Yesterday I had my group Interview with SkyWest. This video helped me so much, I had my 60 sec spill ready but I did get nervous. Everything went well, I was able to get a F2F interview and I was myself. I really appreciate you making this video and helping us be prepared for this interview. Every interview is different obviously but all recruiters are looking for genuine people. I saw a man actually looking at this specific video before the interview process started. I love your videos.
thank you so much. Really very detailed and I am looking forward to my group interview. You are just how I will be Positive, Focused, Real and always smiling. Enjoy your weekend!!!
I was super nervous preparing for the group interview event with SkyWest, but your video was super helpful and calmed my nerves a lot! I had a great experience at the group interview and waiting to hear back from the recruiters soon. Hoping to see you in the skies one day!
Thank you so much for this video! I love it! I will be going for their interview in a couple of days here and you posted this right in time! ❤️ I wish you luck on whatever path you take upon! You're such a sweet person so I know you'll do great! 🙏😄
Thank you so much for this video! I have an interview for SkyWest coming up this week and an interview with another airline toward the end of the month. This video really helped me feel more prepared for what will be expected.
I attended a group session for SkyWest this past Thursday. About 43 people attended, and 8 people left before the 60 second presentations. Long story short, I was not among the chosen for the third round, but that's OK :) I'll try again in 90 days.. unless.. I don't get hired by another airline by that time :)
Great info!!! Wish I had seen your video before my recruit event with them last month 😂, but everything happens for a reason. Learned from it, got invitations to 2 F2F, a virtual, and got a CJO exactly a month later with another airline.
Your awesome personality shone so much through this extremely helpful video! I’m happy for you that you got hired! :) best of luck to you in the rest of your adventures as a flight attendant!
I’ve thought my whole life that this would be the job for me. You’ve finally given me the courage to say “screw it” I am able to prepare myself and go get this job! Thanks! Cheers! -Chris
Thank you so much for the video. So much good information. I just received an invite for an on demand information session. I was wondering if it is a video interview or will I have to record my answers or is it just a fill in the blank type of thing. I do not want to start this thing and I’m not dressed properly. I look forward to your response
I got mine the next day but like minutes after I receive my CJO, I sent the email back saying I accept. So since I responded so quickly it might have something to do with how quickly I got the packet.
Natasha B. last question lol. so i got my packet today. for the entrance exam are we quizzed on the “clothing” section ? or just the other main sections
Thank you for this video have a group interview with Skywest tomorrow and look forward to using your helpful tips during the interview ! Congrats on your CJO ! , but if I could give any advice if you do get a CJO from any mainline carrier I would strongly recommend you choose them because of benefits/pay for doing the same work as these regional carriers :) If not I might see you on a Skywest flight !
You’re welcome! Glad to help. Yes I know of the benefits and pay but it’s usually easier to get on with regional than mainline. I personally took the regional company that offered a CJO first. However I had been applying to mainline. It just takes forever.
Hi! I’m just curious how you chose which airline you were going to apply for? Why is it based mostly on location, pay, or something else? I’m about to start applying and would appreciate any help. I really love this video it was super informative, thank you for taking the time to share!!! 💕💕
Hey natasha I just did the application and I’m in Atlanta and I’m going to the Nashville recruitment location at well wish me luck 🤞🏾 any further tips even tho the video is very detailed.
I received a cjo from Skywest but declined. It was my fault honestly I didn’t really look into all the destinations until I was on my way to the interview. Once I realized they didn’t fly outside North America I declined. Fingers crossed for American Airlines!! I got my f2f!!
I have a tatoo on my left foot (only one) and I'm 5"11 about easily 6" in heels for sure should I even bother I think i would interview well but I don't want drive all that way to be turned around at the door??
There was a girl in my interview that had a thigh tattoo. I believe she said she was told at the interview she could wear black tights to cover it and she’ll be fine. I would do that. That’s what a lot of us wear on line anyway, the black out tights. They’re thick, comfortable and last long. So definitely still go. If you need recommendations on tights, I show them in my mainline interview video.
Super helpful info sis! So I have a tattoo from above my elbow up to my upper right arm where it will be covered in the uniform... What should I say when they ask if I have any tattoos?
