You certainly do! I didn’t get around to playing these games until a few years ago and I immediately regretted not playing them sooner. The story is incredible, the choices you make actually matter (like, a lot), and all of the characters are really fleshed out and memorable. Usually in games, I’ll really like a few favorite characters, but I’ll only have a strong emotional connection with one or two (at most), in this trilogy, I have a deep emotional connection with nearly all of them (including the side characters). They are all well rounded characters that are all lovable in their own unique way, and the connections you build with them stick with you years after you play.
Despite feeling a bit older control wise, you won't be disappointed (that applies to ME1 only, 2-3 play much smoother). My favorite game series of all time for damned good reasons.
Good for you, just in case you know who Wrex is or curious about him and planning to make a 1 to 3 walkthrough you might want to check out the decision-consequence walkthroughs a decision about Wrex affects ME 2 and ME 3 as well. Unpopular opinion, but hear me out: I recommend that you Cheat in these three games. Waaaait hear me out. I mean only maxing out Paragon AND Renegade stats to max. This way you can truly play Shepard as you wish, rather than being either a boy scout or a ruthless prick. You could normally do both, but it's likely you'll end up with a build that prioritizes either one of the two, locking up a lot of choices. Cheating the alignment really opens you to a more realistic moral standing. Being good when you wanna be good and punish when you feel the situation requires you to punish. Otherwise you're forced to make choices you don't want to make. @Azzir I’m in the same boat I have played three ages ago and I did like it, but I’m not sure for me personally this would be worth it, maybe wait for a sale, I mean I have gamepass if I reallly wanted to play these games I can at anytime, not remastered but I still have a ps2 hooked up I’m not turned off by dated graphics and controls, i just don’t really play games for the story and that’s the biggest appeal of these games especially the first
It's October 2024. My daughter is finally old enough to play ME. I got her the Legendary Edition. How I envy her to be able to experience the game for the first time. Remind me back to January 2008 when I received ME on my birthday. Time flies.
The fact that I got all parts as they were originally released and played through all of them and loved them and now I have 12 and 8 year old sons who are excited for this, only exudes a type of happiness that true gamers who have been lucky enough to pass on the joy of gaming can understand.
2007 will forever go down as one of the best years in gaming for storytelling. Getting to replay this with better visuals will be an amazing experience.
@@Spankmepink It absolutely is lol. RPG are about the player assuming the characters roles within a narrative. Gameplay wise requires dialogue branching, alternative choice with different outcomes, and actions succeed or fail through multiple games (or within one) according to a set of rules. RPG doesn't mean just Swords and Dragons lol. If we really wanna nitpick, it's an Action-RPG.
This is a top 5 game series for me. I absolutely loved Mass Effect. I was legitimately sad when it was over. This is the only game series where I wish I could wipe my memory and play again
I remember simping so hard for Tali that I went out and bought ME2 again because I found out you can't romance her in ME3 if you didn't have the save files of 2.
I bought the ME1 & 2 partially for the same reason. (anyone who's played 3 would want to buy the other two games, regardless of whether they like Tali or not)
Let us know your impressions. I came into ME right before the 3rd one dropped and was blown away by the story. I can only imagine what playing the first one with updated graphics will be like
You don't need luck where you're going, you just need the right crew, and the best equipment. Your only trouble will be figuring out who you want to romance, but have no fear you're on the right site; there's plenty of videos to help you along...the problem is you only get to hookup with one person *le sigh*.
Mass effect and Dragon Age will always be two of my favorite games ever. I hope Bioware will also make a legendary edition of Dragon Age one day. Or at least a remake/remastered of Origins and 2.
As a snubby wannabe critic, ME2 and ABZU are the ONLY games I've ever personally given a 10. GoW PS4 is still my favorite game, but those 2 are just Perfection.
@@bradh3292 well I played mass effect one about two years after it came out, so the graphics were acceptable. So honestly I think the price of admission is just worth re-doing mass effect one. But just the fact that now I can play two and three on a remastered and re-supported platform is definitely a bonus
@@the8thman I was so disappointed it wasn't on Epic for free, I actually bought it for a friend who'd never played them. Between this series and Dragon Age, I really don't think anyone did it better than old Bioware.

Extra points for putting that sequence in ME1 at the end of the video, the build up of the music and the way it starts soaring as you discover the Citadel behind the clouds is one my most memorable moments in video games and always give me the chills. It's so good to be back 😢

Good for you, just in case you know who Wrex is or curious about him and planning to make a 1 to 3 walkthrough you might want to check out the decision-consequence walkthroughs a decision about Wrex affects ME 2 and ME 3 as well. Just in case pretty sure this is not a spoiler but a heads up. I enever knew this when I was playing hope you enjoy the 1st where it all began ^^.
Like you encounter the most disgusting villain ever, but don't have enough Renegade points to tell him to eff himself, and stuff like that lol
@@TheDorianTube Bioware said they made the morality checks easier in 2 so you didn't have to play one way
@Azzir I’m in the same boat I have played three ages ago and I did like it, but I’m not sure for me personally this would be worth it, maybe wait for a sale, I mean I have gamepass if I reallly wanted to play these games I can at anytime, not remastered but I still have a ps2 hooked up I’m not turned off by dated graphics and controls, i just don’t really play games for the story and that’s the biggest appeal of these games especially the first
It's October 2024. My daughter is finally old enough to play ME. I got her the Legendary Edition. How I envy her to be able to experience the game for the first time. Remind me back to January 2008 when I received ME on my birthday. Time flies.
Nearly a decade later, who's love is still true blue?
The true blue love or the true white butt love

