The last 10 mins is why I think Aaron is one of the best instructors out there. It is simply because he is a TEACHER in every sense of the word. Not a shooter, or performer, or grand master, but a teacher. He even goes so far as to show you his own mistakes and teaches you why he is making those mistakes. In the firearms training community, people get so wrapped up in preforming and the instructor being absolutely perfect that they dismiss the fact that if the person can TEACH, he doesnt have to be the BEST shooter on earth. If you can teach even from your mistakes, I believe you have surpassed the bar of an "instructor", and have reached the level of TEACHER.
Thank you. You impart knowledge more as a “guide on the side”, rather than a “sage on the stage” I appreciated your knowledge, your humbleness and realism. Please keep up the public service of your work.
the more I watch the more I realize and understand that I need training because my shooting may be ok or there's something wrong with what I'm doing IE.... an instructor to tell me this is what I need! great vid!!!!!
Great lesson! You are by far the most realistic instructor I've watch.I have applied a lot of your techniques ,because they work. When I see perfect 1" groups from a pistol I feel a little showmanship(fake) was applied by the instructor. When I watch you I know ,this guy knows his stuff👍🏻.Keep up the GREAT work.
"Glock 21, otherwise known as a dictionary with a pistol grip." LMAO! Great video as always Aaron, along with your unique brand of humor to keep things interesting.
Excellent video. I'm a 77 year old fart who just got a new gun (XD clone) with a new to me red dot and I have the shakes when shooting. Using what you are teaching I have already noticed a dramatic improvement in my ability to hold the gun steady and hit stuff I couldn't hit before.. Thank you !!
As a preacher/Bible teacher, the three most important factors for understanding a passage are: 1) Context, 2) Context and 3) Context! ... Lots of great stuff. Thanks!
"Context is one of my favorite words in the English language" Well, that and *Pendantic* hehe! Getting instruction from Aaron is like instruction from a Harvard Professor. Brilliantly articulated as always sir!
Thank you for that mention of the master grip hand's fingertips digging into the palm of the support hand. I've had that problem and haven't been able to ask an instructor about how to remedy it. Great information here, as always.
I really appreciate these videos, and the way you communicate the information in a concise and thorough manner. I haven't had the time to take an actual class, but I've seen improvement in my own abilities based on your information. Thank you very much. You are appreciated.
I appreciate your detailed explanation and griping theory. I am able to troubleshoot my grip and your one handed shooting with two fingers demonstrated to help me to relax my other 3 fingers on my primary hand. You are awesome! Great lecture!!!
Great video. I just put a dot on my pistol yesterday. I shoot a 1911 and I've always loved how I just naturally point with it with iron sights but with the dot I'm consistently high. This video addressed the problem very well and even with a couple hours of dry practice I'm improving. Thanks Aaron.
Good video. As an instructor, it's always good to hear different points of view. A lot of what you speak on, are the same philosophy & techniques I stress during a lesson. Thanks.
So do you have a bot program that leaves a generic comment on every gun video on UA-cam to attract more viewers to your channel? I swear you don't have time to watch all these videos and run your channel
Wonderful video! You identified my problem that I've been trying to figure out for over a year. Thank you! It's been driving me nuts. Now to a winter's worth of training to get past it.
I'm a right handed shooter. The information you gave at 8:10 might explain why my groups are always to the left of point of aim! thanks for the info, I'm going to test this at the range this weekend!
Dude, your videos are like classes that i can take online and free!! same thing some of these so "called" teachers will teach you out in the field (Range), and will charge hundreds of dollars, not to mentioned, they will make you go these classes on Saturdays and Sundays!!! keep up the great videos. I am learning a lot from you. You are awesome!!! just got you a new subscriber!! :)
This was a valuable lesson. Sir, you are terrifically well spoken teacher & it' s VERY obvious that you enjoy teaching. I'm a new sub & I'm looking forward to more vids!
Thanks for the video and instruction, I appreicate the fact you show your shots both good and bad well not bad just not as good as you desired. Great stuff!