I know people with same kind of tattoo and made it through training just fine. They just had to be sure it wasn’t seen. I always say be honest but I don’t think it will be an issue since it’s covered by uniform.
Natasha B. Thank you! Are their FA uniforms long and short sleeves and the ones you have to wear a blazer? Do they have you pick your choice of uniform?
Hey Natasha, you were very informative and this video helped me a lot. Would you be able to let me know how long after the interview you received your CJO and did they drug test you the same day or did you have the choice of getting it done on your own time before training? Im going to a recruitment event here in NYC on November 7th and I fly out the next day for frontier airline interview which is on the 9th. sorry for all these questions!! I'm just extremely excited and nervous at the same time
I received it exactly 2 weeks after my interview. The drug test was given sometime before training. Good luck with both interviews. Be confident, smile and show your personality. I’m sure you’ll do great! 😘
Natasha B. Oh ok.... thanks Natasha but at this point I'm wondering if I should even go because I have to misdemeanor offenses on my record one was from 13 years ago and the other one was 8 years ago do you think I should go to the group interview?
Personally I would still go and go through with everything and let the company come to you and tell you it’s a problem. If they never say anything than leave the past in the past. So if you have a job now, ask to take a leave of absence if you make it to training. This way if something happens while at training you still have a job to go home to.
Hey Natasha, thanks for making these videos! Trying to gain a little bit of insight about Skywest. From what I’ve been reading about many airlines, they choose what city you get assigned to. But from Skywest, I hear you get some kind of choice? Thanks for the info. I have my SkyWest interview this Thursday.
Hi hun. You kinda have an option. They tell you to order the bases in order from the most desired to the least desired. That’s the closest thing to an option you get. However you may or may not get your choice because ultimately it based on operational need. That’s all airlines, the base you’re assigned when hired is assigned based on operational need.
Your so cute! Great information! I’m going tomorrow to open event and this really helped me calm my nerves! Do you have to get up in front of the whole room to do that 60 second? I’m nervous about that part 🙀
Yes you do stand in front of the room. Trust me everyone is nervous. Just practice your speech in the mirror several times to help you remember what to say.
I was in a group interview where there were two current flight attendants and they mentioned it in their 60 seconds and both got a 1 on 1. I think it's all in how you present it and what you say in addition to it.
Maybe but the people in my interview that mentioned it didn’t get a 1 on 1 and I know that’s usually pretty common so I say put it on your resume but don’t ramble about it in the interview. Most people don’t know how to only mention what’s needed and tend to speak on their old company more than need be.
That's so true. It's better to not take the risk. Kinda like with wearing a scarf, where some people can pull it off but most don't so it's better to be safe than sorry.
Exactly!! That’s why when I made this video I wanted to mention things people should avoid. Better to be safe than sorry. I want everyone to get their CJOs.
I’m a gate agent for United Airlines and been with them for 4 years now but would totally love to give Skywest a try. Question is I don’t have a passport I’m currently working on becoming a US citizen. Do I need my passport before I apply?
Hey love I’m from California and this will be my 3nd time applying. Everything you said is absolutely true. the second time I got the face to face interview but didn’t get to continue on. Thank you for your video it help me rewrite my speech. I rewrote it 17 times in the pass 3 weeks. I pray I get it this time. Thanks so much again. Hope to meet you soon
Hi I have a question does it really take 3 weeks to hear back from them? Or is it usually before that??? Do you remember when you heard back from them saying you got your CJO?
Just wondering cause I plan to sit in the front row. when you did the 60 second spiel do they make you stand and face everyone or did you just face the recruiters. assuming the lay out it with all the chairs in a row like at the end. Thanks in advance anyone who replies :)
Congrats on your CJo! I am going to group interview November 7th in NY *fingers crossed* I know the time varies, but about what time did you get out of there? I’m asking to see which train ticket to book for my return back to Philly. I know they said these GI can last 6 hours
Also How is delta American Alaska and united express have deals with Skywest. Do you also do flights for these companies I don’t want to talk I’m nterview for pay. If you are delayed outside your domicile do you get paid the entire time. Away like every hour because that can possibly add up especially winter. Thx for sharing your knowledge
Yes I do. If you are on duty and not inflight you are getting paid per diem no matter where you are. If the main cabin door is closed you start getting paid hourly.
