@@yellowcard8100it's because through his multiple 4th wall breaks he puts himself below the audience and Wolverine so when he does something disrespectful it doesn't matter
@@yellowcard8100 I kinda disagree. Whilst it's meant to SEEM disrespectful, the scene does build up the point of trying to undo Wolverine's death, but it works perfectly, because in the process, it actually respects the impact and finality that Logan shows as a movie by keeping him dead and showing that he's absolutely dead, albeit morbidly and humorously. It's there to go "yeah, that Logan's story ended perfectly, and we're not meddling with it". New era, new/different Logan. It's a Deadpool-styled love letter and send off to Fox's Logan.
For supporting cast, Colossus was a real stand out. One of the absolute funniest parts of the first movie was when Deadpool tries to beat up Colossus, making Deadpool the butt of the joke of someone trying to punch and kick a nigh indestructible man. Colossus, meanwhile is just tired and feeling sorry for Deadpool's stupidity. It was made all the funnier given how the movie came out at the beginning of 2016, which was the year of repetitive superhero vs superhero projects, and they managed to spoof them all with Deadpool vs Colossus (probably a more accurate version of Batman vs Superman than Zach Snyder's movie).
The thing with the 4th wall breaks is that for she hulk as far as i know it's not explained WHY she does it. For deadpool he didn't start break the 4th wall until AFTER his powers manifested. The other characters in deadpool can hear him breaking the 4th wall, but believe that it is a mental effect of his mutation
One of the funniest jokes from the Deadpool comics IMO is when a different character comments on something from a yellow narration box and Deadpool exclaims, "You can see those yellow boxes too?!" To which the other character flatly states, "What yellow boxes? You just keep narrating things out loud and we can all hear you." The next narration box is then in a smaller font as though the narrator is whispering.
The reason why she hulk breaks the fourth wall is because she did so in the comics. Before deadpool and all. So that's why they make her break the fourth wall in the series, but they do so very poorly
That was prob my only gripe with the 1st Deadpool movie. Wade was breaking the 4th wall (indirectly referring to the Green Lantern movie) before Francis triggered his mutation.
Personally I don’t like my characters to interact with the viewing audience in a movie. It makes me realize this is a movie instead of me getting caught up in the plotting and wicked away the 4th wall break brings you back to reality.
The best She-Hulk 4th wall break in comics was when she was visiting a friend and needed to get to her office in a hurry, but traffic was going to be bad so she grabs her friend and just walks to the next panel over (her office) and her friend is all, _"HOW ARE YOU DOING THIS?!"_ Simple humor we never saw in the show.
LOL. I remember a cover where she was in a bikini and when you open the book, the first splash page has her yelling right at the reader "A bikini cover?! REALLY?!"

She hulk gets cat called Bruce was abused, hunted by the military, tried to kill himself multiple times, and struggled to be the person in control of his own body. His friends had to launch him into space the last time he lost control (where he had to fight, found love, had a kid, then watched the planet die) just to eventually come home and be humbled by thanos then and only then to finally gain control of himself
I feel like people entirely miss the point of this distinction. She Hulk never says that her struggles are WORSE- just that her struggles directly link to the skill of being in control of yourself. Bruce being abused or trying to kill himself would not make him better at controlling his anger. They'd arguable mean he'd have LESS control which is exactly what we see. On the other hand, having to deal with sexist remarks and assumptions every day yet knowing you can't respond to them at the risk of damaging your career or 'proving people right' WOULD help you improve that specific skill of self-control.
@@mutantdevleWell that clearly isnt true since she went crazy in the courtroom. Yes I normally like to use the word customer instead of fan because it clarifies the financial relationship. But I think you are correct here. Also I think it's more specific. The Deadpool writers absolutely adore their fans who grew up on Deadpool comics and X-Men comics. And the writers of She-Hulk obviously despised She-Hulk's male fans. Simple. Deadpool’s character actually had development. We got to see him from the very beginning and understanding what happened to him. We’ve been with Deadpool longer and we love him. I watched She-Hulk and the writing was lazy and she had no development whatsoever. She got powers from Bruce and she was just better than him in every way with no effort or explanation. She-Hulk is quite mean to the other characters without any consequence. They just exist to make her shine. When Deadpool mocks another character, there's usually a pay-off : punishment, contradiction, surprise, etc... The side characters aren't bland, some of them have a goal or an arc. Colossus tries to educate Deadpool, Dopinder wants to be brave,... They also all have their moment of glory and Deadpool is often the dumbass (ex : when he mocks Domino's power while we see her being an absolute badass).
She-Hulk was written to be self entitled, self absorbed, overly angry, and a completely non-likeable character. She thinks being cat called by men while crossing the street is so much worse than the trauma of witnessing your father murder your mother, which is Bruce Banner's back story from the first Hulk movie. Oh, yeah that's so much rougher. Gah.... What the hell? Also the marvel "creators" who worked on the tv show were completely inept. Twerking? Seriously? Stupid time wasting garbage.
Also insults the Avengers and calls them nothing but Narcissistic Orphans. Okay, Narcissistic is one thing (and only Tony Stark can be described as that) but mocking them for being Orphans is way too far. The only thing She-Hulk got right is that she is not cut out to be a superhero. Because she would make a very poor one at that.
I think the main difference is that Deadpool has a more playful tone in its self-referential humor. While She-Hulk feels more like they're only trying to appeal to single women in their 30's. Deadpool feels like pre-cancellation Family Guy while She-Hulk feels like modern Family Guy. Plus, Deadpool's comedy is character-driven while She-Hulk's comedy has no rhyme or rhythm. Not to mention Deadpool is more than just comedy, it's also a story about a man battling between self-doubt and desire to be a part of something bigger than himself. He wants to be a hero, but he doesn't think he can be because he's too trigger-happy. What was She-Hulk about?
She-Hulk the show tries too hard to be "relatable" to adult single women whereas Deadpool is unapologetically himself, which ironically, resonates with me more as a thirty year old woman.
probably one of the biggest ways Deadpool's jokes work is from how they're layered, like the Blade joke works in a lot of ways because the MCU Blade is in development but ALSO because its in development hell with constant jokes abot it never releasing, adding another layer of "well he might be right" She-Hulk's jokes were the complete oopposite, going for a lot of simple and bland jokes that mostly only go over one way, there's less substance and layers to the show's comedy, even the Hulk joke, which was the closest, only really had that one layer, better matching jokes the quick jokes that are thrown out in quick succession in the first 2 DP movies like on which Professor X they're taliing about, its not meant to be a standalone joke, its simple and the writers knew that and followed up with more on par or better
there is also humor in body language and mistakes Deadpool in full suit moves like a cartoon, like when he discoverd Francis escaped the highway, looks back and front is just you can see what he is thinking. with mistakes is when he was about make an awesome entrance he realised he forgot the bag with weapons.