I have wondered many times if left handed shooters are at a distinct disadvantage when trying to follow instruction fro right handed instructors. I always heard the words if your left handed just do the opposite. This of coarse comming from all the right handers. I now know it is just that simply and that a good thing. Great instruction, you're a born teacher. In spite of what they say about Doers and teachers.
The more videos that I watch on your channel I realize how little I know about shooting and I love shooting 😎👉 and target practice but I now understand there's so much more to it than just shooting and it's because of your channel so I just wanted do drop by and say thank you as I appreciate everything you talk about it's been so helpful to making me become not only a better shooter but a well informed one and for that I say thank you oh and I can bet you have made more than a few people better it's truly amazing the info and experience you give us for free ....I wish I was from your area I would love to take your classes and train with you maybe one day I will fly out to do so I can tell it would definitely be worth it ok brother practice safe and I'll see you on the next one PEACE!!!!😎
Love the video. I had an IDPA match today and shot a different gun that I normally do just to see how I do. I went from a cz-75b to a kimber pro carry 2 and shooting a 45 vs a 9mm created issues for me regarding to accuracy, I was firing factory loads and was all over the place.
Thanks so much for these grip videos you have been doing they have helped me a lot. I carry a glock and practice with it, but I enjoy playing with other firearms whether for fun or too get better with other guns like revolvers I don't carry one and not sure I ever will unless I wanted one for dangerous game hunting, so how can you build a grip that will work well with anything I pick up like a revolver that has a significantly different grip profile to most semiautomatic magazine fed pistols?
Love this video! Great content and instruction. Master grip is a big deal. I notice especially from strong side carry, my grip technique on the draw is different with the G26 vs the G19. One reason why recently I've stopped carrying the 26 as often. Appendix is a lot easier to get a solid grip on both, but sometimes you need to change position. I usually have my arms locked out. Definitely need to try the elbows bent. Looks like a more solid way to apply that support hand sideways pressure.
Good point on and strength. What you young guys call a firm hand shake would crush my 77 year old hands. I have to really hang one when I shoot . Facts of life you have to deal with what you got. Same applies to running falling and getting up from from different shooting positions I appreciate you bringing that point out from time to time. Mikey
What would you recommend for someone with larger hands, I have really long fingers and when I hold my gun with my primary hand, there isn't a big open space for the heel of my support hand. I measured and between my middle finger and heel there is 1/8", ring finger and heel is 1/4", then a big 1" Gap from pinky. So when I try to place my support hand there, it just sits on top of my fingers, or i have to loosen the grip of my primary hand to make room for it. I've always just placed my support hand over my primary hand as it is, without moving the thumb of my support hand up and out of the way. This is with all of my double stack guns (sphinx sdp compact, walther p99), my FN 5.7 has a larger grip and I can get a little more room, but still only an added 1/4" to the above numbers. Even when I raise my thumb up of primary hand, there is only 1/2" from my finger tips to the rear of the grip. Do you think it's more important to keep my primary hand fully griping the gun and place my support hand on the fingers, or bend my fingers a little to get my support hand heel on the gun? Thanks for any suggestions.
Great video, thanks! So obviously your left handed, are you right eye dominant? I'm the opposite, right handed and left eye dominant so I have to bring my sights under my left eye. The handgun ends up not being inline with my right arm and it's noticeable when I bring up the cadence.
Speaking of driving the gun down by pressing on the frame--you have another opportunity with that light on. I have the same light and I have huge hands with long fingers. I'm actually able to use those long fingers to press down on the frame of the light while I'm shooting. Works wonders!!!
Excellent Video. Great Information. I'm a new shooter that's frustrated with my shooting inconsistencies. This channel has been teaching me a lot. Thank you.
Could you do a video on the pros and cons of appendix carry? (If you haven't already) it seems to be quite the polarizing topic among the UA-cam crowd lately.
what do you think about consciously using more pressure with the pinky fingers as a method to pro proactively manage recoil? can that work in conjunction with the technique you apply with your thumbs?

