      I was able to run the stock jets and adjust the needle clip to the 4th position. It was the 98 main and 32 pilot. Your bike might make a little more power than mine, so it needs more fuel. Jetting takes a while to get it perfect , but once you get it dialed in, it will be worth it. It sounds like you're on the right track.

      What air filter are you running? I'll be able to help more once you tell me that.

    • @MartinRacingChannel
      @MartinRacingChannel  9 місяців тому +1

      @jpenadelaify If you are running the nibbi filter, the bike runs a little rich. To tune it, the fuel to air needs to be screwed all the way in, start the bike, and turn the idle screw to where the bike is idling at the rpm you like. Then, start to turn the air to fuel ratio to the left in very small increment like 1/4 turns. Rev the bike each time you make an adjustment to see where the bike runs the best. Don't adjust your carb until your bike has warmed up at least 2 minutes. Make sure your choke is all the way in before you start adjusting.
      The bike is easier to tune with the uni air filter to me. The bike doesn't run as rich as it does with the nibbi air filter. You might need to adjust your needle for where you live I'm in Louisiana. If you can't dial it in with the needle , then you will have to drop down a size on your jets. Follow your manual pamphlet to determine if you need to go down on your pilot or your main jet. Mine burns perfect at wide open throttle, it's a little rich at idle and putting around. I ride at 1/2- wide open most of the time so the stock jetting has worked for me.

      My plug looks great at wide open throttle check. Just normal riding it's a little rich.
      You probably need to move up one jet size on the main jet. I would clean the plug or use a new one and ride how your going to ride and check it again. When I put my big bore kit in my plug looked like that and then after a few wide open pulls is started to get a chalky white tint. I was just going to move up a size on the main until it gets a light brown color.

    Been struggling with my Boom Vader 125-10BD and getting the stupid thing tuned right. It came from the previous owner with a VM22 clone carb already installed - slight bog on accel, not a lot of low- or mid-range power, but good top-end. Plopped on a Nibbi 26mm. Better low- and mid-range power, top-end is meh, and it bogs a LOT if you rev it quickly. Stepped down to a 24mm Nibbi, and it's only slightly better than the 26mm. Bought a bunch of extra pilot and main jets, tried all different needle and air screw settings, nothing gets any of them 100% where they need to be. No idea how the heck so many other folks have been reporting their 24mm and 26mm Nibbi carbs work great without any bog on their 125cc's.

      24mm carb setting that worked best for me
      110 main jet 35 pilot jet
      You will have to see what needle clip setting gives you the best result. I think I had it in the center. This combo gave me a perfect spark plug on wide open throttle , but there was still a very slight hesitation when twisting the throttle off idle. I was going to try a 34 pilot and 36 pilot jet and see which would fix it. The kit from Amazon only had a 32 and 38 pilot, and neither of those were better than the 35 pilot jet. Hopefully, this helps some. Let me know what you end up doing.

      I'm not sure if it will be fine without or not. You might be able to go to a local hardware store and find a plastic washer that would work?It'd have to be something similar to their design so it doesn't deteriorate. I tried looking on nibbi's website and they don't have one listed. I'm sure you could email them and they'd have one they can send.

      The one at the bowl is for draining the bowl. You can open it with the screw below the bowl to drain the bowl before making jetting changes. The one at the mouth of the intake is from your gas tanks petcock valve. It's how your carburetor gets fuel from your tank.

Turn your air to fuel screw all the way in, set your idle at the rpm you like. Begin turning the air to fuel screw to the left in 1/4 turn increments and rev the throttle each time you make an adjustment. @CroEk913 Well you know it's not fuel related. I would check the spark plug and make sure your getting spark. After that I would make sure you are getting a good connection at the cdi box. Unhook the 2 connectors and the clip them back on and make sure they are on really tight if not crimp the connector a little then push them on.

    Hey man I got a question, what size nibbi carb should I get for my Apollo rfz x19 125

    • @MartinRacingChannel
      @MartinRacingChannel  6 місяців тому

      On the nibbi racing website, it says the 19mm carb is suitable for the apollo 110 and 125cc dirtbikes. However, it also says the 22mm carb is suitable for 110cc-130cc dirtbikes. I think as long as you stick with either the 19mm or 22mm you'll see a noticeable difference in performance. I wouldn't get one any larger than the 22mm.

      I've had nothing but good results with mine. Not sure if you watched the performance test, but it was a huge improvement over stock.
      I'm running the 22 mm with the factory jetting 98 main 32 pilot on the 4th needle clip. It is a little rich at idle, but great everywhere else. Are you putting it on a 125cc 4 stroke engine? If you continue to have issues email nibbi they will get you what you need if you have bought the wrong size.

    Hey man not sure if you can help or not. I have the same carb and I recently did a bunch of work on a 2000 xr80r and decided to upgrade carbs since it bogged a lot. I rebuilt the bottom end and all that. So I wanted a higher performance carb. Anyways when installing the carb I cannot get the throttle to snap back. I am using odi lock ons on protaper xr50 bars. Pe throttle cable as well. Throttle cable is long but even without it on the throttle tube it won’t snap back at all. Thank you and hope you can help

    • @MartinRacingChannel
      @MartinRacingChannel  Рік тому

      Unscrew the red cap on top of the carburetor that the trottle cable goes through and make sure the cable is running through the spring and o ring. Once you do that before replacing the cap back on twist the throttle and make sure nothing is binding. The next step will be making sure the slide is all the way seated in the carburetor. Sometimes, it can be 180 degrees out and cause the issues you're having as well. Let me know how it goes tomorrow.

      You will have to check first , but I believe it is a breather vent for your crankcase. Take a look at the engine diagram and see if it says what it is. If it is a crankcase vent, you can reroute the hose to the rear of the engine.

      I'm not sure what you are talking about. The header only has the heat shield on the outside to protect your leg from getting burnt. The rubber around the muffler that is in between the clamp is to cut down on vibrations. I'll have to look at the bike close and see what you're talking about.
