April Cooke I had IPL (intense pulsed light) done quite a few times. I had numbing cream put on but I'm not going to lie, it hurt like hell and I have a high pain threshold. It worked fine and got rid of those ugly capillaries but unfortunately I need it done again at certain spots. I keep putting it off because right now I can't afford it. It's an expensive procedure but then again, all procedures are. Lol.
Honestly, when it comes to skin care, I go to this lady. Not only her videos are on point and very informative as a specialist and a real doctor, but also the variety of topics she talks about prove that the woman know her field and is aware of people’ concerns and provide so much time to tackle them... Sincerly, props to you Dr. Dray.
Thank you Dr. Dray for yet another incredibly educational presentation. I have these on the back of both hands and also in the palms. My dermatologist stated that they were superficial capillaries. He reassured me that they were not malignant, which was my main concern. The consult passed so quick that I was unable to think of any questions. You covered everything. You have no idea how much you are appreciated and respected. I am not the only one to feel this way. I will soon turn 65 and only recently finally found several channels in my age range. One in particular is very well established. I noticed the owner of that channel posting in the comments. Your subs are increasing daily, CONGRATULATIONS. Huge hugs and much love to you and your lovely mother. Hope the sun is shinning in Houston. Xoxoxo !!!
I would love for you to do a myth buster video. It would be good to know what to leave out and what is needed. I am thinking bogus spa treatments and home treatments such as all those rough scrubs.
Thx my rosacea appeared after Breast cancer treatment (estrogen and progestin fed) lumpectomy, 6 rounds strong chemo and radiation at age 60. This followed by estrogen-surpressing meds, Arimedex for 2 years (terrible for me) and since thenAromasin, so much better. You gave me the best info I’ve had on what to do about the broken capillaries and should I consider derma rollering......no. Will definitely subscribe !!!
Anne Marie D'Arcy Yes, I’ve had it done. I have rosacea, is why I had them. I hate them. My derm told me it can come from nerves,( stress ) and sun🌞 ! I can’t be out in the sun and heat at all!
I had it done just 2 hours ago. Don't have that many, but it inly takes 15 minutes. Now I use 50+ sun screen and since then it takes sooo much longer until I need to go again (approx every 2-3 years). It is a little painful to some, but nothing too bad. I am in Europe, but it cost me 100 EUR. And they are gone immediately! It's amazing!!
I found laser treatment a saviour for my roscacea and with yearly tops keeps it at bay. A tip, additive free wines can be consumed without the embarrassing extreme flushing in Social situations X.
I got my first capillaries on my cheeks when I was pregnant with my first child when I was 21. Now I know why I got them. Love my morning coffee. Our immune system is awesome! Always enjoy your videos. Many blessings..MaryEllen
MaryEllen After 60 Oh hi Mary Ellen! I just came from your channel and i left a comment on your last video about which other youtubers we watch and i mentioned Dr Dray's UA-cam channel lol. She has a lot of great information! I look forward to her daily videos. I think you will too! Have a lovely weekend!
Same. I thought I had acne scars and each time I went to a store, the staff saw my oily nose and gave me oily skin products. I over and over exfoliated my skin, damaged my barrier deeply. I already had some flush since younger ages, but now my Rosacea is crazy. Even the kids call me "apple teacher" lol at the center I thought English.
After going through a natural child birth, I got a ton of them in my cheeks and nose from pushing too hard. My eyes were bloodshot for a few days too but the ones on my face never went away. Thank you for this.
I so appreciate the information you share with all of us subscribers. Your sweet face has become such a pleasure for me! I live in an area that has few dermatologists and there is no way to get an appointment unless you are referred by a doctor for skin cancer. Years ago my son had a very bad reaction to something and ended up in the hospital with a swollen face, ears, eyes swollen shut...it was terrible. When we left the emergency room they told me he should see a dermatologist the next day and if not to bring him back to the ER to be checked. I called the dermatologist my oldest son saw for cystic acne and he could not see him. I called 13 doctors and all said no. Finally my last one in the phone book, a woman, said bring him right down! I cried I was so relieved. It turned out he had a reaction to a defoliant the town sprayed under the power lines. My son had gone over a friends house and they were playing catch and the ball would go into the bushes and they think that is how he got the chemical on his hands then wiped his face of sweat thus spreading the chemical all over his face. She was amazing, she even gave my son (15 years old) her home number in case he had issues in the night! She doubled his medications they gave him and in a couple weeks he was back to normal. That was twenty five years ago now and I am still so thankful to her for what she did. Anyway a dermatologist is impossible to see for simple questions or just a skin care issue like broken capillaries. Then I found you!! You and your mom are so sweet. I have no idea how you have time to work and do these videos but I want you to know I love all of them. Between your sweet personality and your professional expertise and advice I feel blessed to get this all for free. I am 71 years old but still care about my skin and my appearance and you my dear are a wealth of wonderful advice! Thank you so so much for all your videos, I love them!
