому +1

      Oh yeah their old ones are definitely more like techy/ grindcore. Cool as hell. Minus the herd is probably the most deathcore in. Probably my favourite heavy album of all time.
      Not many people know about them so I always try to sneak them in there to get credit haha

    This is probably the best deathcore tutorial and explanation ive ever seen.
    Ive been playing seriously for 19 years, and i was already playing, pretty much nu metal, when the deathcore scene started forming, i fell in love with it immediately, and kinda naturally fell into playing it.

      @@BrendonKPadjasek tbh i had some ideas on how to play deathcore, since i'm those kind of music producers who play a little of each instrument, and i love extreme metal and deathcore. I knew some of the techniques u shared by mere practicing some suicide silence songs (or fragments to be more precise), and the techs i didn't know trully felt like it solidified all that i had learned on my own. Literally all I learned was compressed in this vid, and more, which made it perfect for me! I checked some of ur other vids and they all seem to be really really helpful, since i use ableton all the time and i have a couple of synths, so i might go in a rabbit hole with ur channel.

    Need a 7 string drop C to play death core. Not for average guitarist

      I wouldn't say that really true. Many OG deathcore bands used 6 strings. It's not the amount of strings, it's how you use them

    You should really mute your room mic when your playing and just use straight DI. it's giving a weird delayed feedback sound off

      Its not a room mic, its actually a function in the guitar amp to split the signal from mono to stereo to listen as if you're double tracking. I enjoy using it when playing guitar as it feels closer to being in a room with an amp
