FINALLY!!!! A LEFT HANDED SHOOTER THAT KNOWS HOW TO INSTRUCT! Y'all are so rare. You've just got a devoted left handed follower Aaron! MORE!!!! Please.
I was rolling my eyes at first but you made a great point about being comfortable with bad techniques. Like with boxing, golfing, bowling or any other coordinated endeavor, form is everything. This video has made me reconsider how I shoot. I am a pretty decent shot but there's always room for improvement. Thanks for the video!
My department teaches the 60/40 grip and I hate it. It's really messing people up on the range that don't shoot as often as they should. Thank you for your videos. Very informative.
Thank you so much for this video! I became a first time gun owner on Halloween of 2020. I bought a CZ P-10 C. I was frustrated at the indoor range tonight because of recoil management. I’m so glad I stumbled onto this video! I have soooooo much to learn!
Outstanding tutorials, I really respect your professionalism and the highly intelligent delivery of the information. I shoot competitively and not for self defense, but it all translates and aligns with my shooting interests. Well done and thank you!
You sound like an astrophysicist that fell in love with guns. Fantastic videos man, I love your in-depth analysis and well thought out explanations. Really glad I stumbled upon your channel!
Great video! For the longest time I had my grip right on the gun, but was applying pressure in the wrong way. I was applying it from the front & rear of the grip. As soon as I started applying pressure more from the sides pushing inward, I immediately started shooting better.
10 seconds into the video and slammed the sub button. Really enjoyed how clear and Articulate you speak . From the comments below , seems like I'm not the only one to notice that your very well spoken for a guy that can dump a full mag into a half dollar .
The Miculek stick trick actually helped me out at 1st. Ive come a long way since then but that video really got me going. This video should help even more im sure
Just saw another guy proposing extending your arms to the max and push the head front and shoulders up, your system has way more sense and also your excellent aiming proves your point.
Well sir, you're definitely telling the truth. I was at the shooting range my instructor told me to loosen up, and once I did my shots got better. How was holding my pistol with a death grip, my elbows was really locked tight. Thanks for explaining this, cuz I didn't know what she was telling me to do this for, I just did what she told me.
Always wondered why sometimes my 1st shot was brilliant, and then following shots seemed to go to shit. Good video. You definitely have a knack for explaining shit
At 6:10 you're perfectly demonstrating sympathetic nervous system response. Your right (off) hand is in nearly the same position with regard to finger position as your left (shooting) hand.
Nice video. Gives me something to think about and i'll try your technique this weekend. It'll be an effort to relax my arms but i'll give it a go. I have to zero my RMR first. I'm looking to see if you have any videos on that.
I like you put alot of thought into that, what do you think about a bullpup style pistol, with muzzle rise and hand grip towards rear of gun the fulcrum is alot higher than if hamdgrip was towards front of gun dont you think?
I'm always impressed by your camera guy, he has balls of steel!! But seriously man, I was I could shoot more often, I feel like I'm learning so much from just watching your videos, I really need to get out and practice!!!
Good to see a left handed instructor. I have a relative who is left handed and right eye dominant. Could you do any videos about that? Are you right eye dominant?
So what ammo do you practice with? Are they down loaded rounds so recoil is less or hot self defense rounds? Also go to Wal-Mart an buy some cheap shirts to put over your targets so you can't see impacts an you can't adjust fire but have to trust in your shot breaking at the right time..
Man I gotta say that your videos really does help a lot, I mean fuck-a-lot!! Thank you for your patient and time to do the video! Keep up great work sir! Your name is Aaron... why does my name spelled wrong... its Arron. Believe me I always got my name wrong all the damn time. I keep telling them its Arron not Aaron. Even my Drivers license, health insurance, everything. Its pain in the ass! Lol Again keep up good work Aaron!!
It's all about locking the joints. You can lock your elbows to keep it straight, or lock your wrists, both have similar results. Personally I prefer bending the elbows because it gives you better retention over your firearm.
To reproduce the feel of self defense ammo in practice, use NATO spec ammo. It's super cheap (less than $.10/rd at WalMart) and has a very similar recoil profile to 124gr +P self defense ammo.
Aaron, how are you able to keep a sight picture during rapid fire like that? Or is it more a matter of "muscle memory" and relying on that to ensure that the gun returns to the exact same position after each shot? I'm truly in awe of your shooting ability, sir.👍
The HiFi Guy it’s there, you get more of a visual reference with an RDS than you do iron sights; with irons you have .10-.15 to make any corrections, which isn’t much time to do it, so cadence is very distance dependent.
@@SageDynamics Do you offer any one-on-one training outside of your normal courses? My interest is primarily in recoil control and improving my cadence like you demonstrated in this video. I've been shooting casually for the last 30 yrs and am a pretty good shot, but my accuracy goes out the window when my cadence increases and I really want to work on that. Perhaps there's a course that you offer that's focused on this? Let me know what you recommend - I live in Woodstock, GA. Thanks!
Whenever I go to shoot quick follow up shots I tend to lose focus on my front site and go straight to looking at the target which in turn I get wide groups. Do you have any suggestions on how to maintain your front site focus or tracking that front site better when shooting quickly?
Long comment followed by "please help". I am a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran. However, my M.O.S. was non-combat related. I would qualify on the rifle range only once per year. I was always told to bring the but of the rifle "tight" into my shoulder when firing. I know this is the case with non-spring recoil. But, it seemed like the tighter I would bring but to shoulder on the M-16 the shakier my body would get, thus throwing off my group. Now operating with the M-4 (5.56 platform). Would like to know if you have any advice on relaxation techniques to tighten my group. Thanks. U.S.M.C Veteran Parris Island 1985.
You now have two options: Try both, each person is different. Knowledge without training is useless..... An exercise example: -Train the "Lovell- Technique" for a week. -The other week the "Sage-Technique" Don't jump back and forth like a kangaroo, otherwise you are unfocused. do not give up, there are good days and bad days. From Germany 💪

Well holy shit. That intro caught my attention.
No lie! I want to shoot like that.
@@johnmarkharris well i could if my barrel touched the cardboard.