Great video Dr. D. You do a wonderful job of explaining things in layman terms! I had major telangiectiasias on my checks due to growing up in Texas in the 70s/80s and sun "bathing" (omg) with no sun protection :( I've had 4/5 V-Beams over the last couple of years and they have helped my skin so, so much. I currently get one every 6 months, or so, to keep them at bay. My Darmouth-Hitchcock derm does the procedure and a V-Beam rep sits in an office outside to check/adjust the machine after every appointment throughout her cosmetic-procedure day. While I adore my derm I learn so much more from you for the time you graciously spend education all of us. Thank you! Last night I was "reminding" (aka telling ;) my husband to do something skincare wise, and he called me "a Dr. Dray's protege!" I told him he could call me his Dr. J! :) lol.
Everyone reacts differently, but yes, I found it very painful. It also took me a full 5-6 days for swelling to go down (I puffed up like a blowfish:) after my initial treatment. For me it was all worth the temporary pain and down time which is why I continue to get V-beams! They have made an amazing impact in the appearance of my skin. fyi- The pain has decreased with each treatment and the downtime is now minimal (a day/2 .)
Great video. I get these on my face (and legs too). I would absolutely love more videos on rosacea!!!! I went to a dermatologist recently, asked her about drugs for rosacea, and she didn't mention three drugs you've mentioned in your videos! I don't seem to be triggered by hot beverages or workouts -- but spicy foods and fragrance in the environment are HUGE. I'm reactive to chemical sunscreens, Vit. C, cyclopentosiloxane and castor oil as well. Those are the triggers I avoid.
I 'm the queen of this scourge, broken capillaries and rosecea. My condition is congenital my paternal grandmother and sisters all had it, sometimes I look like I have a severe sunburn. So far I try products to combat redness ( it cosmetics carry a few) but I will speak to my GP to recommend a dermatologist for other options. Thank you, I enjoy your content immensely 😁 be well.
I was left with blood vessels all over my cheeks right after giving birth to my eldest son. It has been there ever since, 30+ years later. They are the Bain of my life. Xx
Dear Dr Dray, Great and helpful information on broken capillaries. If fall in the "getting old" group. UGH... My consealer does a good job on hiding them but I like I'll see my dermatologist to remove them permanently. Have a great weekend. ~Joanna♡
Sherrie561.....Hi Sherri, The consealer I use now is: FIT me!...#20 Sand Sable by Maybelline New York. I tried other brands but this has worked very well for my broken capillaries, dark circles & 2 sun spots. The other's I tried were more high-end and more expensive but I switched my foundation & consealer from Estee Lauder to Maybelline FIT me # 120 foundation and loved it and the consealer named above and thought why pay these higher prices when Maybelline foundation & consealer works great and is less expensive. Hope this helps. ~Joanna♡
Joanna Ledbetter I just found the maybelline fit me dewy and I love it!! It’s great on my 52 yr old skin!😊it Has replaced my other expensive foundation too! Thx for the recommendation on the concealer will try that nxt!
I am happy to have found your channel. Where I live it is impossible to get an appt. with a dermatologist. Most of them are totally booked with skin cancer patients! I have been wondering about many of the topics you make videos on. I am happy to have found your channel and appreciate the time you take to share all this information!
I'm really grateful for how you explain things and your truthful comments about certain products. THe fact you have a likeable presence makes it even better. :)
Thanks for your explanations! I have rosacea and I had the laser treatment around my nose and it worked perfect the first time, the treatment cost $100 here in GA. They did start to come back about 6 mos later. Just wanted to share my laser experience if others were wondering. It's didn't hurt and there was no down time. I have very sensitive skin so I was worried about pain and swelling or additional redness, but none.
