    So like most drummers I have the problem of finding the time to practice during hours that wont bother my neighbors. That led me to looking into silent cymbals, and again like most drummers, I was shocked by the price. Something that is supposed to be a practice tool, shouldn't cost the same amount as professional tool used in a live or recording setting. That is when I found Vansir Cymbal Company. Through them and their contact in the US through "Percussion Exchange", I was able to get a brand new 7 piece cymbal set, in my chosen color scheme, for less than the price of a Zildjian or Sabian silent cymbal. If you are like me and don't want your neighbors to hate you, or even if you are a drummer that lives in an apartment then you NEED to check out these cymbals.

    Great review, I've been looking at similar cymbals but have been feeling a little apprehensive. Now that I know vansir is closer to satisfaction I'll be taking a closer look at opting for a set like yours. 👍🏻
    Also, excellent review on Precussion Exchange In Portland! Lots of amazing people and talented musicians especially in that area, no surprise to hear about your high quality experience with a local business, such as them in particular, for that matter. 👌🏻✨️
    Thx for the review homie ☯️🙏

      Thanks for your kind words and im glad you got some value out of this! Heads up I dont think Percussion Exchange is distributing them anymore so you will have to find another, but as far as I have seen these are still sold and are still a viable option. Luckily Alibaba reps work with distributors in the US so this shouldn't be as much of an issue. Good luck and I hope this helps!

    Hey, How are these holding up? I was in the market for some silent cymbals. Arborea, Musico and now Vansir. Would you recommend these cymbals over the rest? Also, how's the overtones, not to bright?

      @soundplayonline  Рік тому +2

      Hey sorry it took a bit to get back to you, but yes they are a bit brighter, however compared to the other off brand variants these are still holding up great, they can take a pounding, and they don't sound bad. They are such a great deal for the money and honestly unless you are going to spend more on the zildjian ones, I can't recommend these enough. Plus they make custom sizes and variances for you.

    I have a similar set of cymbals, sound is the same, low volume as I need, but too bright... Been trying some taping and hacks to make them not hurting my ears so much, but no luck yet

      Well on one hand you are right, these are definitely brighter than the sabian and zildjian variant. However like I said previously it was my mistake to use the camera mic to record any sound coming from these. They're actually not AS bright. The mic just picks up those sounds a lot more. Also these are still pretty quiet in comparison. So much so in fact that I recently was playing around with stacking these and some of my other cymbals and I added a 10in ZHT splash that I had lying around from back in the day and it was SO MUCH LOUDER than the silent cymbals that I had to tape it. Ultimately it sounds good when stacked with my 8in silent splash I ordered from this set.

    Can they custom make anything bigger than 20 inch?

      Hey sorry for some reason UA-cam didn't notify me and hid comments from my dashboard. To answer your question I wouldn't be surprised if they could. Honest to god they made half of the cymbals I got custom to order by my request.

    What are these cymbals made of?

    • @soundplayonline
      @soundplayonline  8 місяців тому

      They are on Amazon now and they say they are stainless steel. It's been a while but I believe I said in the video that they aren't necessarily AS quiet as Zildjians models but honestly for the price you can't beat it. They are definitely A LOT brighter which means that there is an overall wider sound for your ears to hear, but they don't sound bad and they sit in my garage and give me the realistic feeling that Iook for

      @soundplayonline  8 місяців тому +2

      Also here's a link to the amazon page. The cheapest one which is just color difference still comes with 14' hihats, 2 crashes 16' & 18', and a 20' ride for $79.99. You just CANNOT beat that especially if you are just trying to practice.

      @@soundplayonline I live in EU and the best option here from my research the best deal is to order directly from China. I want them for apartment drumming to compliment my electronic drumset and I'm a bit worried about the attack noise on them but with a bit of extra muffling and a platform it shooould be fine. Thanks for the video and reply

      @soundplayonline  6 місяців тому

      @@user-rx7er3rb6c so recently I tested out adding some fuffling to them and it REALLY helped with the attack. Again if you want a real feeling cymbal you just can't beat these for the price.

    Why don't you use mesh heads 😔 😕 😒 🙄 😑 😪 😔

    • @soundplayonline
      @soundplayonline  Рік тому +1

      Hey thats actually a great question. I used to work at a Sam Ash Music Mega Store when I was younger and there was a time where I was only playing on the mesh heads of the electronic kits and not my real one. I learned really quickly after finally getting my real kit set back up that not only do those mesh heads not feel natural, but they actually make you lose your ability to compensate for lack of bounce over time. Since then, even on my TD9 kit I never use full mesh heads. In this case I use old practice pads which work fine and also give different pitches.

    • @Cloud_Strife_19

      Any tips on making mesh heads feels like a real drum head?

    • @soundplayonline
      @soundplayonline  8 місяців тому

      @@Cloud_Strife_19 hey sorry just seeing this! Honestly no. Your best bet is if you are doing something similar to what I'm doing then find some cheap and used practice pads. That's your best bet.
      If you have an electronic kit, I again would recommend using fb marketplace, or ebay, or whatever, but find roland rubber pads if possible. I love em and it really helps me. I went and recorded a metal album not too long ago and honestly I just mostly practiced on my td9. The transfer over to my real kit wasn't as bad as I thought it would be AT ALL.
