Philip you have a great weekend also. My weekend plan is tomorrow I will complete the front wheel well ospho the complete bottom. Sunday will be two coats of por 15. I’m getting excited to get at the body work.
Hi Dave another great video looks like your nearly complete the wealding on the body I've got about 2 days left on mine my next biggest job will be the door hinge pins have you got any easy tips on how to remove them 😊
I do believe I completed the welding on the body today. I just cleaned and osphmoed the complete underneath. Tomorrow pot 15. I do have an older video on door hinges. I never replaced a pin . I believe it’s much easier and better to change the entire hinge. You just have to drill out three rivets on the door side. Tap the new hinge with the same size tape as the door bolts. And use them instead of rivets. Some time you go through a ton of work to get the pin out. Then maybe you need an oversized pin, if so then you need a reamer, who makes the hole oversize in the long run. After all that work you could still end up with a crappy door hinge with a new hinge. It’s like factory. It’s also easier to line back up when you reinstalled the door. It’s really not that hard. Check out my earlier video. Good luck with it no matter how you go. Don’t forget. Enjoy your project. Have a good night, buddy.
@busterstravels1534 Hi Dave, yeah I think I will look at your Erlier video and then make my mind up it does sound easier as you say to replace them once it comes down to cost But thanks for the information anyway looking forward to your next video already and yes I'm enjoying my shelf working on the car
Hi Guy. Just an idea for you in tools, I see you use an air operated die grinder. have you thought about an electric die grinder ? Harbor Freight has them on sale all the time. I have my for about 6 years now and believe me it saves a ton on the electric bill because I don't run the air compressor all the time. Just a thought.
Great video Dave! Another step closer!
Feels good, I believe today I finished the welding on the body. Yahoooo!
Great job 👍👍👍
Moving forward…
Great Job, Dave! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!