Great video yet again!! As an aside, I received the Nivea sun protect water gel for Christmas and used it for the first time yesterday... omg it might be the best thing ever. I’ve heard you say that the best sunscreen is one that you’ll use, and while I do use sunscreen, it’s rarely a good experience. This was a good experience. I couldn’t wait to put it on again today! Thanks for the recs 😊
Hi Dr Dray, love your channel, I’ve recently purchased the Hada Labo cleansing oil, I have rosacea and goodness it’s helped smooth and calm the skin so much I didn’t expect it to! I’ve also used it with Klairs blue calming cream and their toner for redness I turned to Korean and Japanese skincare more after your videos so thank you so much they have been the best products that have helped, I’m in the UK so we can’t get the many drugstore things you have mentioned but I am very with Hada Labo -thank you for all your hard work you put in to helping us with our skincare concerns you’re wonderful - love to you and your mom 💕💕
I have had multiple IPLs through the years, and the newest version of the v-beam once... all to no avail. I have never been able to totally get rid of them, and the slight improvement of any procedure is very short-lived. I've just learned to accept them. (At least now I know how to pronounce "telangiectasia.")
Hello Dr. Dray! This video is just what I needed since i'm dealing with this issue. You would be proud of me, i scheduled an appointment for next Tuesday, i'll be seeing a dermatologist for the first time in my life. Wish me luck! Have a good weekend!
@@mirafarah2366 yes, i did. I had the app with the dermatologist (copay $35), then I had IPL with a nurse practioner. She removed about 5 smallish broken capillaries and also targeted 2 sun spots. It felt like a rubber band hitting the skin. The areas targeted got dark and formed a scab (they said not to pick at it, let it fall by itself). Cost of the procedure was $90 (state Kentucky). 2 years later, I can see the capillaries did not return and were permanently removed. The two sunspots are lighter but are not gone completely (even though I am diligent with sun protection). I am very happy I had this done. Best of luck if you are considering the same.
Loved this video. Thank you! Thanks for saving me money and giving me a common sense approach to skin care. "The fewer products on the face the better." Always, always sunscreen!
Have Broken Capillaries on Side of nose and chin . I’m prone to allergies . I recall now researching Vascular lasers . My upper legs look like a road map of spider veins . The Vascular laser is not easy to find I called around . Thanks so much for reminding me . I once had a doctor try a different laser and left a nasty indentation in my nose .
PSA for those who have these, I had some really ugly ones under the nostrils and along the labial folds (outside of nose to outer corners of mouth), and also had brown spots. Both, I was told, were due to sun damage (SoCal native). I went to a dermatologist, paid about $400 for one “V-beam” treatment (I think it was also called an IPL treatment). I was told I would need 4 or 5 treatments, and that it might not work on the blood vessels. That was too much money for me. It’s been 10 years, the ugly broken blood vessels never came back. SOME of the brown spots returned, only lighter. I did learn my lesson and now take care of my skin, including sunscreen. Hope this helps if you’re considering doing it. Feel free to ask me questions.
Dr Dray, I absolutely love watching your videos! I have learned so much in just one week and my skin is already looking better from your recommendations. Simplified my skincare routine, no more fragrant products, and switched from tretnoin to adapalene because I have rosacea and I think it was just too much irritation. A lot of my redness is already gone! You are so beautiful and inspiring, a breath of fresh air! Thank you and may many blessings be showered upon you. ☔️
Dr. Dray you have such an excellent way of explaining things. I wish I was your resident. So glad to know that you have plans on doing more videos on Rosacea. I have the P&P type and will love to hear more on that. ‘Garden of eden’ and ‘funeral of the clotted capillaries’ !!!😂😂. That was so funny. Thank you so much for everything! Have a great weekend!! 😘
Another excellent video Andrea! My 31 years old daughter had a couple of capillaries treated with a laser by our dermatologist and it worked great. They haven't come back and her skin looks very nice. For my mature skin, I'd have to have so many spots treated I just use a really good cosmetic concealer and call it a day. lol Oh if I could only go back and wear sunscreen...but better late than never. Texas is a great place to live, sunny skies, but after years of sun damage, now sunscreen is my best friend. :) xo xo
You are so charming! Thank you for this video 5 years ago when I was 20 I started to notice a lot of skin changes. I went from dry skin to super oily and my pores on my cheeks became visibly noticeable, but the thing that bothers me the most is the broken capillaries on the apple of my cheeks. They itch and are not aesthetically pleasing. I don’t wear face makeup and never really have. I did use to tan a lot indoors and so that probably did a number on my skin. Anyways sorry for the novel, I am happy I came upon your channel. 😊
My 40 yrs of dealing with crappy skin consists of cystic acne, two courses of accutane, redness, blotchiness, etc. Now, at 55, I have skin aging changes in addition to the redness/blotchiness that I always attributed to the constant topicals I was applying in desperate attempts to have skin like everyone else seemed to effortlessly have. This video is chock full of information, I hope to be able to find some solution to my face/skin issues.