She's the only real choice.
Doctor Liara T'soni for life!
Liara... and I was fem shep..
I'm excited. This will be the first time I played the Mass Effect series.
I envy you, since you're in for a such a good ride. I wish I could forget them so I can relive them again for the first time.
Same. Cautiously optimistic.
im so jealous
If you like Sci fi at all this will be the best Sci fi game you've played.
You’re going to love it!
The fact that I got all parts as they were originally released and played through all of them and loved them and now I have 12 and 8 year old sons who are excited for this, only exudes a type of happiness that true gamers who have been lucky enough to pass on the joy of gaming can understand.
This is just beautiful
Did you forget about the sex? Lol my sons will not be playing these.
@@StrongArmEntertainment L
PlayStation player here, so this will be my first time playing the whole series.. very very excited!
Same on both!
Have fun! Friendly reminder: don't rush through the main storyline (;
Let us know how you get on. By far one of the most immersive games. Enjoy :)
You're in for one hell of a ride my friend. I envy you so much. Wish I could play it for the first time again.
Me too, started for the first time today
2007 will forever go down as one of the best years in gaming for storytelling. Getting to replay this with better visuals will be an amazing experience.
Now if they could have added some animation when enemies are shot
give me back my 2007
Bioshock...yep
Halo 3
Assassin's Creed 1
It was never a question of if I was going to buy the game, but rather, a question of whether Gameranx likes the game.
FACTS!!!
My #1 RPG of all time, so happy they did this
Its not a RPG
really bad taste
You apparently have never played fallout new vegas
@@Spankmepink nice bait
@@Spankmepink It absolutely is lol. RPG are about the player assuming the characters roles within a narrative. Gameplay wise requires dialogue branching, alternative choice with different outcomes, and actions succeed or fail through multiple games (or within one) according to a set of rules. RPG doesn't mean just Swords and Dragons lol. If we really wanna nitpick, it's an Action-RPG.
This is a top 5 game series for me. I absolutely loved Mass Effect. I was legitimately sad when it was over. This is the only game series where I wish I could wipe my memory and play again
The good thing is that your memory fades as you get older so you'll get your chance.
When ME4 eventually releases you can come back for a refresher to prep lol
The amount of new Rule-34 art that this is going to inspire will itself be legendary.
The mods too
There honestly isn't enough as is...I mean um, yeah I love the trilogy 😅

Tali fo life
I found Liara's romance a bit boring when I did that one. Tali was the best one for me.

I’ve never played mass effect but i’m pretty hyped to finally see what all the fuss was about
Let us know your impressions. I came into ME right before the 3rd one dropped and was blown away by the story. I can only imagine what playing the first one with updated graphics will be like

Good luck, you're gonna love it. Mostly.
You don't need luck where you're going, you just need the right crew, and the best equipment. Your only trouble will be figuring out who you want to romance, but have no fear you're on the right site; there's plenty of videos to help you along...the problem is you only get to hookup with one person *le sigh*.

ME2&3 are absolutely awesome!! Completed them multiple times.
Mass effect and Dragon Age will always be two of my favorite games ever. I hope Bioware will also make a legendary edition of Dragon Age one day. Or at least a remake/remastered of Origins and 2.
let them finish the 4 first.
If they make a remake i want Jowan as compainon xD
A remake of Origins would be amazing. To me still by an absurdly gigantic margin the best Dragon Age game and one of the best games ever made.
Dragon age is crap compared to mass effect.
@@White_Wrath Not origins.
Mass effect 2 is probably my favorite game of all time. I can't wait to play this series again!
As a snubby wannabe critic, ME2 and ABZU are the ONLY games I've ever personally given a 10.
GoW PS4 is still my favorite game, but those 2 are just Perfection.
Honestly
10 th time playing through the series, 11 starts tonight lmaoo
🤣
You think it's worth the 60 bucks if you already on the trilogy for PS 3? I'm still debating
@@bradh3292 well I played mass effect one about two years after it came out, so the graphics were acceptable. But like today I tried to go back and play the first one just so I can get an idea of everything that was improved, and I was astounded at how bad it was, graphically of course. So honestly I think the price of admission is just worth re-doing mass effect one. But just the fact that now I can play two and three on a remastered and re-supported platform is definitely a bonus

I had mass effect on my grandpas pc, I started playing it when I was really young, and enjoyed it a lot, but I only played the first one and I didn’t really care about the story, because I was so young; but a lot of years later I saw the game somewhere and I really wanted to play it again, for real this time; but I couldn’t buy it and I didn’t have a lot of time to play it, so I forgot about it. Some time later, this edition was released, and since then I’ve been dying to get it, but sadly I couldn’t afford to spend that money… imagine how happy I was when I saw the game on this month’s list of ps plus games! Been playing it nonstop since, I just finished the second game, I’m loving the trilogy so much, I’m sad that I’m already on the last one, so I jumped on UA-cam to see vids about the game.
