I used to multibox 24 just for sheer torture and to see if I could do it. My biggest issue back then was where to put all the keyboards. It was torture after a wipe running all my naked guys back 6 at a time would take a really really long time. However, I did learn how to successfully raid Fear at level 60. Since then I retired a bunch of computers and only have 12 active computers. I mostly play 6 now but sometimes on more difficult fights I'll bring in a few more so I can get full buffs. When you play 12 for a couple of days and switch back to 6, you feel so fast and efficient all of a sudden and wonder what to do with all the free time (a half sec here and there.. lol ) I frequently get people yelling out "bots!" and sometimes I get GMs showing up to monitor me, although I think most know me now and ignore the people yelling "bots". I have never been banned although I have had a few discussions with GMs. If you watch closely you can tell I'm controlling all the characters, but most people don't watch but 10 seconds and think I'm botting. I enjoyed your video, thanks for sharing. One thing I do that you didn't mention is what do you do for assisting if your MT dies (so they need to assist someone else) or you need to have your MT occupy one mob while your Secondary Tank attacks the adds with the rest of the group. Frequently I end up having a healer heal the MT and druids, shamans, clerics all focus on Secondary tank since he is weaker of the tanks (like a ranger might be). This also applies to follow as the main person you follow might be dead so need to follow someone else.
So when the main tank dies, I normally just die because I haven't actually configured that on Teek yet. On Mischief I was running 16-17 and I had 3 tanks but all I have here is a ranger and I have nothing setup for if the tank dies to assist him it's all done manually, actually when I die on main tank I usually get pissed and walk away and let it all wipe because, and you may be able to relate, unless I'm at an easy to get to camp or a safe spot, I'd rather run all the characters back together then try to run one or two back, sometimes the cleric lives or I can camp it out and I can res but if the tank dies that's basically going to be my stopping point for the day lol. Running 24 manually sounds like an intense amount of back pain, I already dislike reaching left or right, I would have liked to see how you had that setup. Are you boxing or playing somewhere now?
@@vanman2099 I play on Agnarr mostly. I level on different servers up to about 60 but only on Maelin and Fironie Vie do I have high level characters. I find winning boss battles at 60 and under more fun (unless I plan to do PoP then I go to 65) so when my group gets to 60 (or 65 in some cases) I pretty much just start another group with different type of classes. I do planes of power usually with 12 but even with level 65 characters I find winning against those bosses not worth the pain of trying. It has been a couple of years since I tried defeating one of those. I gave up on 24 just because the pain of recovering from a wipe was just unbearable. It took me hours usually. I've been playing for so long that I have a lot of characters that I can switch between depending on what I want to accomplish. I haven't created anyone on Teek yet and probably won't for a couple more months to give time for people to move on from the beginning areas and my 6-12 boxing won't create too many issues. I've tried sticking to just 6 but I've gotten use to having all the extra buffs and damage that I can get from more than 6 that I end up slowly creeping back up. However 6 is my relaxing gameplay where I don't feel any stress so I wish I could stick with only 6 but so far I've failed at that; at least longterm. Playing with 12 helps with recovery as I can usually get one of the clerics camped, but with 6 we fight until everyone is dead or we win. Also I agree with you that when playing 10 characters a hasted charmed pet isn't worth the risk of the charm breaking and the chaos that creates. Playing only 3 the charm pet works well but with 10, just a really big pain.
@@replicator1896 I'm torn with the enchanter charm because it is the best DPS for awhile but it does get crazy. Yes I could see this, I remember when I played more than 12 it was like...do I really have enough time to even play because it would take forever to get setup.
Few thoughts: First off, this is fantastic. I box three tops, can't imagine nine. You have a really good setup, but boxing around nine seems miserable and it's not even the buffing part. I'd stick to six tops. You've got ba-ba-bal-ball-balls of steel posting a video like this especially using a VPN which will put you on the banned list very quick. Fantastic work brother.
ahh yes, they watch my videos anyways and ban me randomly, comes with the space, I think 6 is probably the way to go unless you have MQ running, although when everyone is geared up and maxed I ran 13 in Planes of Power on Mischief manually and that was a lot easier, just normally keep multiple of classes like I had 4x rangers.
This setup is nice. I firmly believe nothing is more efficient than having a bot crew of melee that simply follow and auto click assist. I've boxed 6 toons on 3 different TLPs and it only ever feels like im playing my tank and healer, stopping bard melody to cast songblade is high maintenance for my setup.(when the toons get epic 2.0's my work triples) The rogues/monks/zerkers just follow my main tank and good positioning and the auto clickers handle the rest. Pulling back to a camp spot is profoundly inefficient and a time waster. Dungeon roaming is far better in every sense imaginable. This style of play allows you to be 100% in the rules 100% of always. You probably know this, but shadow vortex creates more hate so when you pull multiples, maybe pull snare then switch to 2nd mob and vortex, and switch back. snare doesn't last long so you will prob have to recast on the 2nd mob if you started with it.
It's absolutely insane but the only way to get it done on TrueBox servers, there's probably a VMWare work around but I never got it to work and I don't think I'd like that setup anyway if I could.
Couple suggestions from another boxer: Use a hasted charm pet. It will probably out DPS your whole setup. Load an AOE mez instead of trying to tank everything.
Those are good suggestions, I get really annoyed with the charmed pets, I used to use the golems in the hole but even giving the pet all the negative magic resist stuff it just always seems to break at the most inconvenient times but it always did more damage than group. I used to put Bard on pet just playing mezz and that's it in case it broke. AoE mezz is a good idea, I'll have to see if I got any of those yet, looks like there was one at level 16 but I never bought it.