100% accurate.
I have NEVER heard grip discussed in such depth or more accurately. Thanks again Aaron for another informative video!
Best gun channel on UA-cam. No contest.

"I feel like I'm being strangled by a weak child"
made me lol.
I don't know how SageDynamics doesn't have over a million subs by now. I've found every video of his useful in my life.
"Glock 21, otherwise known as a dictionary with a pistol grip." LMAO!
Great video as always Aaron, along with your unique brand of humor to keep things interesting.
Finally! I found someone who shoots left handed and is an instructor. Thank you for making these videos. Much appreciated!

Well, that and *Pendantic* hehe!

Thank you for that mention of the master grip hand's fingertips digging into the palm of the support hand. I've had that problem and haven't been able to ask an instructor about how to remedy it. Great information here, as always.
“A dictionary with a pistol grip” this literally got me in trouble with my wife because I woke her up and my 6 month old son from laughing out loud!
The “Dog Shit Ammo” line had me 😂
Your vids are constantly most informative out of all the instruction/advice vids I watch, thanks!
Great video, as always! Plus a firm grip aides in handgun retention should a physical struggle ensue. 🤠
This video is going on my "required watch list" for my class handouts, it really is that good. Very well done!
I love the way you explain grip and cadence. Very glad I found your channel!
I really appreciate these videos, and the way you communicate the information in a concise and thorough manner. I haven't had the time to take an actual class, but I've seen improvement in my own abilities based on your information. Thank you very much. You are appreciated.
I swear I've watched this video 7 times and I've learned something new every time
Aaron does an excellent and clear presentation. Great detail and knowledge.
I appreciate your detailed explanation and griping theory. I am able to troubleshoot my grip and your one handed shooting with two fingers demonstrated to help me to relax my other 3 fingers on my primary hand. You are awesome! Great lecture!!!
30:33 "That's why I love when people wear logo t-shirts."
You bastard!

I had no idea Matt Damon was such a accomplished firearms instructor/shooter. 👏😜, love the context! Love the breakdown, love the videos.
excellent video
I fully agree

BLD Lightpainting bet that Sergeant was a POG.
@@alaskajohn907 John, who are you talking to?
The detail in your videos is spot on.
Very good video filled with precise, detailed, understandable info based on physics, which is how one learns to operated a firearm correctly...thanks
“Perishable skills” I like that term. Makes me think of even the best musicians still practice for a couple hours a day
Wonderful video! You identified my problem that I've been trying to figure out for over a year. Thank you! It's been driving me nuts. Now to a winter's worth of training to get past it.
You are so under viewed and followed. You're giving away gold. Great video and instruction. Top notch. Keep up the great work.
Aaron - thank you, Sir. I appreciate the details of your explanations. These videos are very much appreciated.
I'm a right handed shooter. The information you gave at 8:10 might explain why my groups are always to the left of point of aim! thanks for the info, I'm going to test this at the range this weekend!
This is instruction that most would happily pay for. Great video, brother.

Good stuff as always sir. Hoping to catch a class with you this year!
Very helpful video to a new shooter. You're a great teacher.
As always great videos Aaron keep up the good work.
This guy is great. I just stumbled onto his videos. Great job.

Lmao I don't think seller & belliot ever had an advertisement quite like that before
That is very true. My ruger P95 grip is so huge for my hands and it made such a difference when I shot the XD 3.3
Outstanding video! Thanks for putting these out for us
I appreciate you demoing the single hand shooting
Impressed! Really solid information that you present well.
Your occasional “uhhh”, voice, and speech pattern makes me think of you as a tactical Phillip Seymour Hoffman. Love the channel and your content.
Another great instruction video Aaron.
Another great video like always. Very informative.
Great info for new and old shooters. Best channel out there. 😎😎

Better than I could explain it by far, excellent
I will be attending soon and hope to apply what you’ve shown here. Recoil management/time is definitely a big issue for me.
Thank you for such an in depth video.
Your videos are so thorough. I've just started watching recently, but I'm very intrigued by your work. Thank you. Where do you do your teaching?
This was excellent. Thank you for the video.
You’re a legend Aaron.
Awesome video. Its vids like this that I keep improving. Thankful for UA-cam University. 👍
Great video man. Keep em coming. 👊🏻
Always an intellectual discussion. A physics instruction.
