Hello Keith, thanks it’s nice to move ahead. Yes, these types of repairs come with a little anxiety. This frame is rough, stay tuned much more rust repair to go! Ty buddy.
How did you determine that the passenger side horn was low and the driver's side wasn't high? Also what do you use for flapper discs? Thanks for your videos. I'm enjoying all the metalwork.
Hello Peggy, when I bought the 72 sb I wanted to see if I could get it running. First thing I did was take the driver side plugs out. It was tight but just like any other bug, no problem taking them out. When I went to the passenger side the plugs were almost impossible to take out because the engine was setting lower and the shelf next to the engine was partially blocking the plug holes. I hope that answers your question. As far as the flapper discs, I use what I can get deals on. I’ve ordered different ones line. Harbor freight. About 3 weeks ago harbor had a clearance different grits were 4.99 each, reduced to 1.99 each. There was 33 of them and I bought them all. Surprisingly they are longer lasting than what I was using. Thank you for your questions and support. I appreciate the comments. Have a great new year!
Hi Dave, I’ve been offline for 3 weeks due to someone burning through some cables a few miles away and they needed to close a main road to fix it. Apparently catching up on your channel was not a sufficient reason for them to work over Christmas and New Year 🤷🏼♂️ All up and running as of an hour ago so I have some catching up to do 🤣 The crap you got out of them horns should add at least 10mph to your top speed😂 Where does all that crap come from 🤷🏼♂️
Is it possible to clean out the frame horns by just removing the bolt to the tranny mount? Cutting the horns in half blew my mine. They can't grow back, lol.
Ha! I agree! The tunnel bottom cover and frame head are shot also. I enjoy bringing things back but I came close to scraping this one. ( everything is fixable) well almost. 👍🤓
Nice job repairing those frame horns. They were in rough condition.
Yep, thanks buddy. I still have to repair bottoms. Lots of measurements and leveling. Ha! You think they were rough wait till you see the rest. lol!
Looks great David and I bet they're nice and strong good job💪👍
Oh yeah, when I do the bottoms I have a reinforcement plan just incase I adapt it to take a Chevy LS. Lol!
Hi Dave looking good bet that was a lot harder than you first thought but it's looking like you solved it 😊nice to see you back after Christmas

Good call on the "good" frame horn!
They looked like dirt burritos. Previous owners must of lived on a dirt road. Both ends of this chassis are very rough. 👍
Great job Dave !!!
Little bit at a time. 👍🤓
Gorgeous!
Ty TrixedOut, I’m very happy with the progress. Ty

Ha! I kinda think this chassis was pulled out of a lake somewhere. I’m enjoying the challenge. Have a great new year. 👍🤓

I never check though the horn bolts, ha! I like to go right to the root of the problem. Lol
Wow I can't believe the crap that was in that frame.