Thanks for the video, I have been thinking of a career change. As far as tattoo's, where people turned away because the interviews turn them away because of the placement, or because they walked out? Is the uniform design to cover arm tattoo's like a full length shirt?
A little of both. Some left on their own because of tattoos and some asked the recruiters if the tattoos were ok and if they weren’t then they left. There are long sleeve options for the uniform but the tattoos still can’t be in places the company doesn’t allow even if it is covered.
@@Iamnatashab Thanks for the response love. Dang that's crazy...well I guess I have to look at different airlines to see what their policy is. I'm a nurse and I wear them freely. Different strokes for different folks 😉
Hi miss so I’m in LAX for group interview today. I’m at the location it’s 12 so I’m hapiky early. So I can get my mind right prep Doing more research. Question if you don’t mind. Are you full time or part time if part time how long does it take to go full time. I see that full time eligible employees get free health benefits. Does part time get company benefits at a cost ex health 401k etc Last. I see Chicago Minneapolis Detroit Denver SLC are the busiest Airports. Is it likely to go to a busy location. I like the hotel crash pad
I’m full time. It takes time to go part time with this company. Idk where you got free health benefits because we definitely pay for our health benefits. I don’t know anything about being part time. You will likely get sent to a junior base. All those you listed except SLC and Den are junior.
I’m planning on going to a group interview tomorrow, I have a small tattoo on the inside of my ankle I assumed i could just wear dark sheers under a skirt or pants instead do you think it would be a deal breaker for me getting this job?
I’ve seen people have them but they always where black stockings to keep it covered. I’m not sure if it’s a deal breaker or not though. You can always ask the recruiters at your event however they’ll mention the places you can’t have them. Ask questions after that if you still are unsure.
Hi Natasha! I loved watching your video, it's really helpful. Listening to your video and reading their guidelines, i'm super concerned about my tattoos. Obviously most people say you get turned away or dismissed if they find out you have tattoos in "visible spots". I know they say you can't use concealer or bandages but some people just say to lie about it and hope they don't find out. Im not the type of person to lie about things like that, especially when it comes to a job. I have a neck tattoo and a wrist tattoo and i'm supposed to be going to a group interview pretty soon. Is it even worth it to go to the interview if i'm just going to get turned away?
Heyyy! Thanks for watching! Honestly this is a personal preference whether you lie or not because at the end of the day you are the only one that deals with the consequences of your actions. I will say this, If caught lying with skywest they will dismiss you and you can’t return or apply again. They told us several times in training that they are not a second chance company. So do as you please with the information but what you can do is go to the open event and be honest with them and let them tell you yes or no. That way you know you at least tried and have a solid yes or no instead of listening to us on UA-cam. As long as you don’t get to training trying to hide tattoos and they find it, you can return again. Two other options are to get it removed if they turn you around at the interview or try to apply to companies that will allow you to cover tattoos with make up.
Hey. I would redo this video because I used to work for them and they have a very strict SM policy. It will be a matter of time before this video is brought up with higher ups. Please be very careful, as OO does not have a union. And congrats, have fun
Thank you but I’m aware of the strict policy. I’ve said nothing confidential. This video was posted before I was hired and everything stated is public information.
Hello! I am thinking about applying to Skywest and wanted to know some additional information about non-rev travel benefits. What carriers does Skywest have non-rev agreements with? Does a FA's ability to non-rev on a carrier depend on whether or not they work that carrier? Or are they eligible to non-rev on all carriers with Skywest agreements? How does the priority differ between carriers? Are Skywest employees below all mainline/ wholly owned employees? Are their additional fees, other than standard ones for mainlane/wholly-owned employees, that are associated with Skywest employees? Thank you so much for your help!
They have them with Delta, United, American, and Alaska. Yes, they can non-rev for the company on either of the partners but benefits wise, you automatically get delta and united but the other two you get only if you’re based at a base where those partners flight into. If the flight is operated by Skywest we get priority but if not then mainline employees get priority over us.