I've been shooting for over 15 years and I still took away a lot from this video. Thanks!
this is probably my favorite video you have done. Thanks for taking us along...

Great video and appreciate to us ole dawgs. Reworking my grip and position after 40 years of shooting.
Thanks!
Great video, consistently learn something every time I watch your videos!!
I am always learning from your videos. Thank you!
Awesome video thanks so much also all your videos are very help even for a intermidiate shooter always learning from then thank you !

Excellent content as always!

Excellent tips and video. Thank you.
Well done again. Lots of practice for me to use a more 'efficient' recoil management. Great tip. Now onto your grip video.
God you’re smart. Love your vids. Very informative. Love the detail and breaking everything down.
This was really good. Thanks
best intro ever... amazing skill set
Thanks for the info. Big help!
This guy is a really good instructor. I an an instructor and can learn much from this man.
Great video. Very educational.
I just ordered an Agency Arms Built Glock 19 after seeing yours. I've never seen them up till now.

Dude you make awesome, informative vids... Plus you're a hell of a shooter....
Excellent advice .....combining with a tight grip .....and we on our way 👌
Awesome, good job.
i like the sympathetic response in your right hand while you are shooting left handed at 6:20-6:25.....your off hand is doing the same thing

superb hand gun marksmanship !
great instruction !
great instructor !
great channel !
thank you friend !"
You consistently produce the best in depth training videos on the internet. And yeah Frank Proctor is a great guy to copy.
Great insight
This is just great stuff. Ive always liked this guys videos. Subscribing now.
Just wanted to say I really your channel. Not sure why you don't have more subs. Keep it up.

This dude can really shoot. Smh amazing.
Maliq Hicks You can too, practice, practice, practice.
Super great video and content! Range time 💪🏿
At what distance were the head shots in the intro? Trying to gauge how much work I need!
Drop that knowledge brother, love the vids .please do more!!!!!
Bro, I need to get on your level STAT! Thanks for the info. Please keep it up!
damn..that opening...thats some hella good shooting
Good video!
Hi Aaron - thanks for the quality video. If you don't mind me asking, what barrel are you running in your Glocks currently?
Aaron, in the opening sequence what holster are you drawing you light bearing pistol from ? Thank you !
Awesome awesome video!
Thanks SD.
I appreciated this video and the suggestions. I was hoping that you would have fired a 10 mm or more recoil related round than the 9 mm.
I'm always impressed by your camera guy, he has balls of steel!! But seriously man, I was I could shoot more often, I feel like I'm learning so much from just watching your videos, I really need to get out and practice!!!
Well done
What are the targets you use? Not the 3D ones but the ones with the reduced a zone perforation?
Good to see a left handed instructor. I have a relative who is left handed and right eye dominant. Could you do any videos about that? Are you right eye dominant?
The look at the guy to the left shooting the super loud rifle, then the deep breath 🤣
Bro. Thank you.

That recoil control is
like watching the fookin’ Terminator 2 in action! Amazing!
Forgive me if I don't see the rear of the slide going in the same place
Are you doing anything with your shoulders or lats for recoil control?
Do you retract your shoulder blades?
Do you teach here in Arizona ? If not , where are your classes at?
Another gold mind of information. My issue right now is my grip. Can't seem to keep a comfortable repetitive grip. Frustrating...
Another, AMAZING Video! Thank You Soo much for doing these video's Aaron.
Holy shit. That intro was bad ass. Shooting like that is my goal !

Good info...but all you need to watch if in a hurry is the Intro, 7:05-9:21 and 12:40-15:00
I know this is an old video but lol @ 6:20. That shot placement is better than I would have had with a full 2 hand grip trying my best to hit a group.
Damn dude can shoot
Are you shooting grammo? Or full power loads? I'm not hating, really curious to know if the shooting in the intro is unrealistic expectations.
BOOM....bing..........sigh. lol
Excellent knowledge dump.
Thank you good sir.
Haha.... That look Aaron gave that person, PRICELESS!!!
Great video! I've noticed that you and Lucas from trex arms have a lot of the same techniques and ideas.
Gonna use this on the skreet! Well, maybe just tomorrow at the range.... Proctor Cowan colab class!
Interesting. I’ve noticed Lucas from T-Rex Arms has an elbows relaxed style. And look how quickly he shoots.
It's all about locking the joints. You can lock your elbows to keep it straight, or lock your wrists, both have similar results. Personally I prefer bending the elbows because it gives you better retention over your firearm.
Robber: this place looks like an easy job lets break in…..
Aaron: 0:05
nice as every time :)
im a lefty, right eye dominant. with an atigmatism. subbed
Looked to me that the comped agency arms had more rise than all the others
@11:37 "Pincus, are you on my range again?"
I think Pincus is a 2A-butter
When are you going to do a video on the agency m&p
910 Zach I want one of those things so bad!

I didn't see an insane amount of control.
I did see a quick and heavy front sight focus.

Not bad for one hand!
So many different views. John Lovell says lock out the elbows. I’m confused
