Absolutely not worth the price. Toyota is off their rocker with their new vehicle prices now. At about $65K+ not including tax and interest paid on the loan, a person should be making at least $150k to comfortably afford a vehicle of this price.
Making 150k depending on the state you live in and buying this is considered the most stupid financial decision you can make. We are talking about single income, household income would get you a -25K car. 150k in Louisiana? Maybe
wow Badd Ass! Love my off road but waiting on the 4Runner TRD Pro next year! Great Video! Dude can drive! Congrats! Saw of video earlier of a Tacoma off road vs Bison vs Raptor on a course doing 5 mph and they proclaimed the bison the best! Can't wait to see the Pro vs Bison Vs Raptor.
Toyota could have done a better job creating rear seating space by focusing on high performance front seats from a third party that are slimmer than these over the top hammock seats. They might be nice but 99% of the people will not use them as intended. Slimmer front seats would help create additional rear seating space. Even if humans don't ride in the rear seats often, many Tacoma owners have their dog in the rear seats and they use the foot-well to climb in.
Imagine getting into one of these for a bit, then climbing back into a 92 4runner.... holy night and day, but oddly, you still know your in a toyota somehow. Toyota is toyota.
Raptor, it should be sacrilegious to put anything less than a V6 in a truck regardless of it being midsize or fullsize. These 4cyl trucks barely have more torque than my 2.0 4cyl Golf R
its honestly only americans that have this concern, cuz of your obsession with big engines, the toyota hilux is renowned around the world for being one of the most durable cars ever made let alone toyotas and they've had 4 cyl turbos forever
so if the driving modes don't affect the suspension, what do the modes do? sport mode, sand mode, snow, terrain, etc did you also drive the trailhunter? what did you think of that one?
This is a nightmare video for me as I could not imagine taking my Tacoma/4Runner on trails like this. I would be afraid to step out of the vehicle to inspect the damage. I have to say the Ranger Raptor appeared to ride better, sound better, and priced better on similar trails.
not a fan of those seats - why not just engineer better suspension with 3.0 inch FOX Factory Race shocks so everyone can ride comfy?? also the truck is vibrating like hell...
What a rip off. I am a Toyota family but the price of this truck is just insane. It looks cool and has some nice features, but that MSRP is out of touch.
The trail after the ‘jump’ looked ROUGH! Hard to tell in the video but I suspect my 2nd gen raptor would’ve just floated over that with 80% less in cabin fatigue. Excited to hear your thoughts on this vs your ranger raptor. Perhaps I’m not to that point of the video yet
I wish these were made in Japan. Toyotas that are made in Canada and Mexico are shit. I went from a Japanese made Toyota to one made in Canada and it’s such trash.

Always impressed with Tophers driving ability and detailed overview. Not many can be good at reviewing the car and push it the limit simultaneously.
Beautiful truck. A shame it’s so expensive
Chris, The way those 'Iso' seats rob rear seat leg room should inspire Toyota to build a 2 door Tacoma TRD Pro.
They come in handy at the Whole Foods parking lot.
We barely got room on 3rd gen one step forward two steps back
@@Thomas54965 Interior room is not a Toyota priority these days.

I'm down for it 😂💯🤙🏽
I call dibs on being the second student.
Congratulations on your second child! Topher ❤
Great job on that runway!!! Looks so fun man!! I love this shit!!

Toyota meat glazers will defend the price
Speaking of $150k, that’s the going price for a new ford raptor v8 🙃. I saw it on the lot, with my own eyes.
@@JRuddthat pricing is MAD!
I'm from the Philippines wherein luxury cars have a 100% tax
And I still find a 150k USD Raptor overpriced!!!!
if you’re not for TRD Pro, Tacome still have 38k MSRP and that’s pretty decent already
These are sitting on the lots collecting pollen in MA. Ive only seen one on the road.
Well that's not true....
@thetopher How do you compare the ride to your Ranger Raptor?
Wow, that thing is loud at idle. Quiet engines are apparently impossible to make
Great review!
Living vicariously through you Topher for now, #48 on my dealer list 😅
Nothing angers me more than seeing the amount of space from the back seat to the drivers seat.
Love your videos man
OMG the chimes! I got rid of those in my 2024 Off Road...

yes do the comparison - off road and on road
So what would you rather have, this or your Ranger Raptor?
Colorado ZR2 Bison 🗿

Ranger Raptor for the win.
Raptor, it should be sacrilegious to put anything less than a V6 in a truck regardless of it being midsize or fullsize. These 4cyl trucks barely have more torque than my 2.0 4cyl Golf R
Comparing the two would you rather the trd pro or the trail hunter?
How does it compare to your Raptor ?
I’ll do a comparison once I’ve spent some more time in it, but on first impressions raptor is the king of the midsize segment.
I can't wait to see if this inline 4 is as reliable as the v6. Suspicious since its turbocharged, but hopes to Toyota delivering!
All in the name of the CAFE standards
Almost zero chance

Hey the Topher, you should drive a 3rd gen 4runner sport.
so if the driving modes don't affect the suspension, what do the modes do? sport mode, sand mode, snow, terrain, etc
did you also drive the trailhunter? what did you think of that one?
My guess would be throttle and diff. mapping for traction
@thetopher sooooo between this and the Ford Ranger Raptor which truck would you take?
Nice truck but too expensive.

I am still gonna buy it but will wait until the 25. I don’t like the 24 colors and I don’t haul people in the back so I am okay with the back seats.
Is this truck use 91 gas?
Nope, 87
Nice civic!
Goddamn that sounds like shit, ugh good grief that’s 150 rubber hoses
Thank god you got there in enough time
I want this thing so bad BUT MAN those back seats are really making me question it
what you planning do back in the back seats ?
@@More_Row Having people taller than 5' lol, but even just from a practicality standpoint,
I would pay $55k for the new pro, but not $65k 😳
Can you review Toyota urban cruiser?
❤❤
Id rip that engine off and replace it with 1GD FTV
meh. a Ranger raptor destroys this
For that price and that new of a car, it sure has a lot of plastic rattles.
4 danger nah
Too much hard plastic for me 😂
1:35 I cringed at that weak ahh rev 💀
All the poors complaining about the price. I’ll be flexing on you at the mall sipping Starbucks. Laughing in my squeaky clean trail hunter.
What a cool guy
Who knew a Tacoma TRD Pro or Trailhunter would be a flex someday but it looks that way!

I feel like he didn’t want to talk about that because of the Toyota employee with him