From what I understand delta is free domestically and taxes are paid international. I can’t remember the others. I’m still in training and haven’t really looked into detail with the benefits. I’m also not sure about other regional carriers and our agreements. Sometime after training I’ll have time to thoroughly go through them.
How long is probation? While on probation and on reserve, are you allowed to go home on your off days and can you pass ride on any of the airlines or use the jumpsuit?
Probation is a year. You can go home sometimes but we’re not allowed to commute while on probation. We can pass ride on many airlines and we can only use the jump seat on our aircraft.
HI THANKS FOR THE POINTERS NATASHA B IM OFF TO MY SKYWEST INTERVIEW SEPTEMBER 11TH IN DALLAS TX!! CURRENTLY WORK HER IN SHREVEPORT LOUISIANA AT UNITED AIRLINES CS REP / RAMP AGENT AND HAVE TONS OF AIRLINES SAFETY TIPS TO SHARE AT INTERVIEW ! I HAVE TOOK NOTE OF YOUR INTERVIEW POINTERS AND BELIEVE I GOT THIS THING! I AM GOING TO THE DALLAS FORTH WORTH TEXAS RECRUITMENT EVENT !! THANK SO SO MUCHCHRIS JONES
Thank you so much for this, it was incredibly informative! How long after the open house did you receive your CJO? I had read that it can take several weeks and I'm just curious. Attending an open house next week :)
Apologies, I’m curious. When they test you after the CJO, do they tell you to go to a lab for it, or do they test you upon arrival at training? Thank you in advance Natasha.
Hi there...thank you so very much for this video. It really is informative and I can truly appreciate your experience. I wanted to ask you about how you went about introducing yourself and keeping it under 60 sec? I'm asking because I'm going to go to the event that will be here in ATL next Tue. I really do want to make an impression and have several years of Customer Service as well as Banking experience which I think is where I can pull in some of the Safety aspects. Congratulations on getting your CJO and I would appreciate any advice on how I can start off letting them know why "I'm a great fit" for Skywest. Thank you again for taking the time out to help others 😉🙏🏽✈️🛬 Anna
You’re welcome. I’m glad I could help. I honestly started off mentioning my name and how old I was then did exactly as I said in the video. Practice what you’re going to say in the mirror or with friends to be sure it isn’t over 60sec. Smile the entire time. Look professional and show confidence. Good luck with your interview!
thank you for doing this interview I have been pursing flight attendant jobs for almost 2 years now with no success just yet, but I have current pending applications with United, Delta, and Sky West I plan on attending the open recruitment event in Atlanta a week from today, although it's 5 hours away from me They had one in Ashville, NC yesterday, which is 3 hours and 50 minutes from me, but that date didn't work with my work schedule Do they do training year round....How long is the time gap between the recruitment event, and when training would begin, if selected for the position?
Hello, is the base you attend the interview at the base that they will assign you to if hired? Or is it still random? I’m thinking about going to one but I’m not sure if i should go to an open interview at a desired base, or just the one closest to me
Oh no they don’t have a base in Nashville where I interviewed. The base you are assigned is random. Just go to the interview nearest you. They conduct interviews all over to make it as convenient as possible for people all over to attend.
Hey girl. Just wanted to keep you posted. Tuesday will be 2 weeks to the day. Dying over here! Lol. Like I told you we went right into face-to-face interviews here in New York. Awaiting that cjo I'll keep you posted CU on the line hopefully. God bless Maurice
Hi i went to the open interviewer but they made it a f2f because it was not alot of people 5/5/19 They said it can be 2-3 weeks for response, do that sound good?
Hey, just came through ur channel and this helpful video. Plz let me know if you know how things have changed in hiring process during this time(pandemic). Thank you!
Hi Natasha thank you so much for this video, I have my interview for Skywest on Tuesday 6/5/2018 I’m nervous because I have tattoos, but they can be covered while in uniform with uniform clothing what was the reason people were getting turned away for tattoos and do you think I still have a shot I currently work for a company and I clean Skywest planes everyday. Please help me.