Deadpool doesn't blatantly disrespect the audience.
I mean, he kinda does. But again, he does it funnier. Deadpool digs up Logan's dead corpse and plays with it. It's a massive disrespect to that movie but it's also funny.
He is kinda nice to the audience, I freaking love Deadpool, I made drawings of a few marvel characters, and Deadpool was the best
Does She-Hulk disrespect the audience?
Deadpool is like DBZ Abridged. It makes fun of the genre but it’s clearly coming from a place of love and being a fan.
Definitely
That's exactly what this is
Also doesn't hurt the Deadpool knows what he is and place to a strengths
The thing with the 4th wall breaks is that for she hulk as far as i know it's not explained WHY she does it.
For deadpool he didn't start break the 4th wall until AFTER his powers manifested.
The other characters in deadpool can hear him breaking the 4th wall, but believe that it is a mental effect of his mutation
One of the funniest jokes from the Deadpool comics IMO is when a different character comments on something from a yellow narration box and Deadpool exclaims, "You can see those yellow boxes too?!"
To which the other character flatly states, "What yellow boxes?

She hulk gets cat called
Bruce was abused, hunted by the military, tried to kill himself multiple times, and struggled to be the person in control of his own body. His friends had to launch him into space the last time he lost control (where he had to fight, found love, had a kid, then watched the planet die) just to eventually come home and be humbled by thanos then and only then to finally gain control of himself
And watch a woman who he loved scarfice herself to bring everyone back while he crippled his arm that may never be the same again
One fourth wall break I loved in Deadpool 3 was when Wade grabbed the camera, said “Suck it fox-“ and then he grabbed the mic, spoke directly into it and said “-I’m going to disneyland” and then headbutted the camera, breaking the lens

Thank you for saying that. I had a good laugh renembering that part of the film.
It's even funnier when you look at the turn of the movie. Instead of going to the MCU he is literally backtracking to older Marvel heroes who were not part of the MCU
It wasn't a fourth wall break but my favorite side character joke is when Wade was trying to have an emotional birthday speech and after repeatedly getting interrupted he shouts" bitch, are you improving?" and the guy stops

