    110-125cc needs an 18-22mm. No need for a 24mm. 150cc needs a 24-28mm. No need for a 30mm. Speed womt magically be higher if you have a too large carburetor.

    Really confusing. You say bigger carbs don't work as well. Title says "best" carb - PE22. Then you say the pe24 flange works best? So, not the PE24? Just the PE22 with the 24mm flange? Or..?

      PE22 is best, it takes a lot more trial and error with the bigger carburetor (PE24).

    I bought the carburetor and the air filter. I am thinking about sending the carburetor back because my neighbor said the stock carburetor should work fine. What are the benefits of putting on a new carburetor? Also looking at the stock air filter there is a hose that runs into it. I don't see any place for a hose to go on the nubbi filter so I am not sure how to out on the new one.

    • @bearkreekboys
      @bearkreekboys  9 місяців тому

      When you get the Navy tuned correctly the snappiness of it is much nicer than stock. It revs faster and gets up to speed quicker. That hose is most likely a crankcase breather hose that comes off the engine into the air cleaner certain Chinese bikes have that

      @@DanielS784you’ll just want to add a filter to the hose coming out of the valve cover. I’m assuming you’re working on a gx200 or a generic 196cc. They make valve covers tapped for a hose and filter. Or you can rig a filter to the existing hose.

    • @bearkreekboys
      @bearkreekboys  6 місяців тому

      I would just re route that breather somewhere else. Or buy a filter filter for the end of that tube and tie it up to the frame. That's a crankcase vent breather and just goes to atmosphere do not plug, just find a spot so it won't get mud water dirt in.

    with mine i have to let it warm up run it up and down the street to get it idling good and no bog do you think i could go maybe for a smaller pilot jet cause i looked at the original jet and its so much smaller than the nibbis but hey i aint complaining i couldn’t get the bike running for 2 months cause the original carburetor broke and the replica mikuni didnt run well. thanks!

    • @bearkreekboys
      @bearkreekboys  Рік тому

      The size of the hole in the jet has nothing to do with fuel amount being put through it it's all flow rates of those Jets so there's certain little changes in the design of the hole drilled in it that make it bigger or smaller jet number

      @robmuhfacka5986 Рік тому

      So I went ahead and got the 22mm flange even though the bike is a little larger than pitbike size. Right now stock it runs okay but definitely not peppy or high revving it barely sounds like a dirtbike more like a small 125cc motorcycle lol its slow too it builds speed pretty well but doesn't have any real pep to its step. 1st gear is super short and second gear you pick up good speed but there's no real torque. I'm looking to make it into a wheelie machine so I'm doing the 22mm carb and a 13t sprocket up front. If need be depending on how short first and second becomes I may go with a larger rear sprocket also 👌

    Very useful video. Thanks for posting. Performance wise, how the nibbi compares with the stock? I am thinking about installing a Nibbi 22 mm in my SSR 110, but some people online are having problems getting them tuned/working properly (in low and high gears)?. Would a Mukini be a better option? I will be waiting for the next videos, for sure 👍🏻

    • @bearkreekboys
      @bearkreekboys  Рік тому +1

      It all comes down to jetting and what type of riding your doing. I'll have some tuning videos on this setup for sure. Main thing is getting nibbi's actual jet kit for the mains and pilots. They have so many sizes. You almost have to get the pilot circuit as rich as possible without making it so choppy. Then getting main jet to pull all the way out and not fall on it's face. I think the Nibbi is way snappier and revs faster than any of the mikunis. We had the Chinese mikuni and stock carbs and nibbi is the best for quick rev and pull on top end. They r similar to a Keihin carb like what's used on the smaller 125 dirt bikes back in the day.

      I have the nibbi pe 22 on a 110 and if I blip the throttle quick it bogs to stall. If I slowly accelerate it's fine. Tried different pilots and still no change. High revs seem ok just that quick blip bogs bad with 30-38 pilots and air screw tried for rich and lean😢