Thank you so very much!! Mine are quite prominent and have really affected my self-esteem, especially now being 49 and the changes that come with menopause/post-menopause. You're so beautiful and so incredibly intelligent. You go in depth and I really love watching you! Thank you for taking your time to educate us . You're amazing!!!! Hugs!!!
The RX topicals for flushing/rosacea have such a bad rebound when they wear off and take at least an hour to work. I feel from my experience in derm it's like most that complain about it has lead me to believe, "nope, no more samples you can't put a bandaid on a gunshot wound". I think the V Beam, Exel V or the IPL with the 560 filter for Rosacea is a nice way to help with reds (more IPL with 560) and or telang! Like you mentioned most all of this! Great video....
You are such a great teacher. I have been helped with several problems by your great information. Thanks so much for your help. Hardly a day goes by that I don't watch you!!
Hyfrecation or electro dessication is the cheapest and most elegant way to remove capillaries and other skin irregularities. Names of devices include Thermoclear, Lam Probe, skin Classic and others. Many estheticians get trained in this and offer it to their clients. Easy and inexpensive, healing easier than with lasers, which tend to use too much power for this tiny target.
Extreme hot water overtime I.e. a hot shower will compromise them as well. The hottest part of the water is at the shower head and consequently our face is right at that hot water. Washing our face and hair in cooler water rather than boiling hot, so to speak, will help to cool those blood vessels down as well. It’s an over time thing. Then ending the shower with hot water on our body just for enjoyment of a hot shower will be okay because it’s not the steam more so the hot water flow that will damage the skin on our face. You’re human and love the hot water so don’t deprive yourself that enjoyment, Just routine shifts is all :).
Thank you. I've had on an ongoing issue with this "problem" and every year I visit my dermatologist and have him zap them with some electrical gadget that essentially cauterizes them, and they clear out quick nicely (not a laser).
You are absolutely right Dr. Dray. When I used Mirvaso for Rosacea, it did take the redness away but only to return 6 hours later and my face was very flushed. Needless to say, I stopped using it. Like you said, I find that laser treatments work well. On a stubborn capillary under my nose, it took a couple of times to completely get rid of it, but as of yet, it has not returned and it's been about a year. I didn't go crazy with the laser treatments. I went twice one year and now seem to want a follow up treatment yearly. I also think that once you start going to the same doctor, they are willing to give you a little more treatment for less of a price. That has been my experience anyway. Thank you for all the great information. You are very thorough.
It's crazy to think how common this is. I mean a lot of people have these. Can't believe humans are built like this where this occurs so often. Great Video!!!
Another extremely helpful video. I love the way you explain how laser treats broken capillaries. You're quite eloquent. You look ethereal in your profile pic. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
11:29 😂🤣 You just made my day! I think there isn't a single video of Dr. Dray in which she doesn't make me LOL at some point. I genuinely love this UA-cam channel.
I get my local beautician to use the Electrolysis Machine. It kinda hurts in some areas and you wouldn’t want to do the whole face but works great for the odd spider vein and for around the nose area. I found the results last depending on how thorough the beautician is and how high the machine is turned up. Last had mine done 4yrs ago and still none have return...which they will. It’s just one of those on going things, especially as you get older. However, this is a super CHEAP alternative to laser treatment.
Terrible hay fever and I have a big one on my nose and a few on my cheeks. My mother had them too. Yes. I noticed using topical skin creams daily was causing blotchiness. I use the AHA with copper in it? My daughter works in a "Lather" store and brought me samples. I use it every other day and it's been amazing.