They were getting turned away because of where the tattoos were placed. Face, neck, wrist, back of the ears and neck you can’t have them. If removed, it must be completed removed or you will get denied either at the event or training. The tattoos elsewhere I believe are ok but can’t be shown. If you fit this criteria then you should be good. I wish you well at the interview! Good luck
Natasha B. Lol also I have Senegalese twists in my head that are really Long ..Do you think it will mess up my chance in the interview process ? I will pull them back but they are kind of too long to put in a bun . I was thinking of tucking them inside my blazer at the back so they won’t see the length lol
I brought 2 or 3. Just bring extra because you never know what could happen to one (something spills on it etc.) and I didn’t know if they were gonna need extra.
You’re out here giving actual gems😩🖤

I mentioned the questions in the video.
Did you get the job?
Yes I did but I’m not longer with them. I’m with a mainline company now.
Thank you so much for this video it helped me get my CJO!
Congratulations! I’m glad I could help!
This helped a lot, I got invited to the group interview in Romulus at DTW September 5th. Nervous but very excited.

You can get short or long sleeves. You get to choose with pieces you want.
@@Iamnatashab I watched all of your videos and it honestly calmed me down so much so thank YOU for helping us all out!! :)
You’re so welcome. People like you are who I do this for! Thanks so much for watching. It means a lot. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
@natashab.5025 Natasha please reach out to me! I might be going to skywest tomorrow but I don't want to waste time+!
Hey girl! 👋🏾 it was a crazy beginning for sure! Lol but we made it through and got our CJO’s!
Yes we did! See you in training!
What is a cjo?
My group interview is in 4 days!!
Conditional job offer
Natasha B.
Oh ok.... thanks Natasha but at this point I'm wondering if I should even go because I have to misdemeanor offenses on my record one was from 13 years ago and the other one was 8 years ago do you think I should go to the group interview?
Thank you!!
Will definitely be going through your videos before the interview, thanks (:
No problem. Good luck and keep me posted on your journey!
Yes you need a passport.
Glad to help. Hope to meet you as well. Don’t be a stranger!
Hi I have a question does it really take 3 weeks to hear back from them? Or is it usually before that??? Do you remember when you heard back from them saying you got your CJO?
It was exactly 2 weeks.
Going to my f2f today! Thanks for the tips! 😁🤞🏾
No problem. Good luck!
What was the policy for the tattoos ? Because i have a cross on my wrist and also a quote in my inner arm . Are they that strict on it ?
The wrist they are but the arm tattoo will be fine you’ll just have to wear long sleeve shirts all the time, even on the line.
Natasha B.
Okay so I’d really be wasting my time huh 😭🤦🏾♀️
Thank you so much I’m so nervous I have my interview in Houston July 17th I really hope it get it
I’m sure you will. Be confident and ready for that 60 second spill. Good luck!
This was so helpful. Thank you
Just wondering cause I plan to sit in the front row. when you did the 60 second spiel do they make you stand and face everyone or did you just face the recruiters. assuming the lay out it with all the chairs in a row like at the end. Thanks in advance anyone who replies :)
You stand and face everyone.
Congrats on your CJo! I am going to group interview November 7th in NY *fingers crossed* I know the time varies, but about what time did you get out of there? I’m asking to see which train ticket to book for my return back to Philly. I know they said these GI can last 6 hours
They last a while but I left around 1030/1045 that night. I was 2nd to last to be interviewed
Natasha B. Okk thank you
Np
I have 2 tattoos one on my upper arm small (hidden by elbow length sleeves) and one on my ribs. Is that an issue?
No.
Also How is delta American Alaska and united express have deals with Skywest. Do you also do flights for these companies
I don’t want to talk I’m nterview for pay.
Thank you, your video was very helpful
Thank you. Glad I could help.
Omg! Your from my state. Hopefully i get in. I'm going to apply in birmingham this 26th.
Good luck!
Hopefully i readied myself already.
I’m sure you did!
I got an on demand interview along with an in person interview, but the question is what is an on demand interview.
Very true but yes look closely into the tattoo policy. I’m Glad I could help!