@@adityaadi2116 Shang Chi and Wanda Vision sneaks🤣
She-Hulk is quite mean to the other characters without any consequence. They just exist to make her shine.
When Deadpool mocks another character, there's usually a pay-off : punishment, contradiction, surprise, etc... The side characters aren't bland, some of them have a goal or an arc. Colossus tries to educate Deadpool, Dopinder wants to be brave,... They also all have their moment of glory and Deadpool is often the dumbass (ex : when he mocks Domino's power while we see her being an absolute badass).
Because she hulk is like tryna touch people but its inappropriate, but Deadpool? He's your bestfriend thats already touching you.
She-Hulk the show tries too hard to be "relatable" to adult single women whereas Deadpool is unapologetically himself, which ironically, resonates with me more as a thirty year old woman.
probably one of the biggest ways Deadpool's jokes work is from how they're layered, like the Blade joke works in a lot of ways because the MCU Blade is in development but ALSO because its in development hell with constant jokes abot it never releasing, adding another layer of "well he might be right"
She-Hulk's jokes were the complete oopposite, going for a lot of simple and bland jokes that mostly only go over one way, there's less substance and layers to the show's comedy, even the Hulk joke, which was the closest, only really had that one layer, better matching jokes the quick jokes that are thrown out in quick succession in the first 2 DP movies like on which Professor X they're taliing about, its not meant to be a standalone joke, its simple and the writers knew that and followed up with more on par or better
there is also humor in body language and mistakes
Deadpool in full suit moves like a cartoon, like when he discoverd Francis escaped the highway, looks back and front is just you can see what he is thinking. with mistakes is when he was about make an awesome entrance he realised he forgot the bag with weapons.
Jennifer is written a bully. Just that.. That's it.. who likes bullies?
there are actually some bullies that are likable, the difference is that those bullies are more than just bullies
Captain America doesn't like bullies. He doesn't care where they're from.
Not me
Agent Venom or Flash Thompson was a bully. But he has a very good character development and I love him as a character.
1:36 as a person who is ADHD, I burst out laughing when i watched this scene.😂
Wait she was supposed to be funny 🤨😬
Yes? 😅
Exactly, I thought that too
@@maharghjoshi228 I made the same comment as you did😂 I didn’t know she was supposed to be, maybe I’m missing something here. I thought She-Hulk wasn’t too bad, people just had too many expectations. It at least gave me some content to pass time by. Lol
Shit was worse than a Amy Schumer stand up😂
The writers forgot the comedy part and just did the drama stuff.
1:04 Deadpool is "sexiest man alive" in titles
They’re not wrong though
they already did the 'i have a tougher life than you' in deadpool, and it was god damn hilarious.
i could absolutely see deadpool doing a joke like that with bruce.
she hulk was written by people who were so far up their own asses you could call them a reverse ouroboros
One of the main problems is that she-hulk's every character is a yes man/women or has very little place in the story. Deadpool 1 had edgy Francis and righteous Colossus, Deadpool 2 also had Colossus, serious trauma driven Cable and bratty Firefist, Deadpool 3 had serious and depressed Wolverine. He had people in opposition to his humor to bounce off.
I like how ur commentary really is unbiased and I leaned stuff from it
From what i remember, she-hulk mocking its viewers. While deadpool mocking themselves
I want Deadpool in the final avengers film *hopefully secret wars* and he breaks the fourth wall and says " we're done! For real this time!! Have some integrity Disney! Stop milking it!!! Stories should have a nice climax move on!!!! "
3:09 is he from the boys
If your talking about the guy in the white shirt, then yeah he looks like Alastair from the boys
@@polyesh yep
Deadpool doesn't say STDs caused his ADHD, he says his STDs were likely caused from ADHD lol
lol i remember all those people that liked she hulk defending it when people were doing this comparison on twitter
twitter crazy
"AcTuAlLy iT's CaLlEd X." ☝🤓
One thing about She Hulk that nobody talks about is the “evil” group at the end of the show. And guess what the group was made of, men who are dumb, weak, and rude. For people who don’t know, this is most likely meant to make fun of the people who didn’t like the changes to Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars. By calling those people dumb, rude, and sexist, which actually what The Marvels director call her audience for not liking The Marvels.
Look. This is how it is. Deadpool talks to the audience. She-Hulk talks *DOWN* to the audience.
1:40 No he didn't say the STDs could have caused ADHD. In fact that's not how it works. No he said his potential ADHD could have caused him to get the very STDs that he does know about. ADHD can cause for you to get STDs because ADHD influences your actions. What actions? The actions that caused him to get STDs.
9:57. I respectfully disagree. That was an accidentally good use of fourth wall breaking, but not in line with the She-Hulk show nor the character of Jen Walters.
Honestly, I have a feeling if she hulk were more empathetic with a bit of humor, she'd be more likeable.
But atleast her show is better than the entirety of velma and the cats movie nobody watched.
Fanatics make crap that fulfills their fanaticism. It doesn't matter if you are a sexist or a feminist if all you do is try to pound your fanaticism into people's heads.
That said? I liked both. Both entertained me, so yes, that is BAD, WRONG AND EVIL!
*shrug* I was entertained, so I couldn't care less what other people say
the only thing that would make me watch she hulk is velma
The joke about there only being one Blade is looking even funnier now that the reboot is apparently facing production trouble
Is this related to @criticascronicas ?
Fun Fact... She-Hulk broke the 4 wall before Deadpool in the comics! I'M NOT SAYING SHE'S BETTER THAN DEADPOOL BECAUSE NOT EVEN IN THE COMICS.