I’m 21 and I had these since 18. I’m currently thinking of getting a laser treatment or IPL treatment. But I’m scared of going wrong with lasers on the face
Now I am going to call a dermatologist. I have the vessels all over my cheeks but they do get hot, and burning. I do use SPF 30 daily. I try to use only sensitive products. Now I think it's more than cosmetic. Thanks DR. Dray
My dermatologist said my broken capillaries on my cheeks (I mean both cheeks solid red w/ them) is from rosacea but I've never had any of the bumps associated w/ rosacea. She recommended laser which insurance doesn't cover at around 1,800 dollars (what's poor folks supposed to do?) plus it is not available in the dermatologist office but only at a cosmetic laser place in the town. I don't want someone without a medical degree pointing a laser at my face. I know that the areas do sting. I don't think it's rosacea, I think I had too many sunburns on my poor fair skin before people knew to tell us to always wear sunscreen. Wear sunscreen people!
I would check around with other derms and get a better price. I was paying about $200 per session overseas so I would think it would be cheaper here. I didnt have the bumps all over my face. If you are curious I have a video on my rosacea where I talk about some things that tipped me off and helped me figure out what was going on with my face.
Miki Cham I did mine at a medical spa instead of at the Derm. It was about 200 a session and I had great results. I did 6 total but I was satisfied after 3. Now I just do spot treatments about every year or so.
Thank you so much for the info. Maybe I need to see if I can find a cheaper facility. I understand it's cosmetic and insurance doesn't cover it but it makes me absolutely miserable. If I don't cover up completely w/ heavy duty foundation it never fails someone will ask what's wrong w/ my face or if I got hit in the face with something.
I'm learning so much from watching your videos. The heat and sun here in FL is what I believe causes the ones I have. I also get very flushed in the heat or if I drink red wine.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge... I live in south Italy, the winter is quite cold down here, do you think an SPF 15 is it enough for this season or is it useless? Thanks again...
Dr. Dray, I'm sure that you would've mentioned something if there were one, but is there anything we can do for existing capillaries on our face/body that isn't laser treatments? Either way, this was informative and helpful, though I do wish I had had this info when I was a teenager who tanned daily (sometimes twice daily 😑) lol at least we have your guidance now!
Hi dr. Andrea! You are a genius and your information has honestly made my skin immensely soft and smooth. Loving the tip on leaving the skin wet and minimal products! I put your minimal skincare use to the test during the last month. I did it because absolutely nothing in the expensive “garden of eden” would control my skin from flaking from Tretinoin. By the way, my dermatologist is close to my age of 65, and he says we all get “barnacles” as we age and that he is not concerned unless it’s a health issue. I knew flaking occurs from my use of Tretinoin, but I dislike it sooooo much. I use gentle hydrating cleanser, leave the water on my skin and apply timeless hyaluronic acid and then IT Cosmetics Confidence In A Cream, followed by tinted spf 50 sunscreen. That’s it, and I thank you so very much!!!💕
@@mirafarah2366 it's been 10 years, it was 5 hundred, then, after 3 years I got a cheaper procedure done , like a mild version. I'm thinking I may do it again this fall, need to stay out of the sun. TOTALLY worth it! It took years off my skin, veins, coloring, and acne. I highly recommend it, plan to stay home a few days, its ugly for a little while. Do it!
Julie Anderson oh thank you so much for answering, happy it worked for you cuz i heard a lot of negative reviews mostly everyone on the internet left a negative comment about laser for broken capillaries. I have small ones on one cheek and on my nostrils and i just noticed a new blue one near my mouth. So I’m thinking about doing it.
LOVE your videos! Such great advice you give that can help so many people!! Thank you very much! My question is, and forgive me if you’ve already discussed this, do think that arnica, taken orally or applied locally, can help prevent or decrease bruising? Thank you again!!
There's alot more info on this subject that she didnt address in this video regarding Mirvaso. Please see your Dermatologist In Person before you make any final decisions about this product. There are alot of facts & benefits that are not addressed in this video. I further explain myself if u want to read my comment directly to Dr Dray in the thread under this video.
One thing that has really helped me, besides yearly laser treatments, is to stay away from the hot chiles, peppers, and the hot and spicy foods, that I so love!
