Here's why I bought the Fujifilm X100V in 2024, and why you should too.
The Fuji X100V is still the best everyday camera in 2024.
Also, check out my film simulations from this video over at

All test footage was shot on the Canon C70 in CanonLog2(CLOG2) and the Canon R5 in CanonLog3(CLOG3).

I really love this camera! she really captures my entire mood that I want to reflect in the photo! Thank you for the video
Same! I carry it every day with me now lol. and of course! Glad you enjoyed it!
This accompanies my GR3 everywhere (another wonderful gem!)
You definitely make me wish I had one to play with!
I think it does grow on the user over time, different features that can be used in daily photography. The flash function for example, and the ND filter. Plus it's so well built, feels like it will last for a very long time.
It's such a fun and reliable little camera. and it absolutely grows on you over time lol.
I’ve got an X-Pro3 with a 23mm f2 on it and even though it’s a little larger as a setup, it’s got the same vibe. And it looks killer, like an old fujifilm TX-1 or xpan
That's awesome! It's the same sensor actually if I remember correctly.
Just bought mine for 1,800. I knew I was buying it for a bit more but because it's discontinued and EVERYONE wants one, I thought of it as an investment! Can't wait till it arrives!
That’s about what I sold mine for! It really is.
I didn’t plan on selling it but long story short I had a spur of the moment opportunity to get the X100VI.
You’re gonna love the V!
I bought one today for 900eu. The front glass of the ovf is cracked but it has a shuttercount below 1000 and the camera looks pristine (aside from the cracked glass).
The previous owner assured me this happened spontaneously, not because of a fall. She opened her camerabag one day and there it was, this ugly crack.
She wants to buy the VI so she sold this one and I think I got a nice deal because of it.
Owning an XT-4 I am used to an EVF anyway and since I have no idea what it will cost to replace the glass of the ovf, and as it does not really impact the funcionality of the camera, I am leaning to just live with it. It will be my EDC anyways, so she won't be so pristine for long anyways :)
Love how you put this together! Nice insights and interesting to hear your thoughts, Brady! 🙌
Glad you enjoyed it! Really appreciate it!
I honestly can't wait to see the prices on these plummet when the X100VI hits the market, and the fervor shifts from the X100V to the VI.
I think the x100vi will flop completely and x100v will still stay on top and be relevant...
I just bought a used v for 999
@@justaemptymall unfortunately this comment did not age well
Will x100v have an update in 2024??
They've come out with a successor model, the X100VI. It's currently backordered just about everywhere though and in short supply. In terms of updates to this one software wise, I doubt it. Fuji isn't known for pushing tons of software updates to cameras relative to the pace of other manufacturers like Canon.
The X100 series are a great line of cameras and Fuji has managed to improve the camera to some degree with each new release. That said I've looked on at the pricing situation of the X100V since launch in disbelief. I own many different Fuji X series cameras and I've never had to pay more than £500, ( $635 ), for a mint used model and that includes the X100F, X-Pro2 Graphite edition & X-H1. The X100V is still trading at £1,400 and if I was contemplating one now I'd be very wary of taking the plunge before the price of the new upcoming model is released as depending where it is set, it could have quite a knock-on effect on the price of the X100V.
I set my own price on what a commodity is worth. If it's not within my price range, I won't buy it. For me, supply and demand doesn't work. It's expensive, I don't buy it.
@@michelecintramika8482 Sensible approach Michele, avoid the herd mentality and stick to your own rules. I'd always wanted an X-H1 but stuck to my pricing rule, eventually when the X-H2 came out prices dropped and I got one within my range, patience paid off. No one can convince me in pure product terms that 1 X100V was worth 3 X-H1's, which was the case at the time.
I wanted x100v but now il just wait for the new one instead for half the price lol
Good luck, that will sell out as soon as released
@@michamilkaAnd be worse in terms of functionality and build quality**
I actually didn’t know it had ND stops…
😂😂😂
I didn't either. Absolute game changer lol
X100v / xe4 / xs20?
Tricky one. X100V only if you like the focal length (the converter lenses take away too much of the compactness). And while the X-E4 is the obvious alternative when you want a different focal length and change lenses, I'd lean towards the X-S20 (or something like the X-T30 II, X-T3...) as it is much more comfortable to hold.
Honestly, X100V. The prices are falling if you're patient too. It's so nice to have a contained compact little camera without the need to invest in a whole other lens ecosystem.
@@ClipPlayTVI don't think prices will fall. It's made in Japan unlike the x100vi
it's successor is coming
Yes it is! and I'm hoping it'll help drive the cost of the V down even more. All of the X100 cameras are so timeless
@@ClipPlayTVDoubt that it will affect the x100v. People who sell now make a fatal mistake.
Try Reggie's Portra :)
That's the portrait sim I use now and I LOVE it! Thanks for the suggestion!
X100V is overhyped, thinking about xpro 3 instead ahhahaa
The XPro3 is a solid camera. I have a few friends here in Atlanta with it. We've compared side to side and even though it has the same sensor as the X100V, the options with interchangeable lenses definitely make it a good choice. However, for those already invested in other camera ecosystems not wanting to splurge on tons of lenses, the V is a great way to dip into the Fuji ecosystem for a lower price than a body + full kit!
@@ClipPlayTV The X100V is quite pricey in my local market, reaching a peak of around $2,000 for a like-new condition. It's even more expensive than the XPro3 when brand new.
Apsc in such big body is insane
I thought exactly the same … then I tried it … it’s honestly a fabulous camera (I have the XT4 and GR3 too), and there is definitely something about it’s aesthetic and ergonomics … zero regrets (though I would not pay the hyped price I bought mine RRP here in the UK)
