Same. I use mods on pc for hair, they've got really good options. Also for me 2 and me 3 mods for better looking armor, I especially love the asari commando armor and Kasumi's armor. Ashley's armor and casuals look really good as well.
Logically in game, that'd only work in ME 2. Military regs and all that when Shep's Alliance in 1 and 3. Even femShep only has shoulder length hair at most for the same reason.
@Sérgio Sérgio however female Shepard is also military and she has the option, if short hair would have a pragmatical reason like now, for avoid parasites or higienic she should not have that option, this game is so far in the future that military uniform rules must be unisex, i mean... a few countries now allow to have long hair in men, in 2.187 i supposse a few more will XD

Yeah, sadly. I expected something a little better. Still, being able to have the same Custom Shep over the three games is nice, because in all of my playthroughs I dreaded the transition to ME3 because it always turned Shepard into a different person. So annoying. So at least that is over now.

Natural redhead was over by ME3 anyway. Always had the nice copper-red but when importing my Shepard to ME3 it was more like a strawberry blonde, so I had to make due with the dark red.

Yeah, the DAI character creator was fucking awesome. It was the first game with character creator, where i made the character that looks exactly what i wanted at first take. In original mass effect it took hours to make a "normal" custom shepard

i was really hoping to see the default Jane hair as an option for your own character. I am so disappointed, I would have died happy with just that one change. And really, it was no effort to include it since the default fem character already has it

Like Sigrid mentioned, go to the squad menu and it’s in the upper left. I did the same thing, found it and immediately wrote it down so I don’t have to guess my characters look when I create a new one.

the male hair and facial hairstyles are still an embarrassment hell even Andromedas and Dragon age Inquisitions are just terrible Bioware needs to invest in some better artistic talent because there are games way older then mass effect that had way better looking hairstyles.

Right. So when they said new hairs what they meant was new hairs for women and black men. Literally the only reason to get this over playing a modded version was for the better character creator in ME1 and 2 and it's still complete shit for a custom caucasian male.
Not really and they even specified the hair was for black characters as the majority of the hair styles we see here can work for whites. Personally, I wish I could use femshep's hairstyle, with the badass bangs. But it's easy to make a white dude in this game. I did that last time and he turned out great but now I can make a cool looking Latino.

Male players mostly use default Shep because the custom male sheps are impossible to make look good without mods. Whereas with femshep it’s an uphill battle but it IS possible.
@@joshualuke7003 The default maleshep would probably still be more popular because it's been used in cover art and most marketing for the original trilogy, and it's a unique face since they modelled it on a real person. Also most players are casual players that won't want to "waste" time in the character creator, that's why they include the default/quick start options in the first place.

But I'm guessing that it was less if you're only talking about maleshep, since femshep didn't have a default. The same stats said 65% played as soldier, ~50% didn't import from ME1, & ~50% didn't finish the game.
In an RPG, customization/choice is more important than realism IMO. Especially since the game isn't very realistic in any other regard, you're fighting alien in space for goodness sake

Just import, same as the originals :) when you start ME2, you should have the option to just import. Same with ME3

Mostly all the hairstyles in LE are basically the ME3 hairstyles apart from the new ones.