It is worth getting evaluated, not by dermatologist but vasular specialist. Can be treated simarly with laser. Generally blood flow working against gravity and after many years not doing so good a job. Constipation exacerbates. Lack of exercise, standing for long periods, overweight all contributing factors, even height is factor (tall people have further for blood to return to heart). If having edema for sure get checked, compression stockings while recommended mask true issue.
Since starting the Korean 10 Step program, the capillaries on my cheeks have been diminishing. I had no expectations of that happening, as that wasn't the reason for the change in my face care regime. One day, about two months in, I "just" noticed the change. In addition to the Korean products, some contain ceramide, I have been using a retinoid, rosehip seed oil, Buffet, and hyaluronic acid serum from The Ordinary. Two to three times a week, I use CeraVe Moisturizing Cream as a night cream. On a side note, My husband says pretty soon people will think I'm his daughter and I'll have to get my D.L. picture retaken. lol
IPL treatments are the only thing that has helped me w Rosacea and broken capillaries. I buy them on Groupon. Make sure the provider has proper laser training.
Very informative video. Dr. Dray I have a few capillaries and just recently purchased Avene Antirougeurs Fort Relief Concentrate on a recommendation from Sharon Capehart's channel. I was amazed at how well it works. I have only used it twice, but it seems to be working. It is expensive everywhere except Walmart, it was have price , I ordered online and picked up in the store. Blessings to you from Spring.
how to get rid of them skip and go to 13:57
Joy v only to find out, nothing you can do yourself. A cosmetic procedure with a vascular laser.
Gosh, thank you. Like get to it already!
what ever procedures you undergo the blood vessels resurface after a short while
April Cooke I had IPL (intense pulsed light) done quite a few times. I had numbing cream put on but I'm not going to lie, it hurt like hell and I have a high pain threshold. You offered no solution for 14 minutes. Then you tell us to go to a surgeon. Terrific. Thanks.
The first treatment she suggested was a laser treatment. The V-Beam. No need for a surgeon.
I would love for you to do a myth buster video. It would be good to know what to leave out and what is needed. I am thinking bogus spa treatments and home treatments such as all those rough scrubs.

I can't believe a Dermatologist said giving up caffeine is a crime...FINALLY someone understands caffeine consumption helps society stay civilized...
lol
Couldn't agree more! I appreciate people like YOU
Preach it 🙌
I committed a crime🤫

I got my first capillaries on my cheeks when I was pregnant with my first child when I was 21. Now I know why I got them. Love my morning coffee. Our immune system is awesome! Always enjoy your videos. Many blessings..MaryEllen
Thanks Ms Mary Ellen :)
I do enjoy Dr. Dray!! She shares such valuable information with us, Sneekd!!
Ok
MaryEllen After 60 I like to use cold pressed avocado oil on my skin at night it helps maintain a plump completion as well xoxo
This helped me understand the cumulative impact of redness-inducing activities, and the need to minimize. Thank you!
Doc has the glowiest skin. I love this channel. So informative. And I tend to believe her bc dang, look at that skin!
i was stupid in my younger days and exfoliated everyday. now i’m suffering the consequences 😬

Hi there! What’s the simple skin care routine??? :)
'Dont go giving up coffee - the world doesnt need that kind of crime' :D love it
:)
😂 👌🏽
😂I hear ya🤣
I stopped drinking hot coffee because of my face flushing bright red, switched to iced coffee. Works a lot.
After going through a natural child birth, I got a ton of them in my cheeks and nose from pushing too hard. My eyes were bloodshot for a few days too but the ones on my face never went away. Thank you for this.
Yes! Rosacea q&a! I can’t wait! Can’t get enough of your skin care info! 🤙🏻❤️

Great topic! I have many broken capillaries on my face from vomiting excessively during pregnancies. Love your subtle humour!

Thank you for watching :)
J! :) lol.
sunscreen the hubs up!
after watching this video, I am considering a V-beam laser tx. Is it painful?
Everyone reacts differently, but yes, I found it very painful. It also took me a full 5-6 days for swelling to go down (I puffed up like a blowfish:) after my initial treatment. For me it was all worth the temporary pain and down time which is why I continue to get V-beams! They have made an amazing impact in the appearance of my skin. fyi- The pain has decreased with each treatment and the downtime is now minimal (a day/2 .)
@@jr-pr9lwCan I ask how much it was?
