I am so very sorry that you were treated so badly during your IOE, the company should have placed you with another instructor, as a instructor myself I could NEVER EVER treat someone the way you were treated. Again I'm so sorry for this, and if drinking is so important to her then it sounds like she's got a problem.
@@lifeisgrandeso glad you are doing better. I had the same thing but in dental, and when that happened I had 15 years of experience. It was a new office that I started working at, the dentist didn’t have control of his staff, and they were always at each other’s throats. I left after a week; I found out later that , although the doctors were good paediatric surgeons, the staff was another story. I was kind of sad, because I’ve always liked working with Oral surgery. Found another office where I am happy at. 😊
It seems the instructor and the crew was not supportive AT ALL. I believe the coworkers really make or break a working environment. I wished that you would have requested to change your instructor and maybe you would have had a better experience. Mistakes are EXPECTED for your first day and they should know that. I feel like there needs to be a level of compassion for a career valuing service and safety. Thank you for sharing your experience.
Hi there…. I’m sorry to hear about your experience with Skywest! I’m in my 40s and have been wanting to do this… I found your first videos and watched you thru all your training. I’m hesitant After watching your IOE experience. Your IOE instructor was very unprofessional …I have a couple questions if you don’t mind answering…Do you feel that if you had been with another crew/had a different instructor that it would been better or do you feel this is a company wide mindset?
@@alanagreen7877 I’m glad that all my pain and suffering didn’t go to waste-if I helped solidify a decision that was probably already in your heart. I wish I would’ve listened to that voice in my head before I started it all.
We lost at least 20% and yes training is very demanding but with the right mindset and determination as well as following the rules- you can do it! Please see my training video

Thanks so much for your support and comments.
You need to report that lady, so that other new attendants don’t go through your horrible experience. That lady should not be teaching.
Skywest has heard all about it

I was going to go to the group interview today, but after watching all your videos this morning, I decided not to go!

@@lifeisgrande I still want to do it, but with another airline :). I also live in Utah :)
Was the training demanding ? Did they send anybody home?
