Huge fan of using this shoe in rain/snow/wet conditions. The grip is absolutely fantastic as everyone reports and the midsole is great. This shoe replaced my ES2 as where I live Saucony is super expensive. Just did my last hard effort in this shoe last night before my marathon next weekend.

Appreciate you giving the DN2 some shine. I got a pair for $112 at the start of the year and it's my go-to all-arounder. I've used them for easy runs, quality sessions, long runs, taken them on packed gravel, wore them in torrential rain, and they've never missed a beat.

Love the video balance of shoe plus traveling exploration with the family crew. Enjoyed it while I did 9 miles. Also you background music is 🔥

I enjoy the DN2, but the stability is 100% a bit of an issue if, like me, you don't have the strongest ankles and over-pronate ever so slightly. If you're someone who over-pronates more, I'd imagine the DN2 will cause all sorts of problems.
I'm surprised the vast majority of DN2 reviews say absolutely nothing of the stability. Had I known that before I'm not sure if I would have bought it.

agree on the stability. but other than that, this is a great well rounded shoe

I've had this shoe for a few weeks and have been getting sore ankles. I wonder if this is the reason!

Love DN2 - its my up tempo wet weather shoe. Gonna use it for some summer trails. Interested to see what puma brings out later this year in its deviate updates.
(Happy to see you run a bit more in the mizuno flash 2)

Amazing deal - such a comfortable shoe for walking and recovery. Let me know how you like it

I agree with "rolly" feeling. I love the way the shoe feels but it does hurt my ankle/heel.

Six Hundo😂. At some point, I will probably go over seven Hundo. The midsole is still good on my DN2 but I've been spreading the love to some of my other shoes lately.
This was my running, hiking, etc. shoe last summer on vacation and we had gotten the Forever Run for my wife as a road to trail shoe. Puma road shoes are perfectly adequate for the dry, hard trails in the Southwest U.S.
Also, the family vacation out in nature makes for a very calming video.

The puma shoes are so durable! I'd love to try the ForeverRun nitro out hiking as well but I don't think I could get myself to bring that white and yellow colorway out into the mountains 😂

If we go in the regular size then the small fingers will pain later on ,need to go half a size up in this one.

    Video Summary:
Versatile Beast: Handles daily runs, fast workouts, and even light trails surprisingly well.
Super Grippy: The PumaGrip outsole is sticky and excels in wet conditions.
Narrow Fit: The shoe is quite narrow, especially in the forefoot.
Average Stability: Despite firmer heel foam, stability is just average, sometimes feeling "rolly".
Comfortable: The Nitro Elite foam in the forefoot provides a comfortable, bouncy ride.
Not the Fastest: While peppy, it doesn't feel as fast as some other plated trainers for speedwork.
Durable: The outsole rubber is thick and promises impressive longevity (600+ miles for some!)
Great Value: Especially at the sale price of $90.
Breathable but Hot: Waterproof version can lead to warm feet on hikes.
Supple Certified: Passes the speaker's own versatility test for road, trail, and daily use.

Good shoe, excellent grip. The firmer foam in the heel makes the 8mm drop seem more like a 10mm drop to me. Definitely average stability. Runs well but not a fast shoe.

How this compare to the Adidas Boston 12 in terms of ride and fit?

This shoe is heavy because of its outsole. Hence I did not use it anymore. Prefer the New Balance SC Trainer, Saucony Endorphin Speed 4, Asics Novablast 4 over Puma DN 2.

On foot DN2 feels lighter then Novablast 4 and it's way more verstile.

This shoe have really good laces. No need to double knot these and it will not untie, not like my boston 12.

Would you recommend this for light cruise excursions in Alaska? Have you tried the Puma Voyage nitro 3?

    • @supwell
      @supwell  3 місяці тому +2

Yes if you're looking to pack light and only bring one or two shoes this is a great option for something like that! Grip is great and it's comfortable for walking. I haven't tried the voyage nitro yet!

The $90 deal is for the regular version not the waterproof version, Dicks doesn't even carry the waterproof version

do I size up or size down with this?

    • @supwell
      @supwell  Місяць тому +2

I would go true to size unless you have a wide foot - than go half a size up. But definitely don't size down

Bro I don’t how others were react. I have one small request. Please keep the reviews to 15 to 20 minutes. Its really helpful if you do that. Because i really love your opinion and reviews.