@@dapperdoggy I believe it was around 700 to 800 but that was several years ago. Whatever the price it is so well worth it!
I love Dr Dray! Thank you for sharing your knowledge about these annoying little veins and the treatments available, what works, what doesn't etc.
Ipl has so helped my broken capillaries,as well as spf and avoiding fragrance in sunscreen, has all helped my rosacea

I have some of these on my nose. Your video helped put my mind at ease as far as next steps I can take. Thanks for creating this content 😊
~Joanna♡
Joanna Ledbetter what concealer do you use?
Happy Friday Ms Joanna :)
Sherrie561.....Hi Sherri, The consealer I use now is:
FIT me!...#20 Sand Sable by Maybelline New York. ~Joanna♡
I just started using Maybelline Matte and Poreless! I will pick up the concealer today and see how it goes. Thank you!!
Joanna Ledbetter I just found the maybelline fit me dewy and I love it!! It’s great on my 52 yr old skin!😊it Has replaced my other expensive foundation too! Thx for the recommendation on the concealer will try that nxt!
Dr Dray: Videos that we could actually use!
I am happy to have found your channel. Where I live it is impossible to get an appt. with a dermatologist. Most of them are totally booked with skin cancer patients! I have been wondering about many of the topics you make videos on. I am happy to have found your channel and appreciate the time you take to share all this information!
Yes, we stay pretty busy with the skin cancers
I'm really grateful for how you explain things and your truthful comments about certain products. THe fact you have a likeable presence makes it even better. :)
Live in a hermetically sealed box. Got it!
I hit the trifecta - seasonal allergies, sun damage, and I am older. LOL, Hope you and your mother have a wonderful weekend.
wise, not old
Thanks for your explanations!
Thanks for sharing this Ms Melanie :)
Thanks :) I really enjoy that one
Rosacea is a tricky thing to deal with for sure.
Have a good weekend!
so happy to hear this!
How was it? Did you get them removed?
Thanks!
Would you recommend buying an LED face mask instead of lazering the vessels off?
So you just had one treatment of vbeam and it worked for you?
Yes, I had one visit, and a couple of brown spots returned, but lighter, and no broken capillaries. That was 10 years ago.
I was just thinking about this the other day. I don't have them yet but a lot of my girls that I watch on YT do that are 50s and 60s

I have tons in my 20s .... but I have rosacea
:)
:) xo xo
Even the sun is bigger in TX, lol
I also rely on sunscreen for brown spots and wondered what sunscreen you may have found to be better.
I'm pretty sure my little blood vessels are from intensely digging up in my nose holes!
Dr. Day What is your recommendation for getting the capillaries removed? I got lost in this video!
Tks for all the explanations. Was wondering if there was anything I could do for them. Best wishes to you.
:)
What did you do to the broken capillaries? Did you get them removed or are you accepting them?
I think squeezing a small black head on the top of my cheek bone caused my broken capillaries on 1 side of my face. A mistake I won't make again.
That’s exactly what I did a few hours ago😭🥺
My 40 yrs of dealing with crappy skin consists of cystic acne, two courses of accutane, redness, blotchiness, etc. Now, at 55, I have skin aging changes in addition to the redness/blotchiness that I always attributed to the constant topicals I was applying in desperate attempts to have skin like everyone else seemed to effortlessly have. This video is chock full of information, I hope to be able to find some solution to my face/skin issues.
I am glad to hear this was helpful Ms Linda. Thank you for sharing here in the comments...skin disease is very frustrating to cope with.
Yes, mine was triggered by Rosacea! Great Video Andrea!
Thanks :)
Any update
Thank you so very much!! Mine are quite prominent and have really affected my self-esteem, especially now being 49 and the changes that come with menopause/post-menopause. You're so beautiful and so incredibly intelligent. You go in depth and I really love watching you! Thank you for taking your time to educate us . You're amazing!!!! Hugs!!!
Thank you :)
Thanks!
red LED light face mask - want is your take for use to improve skin overall?
Hyfrecation or electro dessication is the cheapest and most elegant way to remove capillaries and other skin irregularities. Names of devices include Thermoclear, Lam Probe, skin Classic and others. Many estheticians get trained in this and offer it to their clients. Easy and inexpensive, healing easier than with lasers, which tend to use too much power for this tiny target.
