Thanks you so much on your video. I have a group interview in Los angels on June 5 and like you mention What's meant to be yours no one can take it away .God bless you
Hello I just want to say thank you for this video even tho it’s 4 years ago it was really helpful. I normally do my research prep myself for a interview and boom once I reach there my anxiety kicks in 😫😫 but you really made it simple base on your experience and happy 42 birthday if I am correct 👍🏽
I truly thank you for your candidness about your experience, i loved your energy and your positive vibes. I will keep you posted with my journey God bless you continue to take care
I got a CJO from SkyWest! I was nervous when I went to the interviews too, but they skipped the 60 second presentations and we all got F2F’s. It was cold as hell that day I went December 18th. Great bunch of people too :)
When I got my CJO for Skywest almost 2 years ago, it came 10 days after the interview. It’s an awesome company to work for. But one thing you should know is that you are no longer required to memorize announcements, I didn’t when I went through training. Keeping my my fingers crossed for your CJO!! ❤️
Omg!! They told us 3 weeks (as of today, it's been 15 days). I've asked some of the people I've met and no one has received anything yet. I need to pick your brain because I've heard soooooooo much stuff about what to study, and not study. I know this is crazy but I'm just afraid of failing and being sent home. I had someone tell me, who didn't make it through training, that you'll need to memorize the announcements word for word. Thoughts??
Deann Ford No honey, with Skywest you aren’t required to memorize anything but your evacuation drills. The announcements are on a device you’ll receive during training and you’ll learn how to use it. I’m Chicago based so I’m American, Delta and United dedicated. Can you imagine having to memorize all 3?? Cause on reserve you may work American one day then the next day you’re on United. I’m on IG as @azjonathan6 if you want to reach out to me there. And I’m on FB with the same name as my UA-cam name you see. Reach out and I’ll help you out. I’m from Tucson and commute back and forth,
schontria harris Well, now I’m hearing they’re starting to have you memorize announcements again. Heard from a couple new hires. Things change so much here, I can barely keep up.
This is very encouraging!!! Your words of truth made me tear up!!! Thank you for sharing your story and your tips for us starting out on this journey. ❤️😃 Best of luck to anyone reading this!!!
I’m went to the American Airlines interview and didn’t get the CJO . I got one from Frontier but didn’t think I wanted to work for them just to manny employees are unhappy. So hoping to go to interview with Skywest on March 20th in Denver!!! I applied for Alaska back at the end of October and haven’t heard anything so one month for you to hear from United isn’t bad!!! I hope you get it. I was a flight attendant before and I regret the day I left. I left to help my partner open a retail store that we made very successful but I have missed flying ever since.
Hey, Ryan! Thanks for the comment! As of today, I haven't heard anything back from Skywest airlines. It has been 3 weeks since i did my f2f. I just need to be more patient. One of the girls that got a f2f received her CJO today. Not sure why i haven't heard back, but I'll be optimistic 🤞
Hi there!! I think you are one of the Very Best young ladies speaking about the entire journey process! One thing I thought was great, was that you took advise from others- Especially about the WATCH!! Even if it takes awhile to get used to having it on your wrist!! My daughter is a flight attendant in Dallas, Texas. She first went to Flight Academy Training school in Eagan (Minneapolis) The girls you saw that "looked the part" probably graduated academy. My daughter was actually hired after her tests were done but prior to graduation. The benefit of going to academy is that 5 airlines come to the academy specifically to find top exam scores & top rule followers. They offer jobs to many people. Some are not offered jobs prior to graduation, but are prepared to attend group interviews. My daughter then had to move to tempe for training. she said she felt bad for the girls that didnt come from a flight academy...they had a very hard time learning all of the information in those weeks because academy graduates had all that tested prior to coming to the airline training...good luck to you
Deann... I've watched a lot of SkyWest group interview videos and yours is so inspiring. Thank you so much for sharing your experience, and congratulations on everything. I'm going to a group interview on December 17th and this video is super helpful!
I think you got it I also have the interview for AA and like you mention what’s meant to be yours no one can take it away!!!! God bless us all!!! And thank you for sharing your experience 😋
Thanks, Blue! I got my "thank you, next" email from United Airlines. American airlines also said no. I'm waiting to hear something back from Skywest or Mesa Airlines
@@Deannford love your videos so much. You're right..jesus will not give us a cross we cannot bear. May I ask did you get a CJO from an airline? Thank you again for being so awesome!!

Hi, I am not a flight attendant, but I have wanted to do this ever since middle school. I have had a few interviews (mostly video interviews, but one group interview), and I have not had the greatest success. However, my advice for ANY kind of job interview is to focus on being your own personal best, and not trying to outdo other interviewees. If you seem like you are trying to outdo other interviewees, not very many companies will want to hire you, as it will make you seem desperate. However, if you only focus on being your own personal best, that will make you seem like you are serious about the job, but not desperate, and this will actually entice companies to hire you. If you have only focused on being your very best during the interview (not outdoing other interviewees), and you are still not chosen for the position, you might just not be what the company is looking for in their employees. Reapply for the position after the specified amount of time, and in the meantime in between time, look at similar companies, or other positions within the company.