I have a small tattoo on my leg, can I wear long pants and will that be an area that I can “cover”?
I’m not sure but I don’t see why dark tights would be a problem. That’s all I really wear.
Does part time get company benefits at a cost ex health 401k etc
Last.
You know you know lol… Your video experience was nice!
I have a question . I got selected for an interview but what if I chosen and I can't start right away
They will put you in the next class. Just explain the situation and they will work with you.

I just decided to apply as I moved from Jamaica to the US but they won’t allow me to add my previous employer for my country 😭
Oh wow I never heard of that.
We have Parishes in the country not state and their system don’t allow me to select country for employment history
I would contact the company about that.
I received my CJO exactly 2 weeks after the interview.
Do you recommend going to the group interview if you don’t have your passport already , but have applied ?
Yes I do!
Which airline did you end up choosing? I'm going to the SkyWest group interview in June!
I’m in the middle of editing my next video about which one I chose. Good luck on your interview. Let me know when you get your CJO!
hey Natasha thanks for this video just one question. At the open recruitment event do they drug test? that same day?
No. You only have to do a drug test once you get a CJO from the company.
Apologies, I’m curious. When they test you after the CJO, do they tell you to go to a lab for it, or do they test you upon arrival at training? Thank you in advance Natasha.
They have you choose a lab nearest you to go to.
Great content 👏🏼🙌🏼 not my airline but this is totally good information aka Nutrients
Thank you!!
When are you going for your training Natasha? Good luck!
Training starts May 30th and thank you.
Natasha B. Oh my! Then I shall see you in Salt Lake city then!
See you soon!
Hi Natasha, nice video. Did you leave for training yet and if so will you upload videos of training soon?
Yes I’m currently at training. I have another video scheduled to post about my first week of training. Click the bell to get a notification.
EasyJet?? LOL slip of tongue I guess. Good luck with your FA career and hope it is a long one. Very nice video.
thank you for doing this interview I have been pursing flight attendant jobs for almost 2 years now with no success just yet, but I have current pending applications with United, Delta, and Sky West I plan on attending the open recruitment event in Atlanta a week from today, although it's 5 hours away from me They had one in Ashville, NC yesterday, which is 3 hours and 50 minutes from me, but that date didn't work with my work schedule Do they do training year round....How long is the time gap between the recruitment event, and when training would begin, if selected for the position?
Yes training is year round. The gap varies so there’s no set answer.

Hi girl I was wondering if you dont look good in red lipstick what other color can you wear? thanks
I would do a pretty nude or gloss. Good question.
Natasha B. Thank you!!
You’re welcome
Hey girl. Just wanted to keep you posted. Tuesday will be 2 weeks to the day. Dying over here! Lol. Like I told you we went right into face-to-face interviews here in New York. Awaiting that cjo I'll keep you posted CU on the line hopefully. God bless Maurice
Sounds good!!
Hi i went to the open interviewer but they made it a f2f because it was not alot of people 5/5/19
They said it can be 2-3 weeks for response, do that sound good?
Oh that’s great but Yes 2 weeks is normal.
@@Iamnatashab Thank you.
Hey, just came through ur channel and this helpful video. Plz let me know if you know how things have changed in hiring process during this time(pandemic).
Thank you!
Hello, unfortunately I don’t know of any changes.
Good luck
No problem.
My interview is this Thursday. I hope they have a lot of ppl who suck so I can get the job lol
😂😂 trust me they have room for all of you guys
Natasha B. Lol also I have Senegalese twists in my head that are really Long ..Do you think it will mess up my chance in the interview process ? I will pull them back but they are kind of too long to put in a bun . I was thinking of tucking them inside my blazer at the back so they won’t see the length lol
I will take them out if needed
How many resumes do you bring with you? Great video thank you!
I brought 2 or 3. Just bring extra because you never know what could happen to one (something spills on it etc.) and I didn’t know if they were gonna need extra.
@@Iamnatashab thank you!
Welcome

I believe 2 weeks exactly. Either this video or another video I posted kinda explained more.
did you get you CJO?
Hello Natasha! Are braids acceptable for this airline?
Hey girl! Yes they are.