I love you, you really take time in explaining things! I wish I had you as my doctor.
PS: you're glowing !
Happy Saturday :)
Can you make a video on discoloration of the face and uneven skin tone. I enjoyed this video as well! Thank you Dr. Dray!

I had my many telangectasias on my face removed by ipl and couldn't be happier! It was worth every penny!!!
Glad to hear Ms Kimberly
Thank you. I've had on an ongoing issue with this "problem" and every year I visit my dermatologist and have him zap them with some electrical gadget that essentially cauterizes them, and they clear out quick nicely (not a laser).
the electrocautery can help, yes :)
There you go-what she said.
I have had 2 treatments with the Pulse Dye Laser. I go for my 3rd in April. It has really helped me.
:)
How much are these treatments in US?
I wonder if i can get an ipl treatment.. the broken capillaries on my face rlly bother me a lot. I'm 16 tho
I developed these in my 50's and had no idea why. Thanks so much!!
they are frustrating
I made caulioats for dinner and also cooked a pot of lentils. : ) A Dr. Dray inspired day
:)
caulioats? is this a typo or is it to be cauliflower cooked with oats?
Yeah it isn't great in that regard. Hope you are having a nice weekend Ms Debbie
Can't.stop.watching! Dr. Dray I have eczema / Atopic dermatitis, what do I use if I get a facial rash to avoid putting cortisone on my face?
It's crazy to think how common this is. I mean a lot of people have these. Can't believe humans are built like this where this occurs so often. Great Video!!!

It’s just one of those on going things,
especially as you get older. However, this is a super CHEAP alternative to laser treatment.
Yes I had the same done bout 15 years ago for the exact issue on my upper cheeks , just reappeared last summer .
Such a great video!! I look forward to all of your q and a’s. They are always so informative.
thanks!
OMG it's just been confirmed by the doctor!! I am turning into a potato!
:)
Usually someone has already asked the questions I have-thanks Dr Dray and fans!

i'm 18 and have had these since i was like 16 😭
Sanam Rafiq same ughhh
I’m 21 and I had these since 18. I’m currently thinking of getting a laser treatment or IPL treatment. But I’m scared of going wrong with lasers on the face
Now I am going to call a dermatologist. I have the vessels all over my cheeks but they do get hot, and burning.
I do use SPF 30 daily. I try to use only sensitive products. Now I think it's more than cosmetic. Thanks DR. Dray
Do they make your face feel flush and warm like your overheating? Jw
It goes from warm flush to hot and red. Mostly at night. But if I exercise or drink it gets that way too
My dermatologist said my broken capillaries on my cheeks (I mean both cheeks solid red w/ them) is from rosacea but I've never had any of the bumps associated w/ rosacea. Wear sunscreen people!
not all rosacea has the bumps
I would check around with other derms and get a better price. I was paying about $200 per session overseas so I would think it would be cheaper here.
I didnt have the bumps all over my face.
If you are curious I have a video on my rosacea where I talk about some things that tipped me off and helped me figure out what was going on with my face.
Thank you so much!! I will check it out!
Are you wearing any makeup? Your skin looks great.
I'm learning so much from watching your videos. The heat and sun here in FL is what I believe causes the ones I have. I also get very flushed in the heat or if I drink red wine.
the wine flush can be intense
If I drink alcohol, my left upper arm gets "red hot" to the touch. Crazy. Blessings from Texas.
I have that kind of skin too and alcohol makes it worse
That’s it, and I thank you so very much!!!💕
I have some baby barnacles....they are like girl scout badges, lol!
Lazering worked great on the spiderveins and cleared my acne and made me look younger
Did the spider veins come back after the laser procedure? Was it expensive?
@@mirafarah2366 it's been 10 years, it was 5 hundred, then, after 3 years I got a cheaper procedure done , like a mild version. I'm thinking I may do it again this fall, need to stay out of the sun. So I’m thinking about doing it.

they can make it worse for sure

I gave up all grains and all sugar and my rosacea cleared up. It's a relief. But I do have some broken blood vessels on my nose.
Thanks for the great info. Could you share your thoughts on causes and treatment of leg spider veins?
On a side note, My husband says pretty soon people will think I'm his daughter and I'll have to get my D.L. picture retaken. lol
:)
Wich k-beauty products you use? Thanks