Girl! I am so happy for you! Love your energy and your trust in God that whatever his will is for you! Love all the advice and just your whole being! Thank you! I hope to be flying with you with SkyWest!!💕🙏
I really loved watching this Deann! It's both entertaining and informative. I do have a question tho, are you expected to have first aid trainings prior to the interview already? I have a question about the tattoos, I have read on the sky west website that they can be covered with the appropriate skin tone makeup ? So has this changed or do they not adhere to the guidelines written on their site. I was trying to add a screen shot of it to my message but unfortunately I don’t know how. Thanks for you very informative videos
When i went to the group interview in February, we're told that even if a tattoo could be covered with makeup, you still had to disclose this. There was a young lady who had a wrist tattoo that could be covered with a watch. She made it to the final interview and was sent home because it was discovered by the interviewer. The safest answer is to show the interviewers your tattoo and they'll make the final decision if it's appropriate or not.
I attended an event a couple weeks ago and was sent home due to my wrist tattoo. But the woman pulled me aside and said they are looking to change that policy and hope to become more lenient within a year and told me to check back. I just received a notification that they are having another hiring event near me, so I checked and saw the policy has changed!:) It clearly says it’s ok if the tattoo can be covered with makeup to match your skin tone. I will be attending that hiring event next week!! Best wishes to you:)
Girl you're such a sweet woman. I hope you get the job. I'm going to a group interview on May . Thank you so much for sharing your experience and tips with us.
I did this video about a year ago. I don't know about the website but at the time, visible tattoos, even if they can be covered in makeup, were not allowed. People were dismissed. Maybe the tattoo policy has changed🤷🏿♀️
Wow.... you may be taking a pay cut. Everyone is different. If you're able to have a side hustle while being a flight attendant, you should be fine. I'll always recommend saving as much money as you can, just in case your plans don't should change. Thanks for watching!
Show the recruiters. You'd hate to get dismissed from the interview because you didn't tell them. They'll let you know if the tattoo is acceptable or not
You can have tattoos but your tattoos can not be visible. Arm tattoos can be covered by wearing the long sleeve uniform pieces. Leg tattoos can be covered by wearing pants or black opaque tights. So just wear long sleeves (dress, blouse or blazer) to your interview and you will be fine.
Tattoos on hands, fingers, ears, face, wrist (even long sleeves may rise to expose a wrist tattoo) are areas tattoos are visible and cannot be covered by uniform pieces. Be sure to have those type of tattoos completely covered with cover fix makeup. Dermablend is a great cover fix makeup exclusively for tattoos.
I heard you mention the tattoo policy and I plan on going to the open recruitment tomorrow in Jacksonville are they like taking a tissue and rubbing it on there arm to see if it’s covered
Hi, Tiffany! At the group interviews, they don't do a tattoo check. They'll inform you of their tattoo policy and if you have a tattoo, you'll have an opportunity to show the recruiters if it's visible in uniform
Thankyou for the response so i went we didn’t do a 60 second introduction we only did a f2f interview which I felt went great they said 3wks you will here back how long did it take for you to hear back and also they changed there policy they said if you have tattoos in visible places must be covered by uniform or by makeup which matches your skin tone so I was happy about that
They did not do any drug screening. If you're invited to stay for a one on one interview, there's no drug screening. I don't know how their process works. I only did a one on one and waited for 3 weeks to see if I'll get a CJO. I didn't get one😢😢
Thanks you so much on your video. I have a group interview in Los angels on June 5 and like you mention What's meant to be yours no one can take it away .God bless you

Wow.... you may be taking a pay cut. Everyone is different. If you're able to have a side hustle while being a flight attendant, you should be fine. I'll always recommend saving as much money as you can, just in case your plans don't should change. Thanks for watching!
Great video and you’re funny 😂
Thank you for watching!
29 min took me out!😂😂 She could have sent a text message!😂😂
@@ItsSonEyeYah 😂😂😂😂
What do you suggest before I go to my interview about my arm tattoo
Thankyou for the response so i went we didn’t do a 60 second introduction we only did a f2f interview which I felt went great they said 3wks you will here back how long did it take for you to hear back and also they changed there policy they said if you have tattoos in visible places must be covered by uniform or by makeup which matches your skin tone so I was happy about that
Was the one on one the same day as the group interview?
Yes! It's on the same day
Hi did you actually got the email saying no ? Cause is been 3 weeks now and i have not receive anything
I finally received the rejection email after 3 weeks. It came about 25 days after the fact. Check your spam folder. That's where i saw this email
What was the name of the absorb oil stuff? Lol I need it
Reference what part of the video lol! I have no clue what you're talking about
Did they conduct a pre-employment drug test? How about random drug tests? When was your first one?
They did not do any drug screening. If you're invited to stay for a one on one interview, there's no drug screening. I don't know how their process works. I only did a one on one and waited for 3 weeks to see if I'll get a CJO. I didn't get one😢😢
Deann Ford thank you! I don’t plan on doing drugs haha, cannabis just stays in my system for a very long time due to fat content.
does anyone know when the Philadelphia one is?
You can go to their website and they list all the upcoming group interviews there
they don't have the Phl date listed on there so I was curious. I was wondering if it was tomorrow.
Lol Jermaine Jackson 😂😂 you are a beautiful queen.
what about tattoos on the foot ?
How should I do my hair
I'd pull it back into a neat ponytail or bun. You want to make sure that your hair is not falling on your face. No distractions!!
Is it not okay to write your speech ahead of time?...
“I wanna be with you, baby! I wanna love you!” Hired!
If only it was that simple.
I died when she said "Jermaine Jackson oily" 🤣
You are so funny
hey girl, get yourself into ops position and work from there.
Thank you, Ella!
