Now that they took queues from ME3 multiplayer and let Singularity prime everything and do damage over time, it definitely wins all in my book.
Annihilation field for sure. Nothing like warping into a group and then blowing them all up at once
I didnt see some of the super useful favourites like warp and reave. Did they leave out some of the skills? Or maybe they are companion only :c
Apparently the iconic Warp and the gamebreaker Reave are both gone.

This is going to be one of my ability-sets I'll do, along with Biotic/Sword Infiltrator.
I like overwelming, I'd do flamethrower + backlash + Remnant VI
FACTS! This is actually 1 of my main Ability-sets. I'm a touch annoyed someone else also uses it lololol
My load out is going to be Magic Missile, Fireball, and Lightning Bolt. Oh, I'm sorry, Lance, Incinerate, and Overload.
Jared Masten Same, pretty much the best loadout for handling all types of defense in the game and setting up for great combos.

I prefer to grab with pull and throw them everywhere. Something satisfying about smashing an enemy into a wall with the power of the mind.
A moment of silence for the loss of the combat drone. Yes the Remnant AI is clearly tacking it's place, but I have to give a little send off to that little orange ball that has gotten me out of many a battle, and helped me win on many occasions the #1 spot on multiplayer missions.

Its not gone, its a passive for engineers like tech armor is for sentinels :)

One year later, I finally picked it up (made the mistake of listening to the critics only). In my opinion, way underrated. The glitches suck, but, aside from that, very well done & you can tell a lot time went into the details of the game.
Sadly, while the critics hated it for lots of stupid reasons (including politics), the truth is EA damaged the game, by forcing the use of that engine and by not giving more time and resources to develop the game.
Originally the creators planned to include more new alien species and things like that.

Tactical cloak was my most used ability in the trilogy and now that there's swords I can fulfill my n7 shadow dreams and become a space ninja 🤗

Can't go wrong with some Two Steps From Hell music! ME2 and ME3 both had it for their launch trailers ("Heart of Courage" and "Protectors of Earth" respectively)!
Don't forget "black blade", ME3 TV spot music, if I remember correctly.
Nothing is more satisfying than put up your biotic shield with reflect upgrade and enjoy the view of gatling gun dude blow himself to heaven
A lot of reviews are being so harsh on this game.
All I can say is after my ten hour trial 6 in campaign and 4 in multiplayer. I feel extremely hooked, like I will literally play nothing else and not put this game down for a long while. Period.

Are barrier and tech armour passives now? I wanted to remake my mass effect 1 vanguard, who was a barrier/shield stacking shotgun spamming tank. I really wanted to stack tech armour and biotic barrier. :(

I really don‘t get those negative reviews and „bust“ commets. Gameplay is awesome, graphics are awesome, story is nice and thrilling (so far) animations aren‘t THAT bad, music is alright etc. On my optinion it feels way more like ME1 and I really like this.
Planning a PBAoE build with Singularity, Charge, Annihilation/Shockwave/Nova (will play around with the 3rd ability in game). Then combo with shotguns and/or Melee weapons. I will be a SciFi battlemage :)

do enemies suffer fall damage? if so throw would be awesome also wasn't charge suppose to prime biotic combos instead of detonate them?
Backlash is my absolute fav, reminds me of the energy shields in dbz. I put it on all my builds.
Charge & Nova are too OP even on higher difficulty.

As much as I think biotics are cool and can handle crowd control I've always got to go with my tech powers. Because I'm going up against baddies with shields and armor i can't see myself winning this game without it. Here's what I have so far: Engineer profile - Remnant VI, Energy Drain, and Overload or Incinerate. Infiltrator profile - Barricade, Tactical Cloak, and Energy drain with a profession in smiper rifles, i usually use the vanquisher. And for my sentinel he's a little like the Vanguard but with tech armor. Anyway his load out is Annihilation, Energy drain, and Charge with a profession in shot guns, I'm still trying to get the N7 paranah. But that's what I have so far.
Playing high level right now
Gun : Blackwidow + Valkyrie + Eagle (Sniper + High damage rifle + super rapid pistol)
3 Main Profiles:
1. Adept : Pull + Throw + Backlash (For non armored enemies)
2. Sentinel : Overload + Shockwave + Energy Drain (For Shield Enemies)
3. Infiltrator : Omni Grenade + Turbocharge + Tactical Cloack (For Armored Enemies and those F*CKIN ORB DUDE THINGY)
Tactical Cloak+Singularity+Shockwave to screw groups hiding together?
Can't go wrong with some good tech stuff. Personally I'm debating on doing a walkthrough as an engineer in the 3rd mass effect game.
This looks like I can't have Tech Armor while in a Vanguard Profile...That kinda sucks. Tech Armor is so cool :(

hmm looks like energy drain doesn't stun enemies like it did in the trilogy...I guess overload will finally beat it as the superior shield-stripper.

You get to pick 3 skills and 1 (mini-class) per favourite.
E.g. you can be every class kinda. Example you can use the Adept Profile for Biotic Powers and Sentinel for Tech Powers. As long as you meet the requirements for said profile to unlock.
From looking at this video i like Cryo Beam, Backlash and Barricade.

Say what you want about the game, but the combat was very fun
Gameplay looks like the best yet imo. Hope story, sidemissions and characters are equaly good and this is gonna be a masterpiece.

The lack of medi gel worries me so i am
looking for ways to counter that
Grenade attachment: Not that I've seen.
Change Fire modes: Also, not that I have seen.
Two assault rifles? Yes. You can put anything (Except melee) into the additional weapon slots.
Armor: Depending on how you do it, you can customize your armor design/build for various abilities. I have not seen any mods or augments for weight limitations, but I think there was a set of armor that had options for more ammo and the like.
Self-healing armor: No, because you don't have an 'armor' bar. You have shields, and you have your physical health so far, that's all I've seen. Nothing to indicate you can get armored up like the NPCs.
Can you charge enemies you throw? Cause biotic skeet shooting would be fun :D

Epic Combo Charge block with Backlash into nova also with Sentinel playstyle for more armor or Adept for a strong combo

But some of the biotics, like charge, nova and throw, seriously lack the impact of ME3
Seems like cool downs really take a while. Was hoping for ME3 level 'casting' times with only a pistol. Double-pull - double-throw. Repeat. Biotic explosion galore. Worked with a tech ability 'caster' (engineer) as well. Those had a cool down of under 2 seconds and even though they were on a global CD it worked out to cast way more abilities... *worried*
You can upgrade to lower cool downs. Most of the abilities shown here were with 1 or 2 skill points used in them.
Hey. Thanks for answering. But it seemed like a lot of 24 sec CDs and only 30% reductions. I do not believe that they are going to be as fast as in ME3. I could be wrong though...
I do want to note that each have individual cool downs. That was amazing
Still, I played ME3 without firing my weapons. And could do a biotic explosion every 2.8 seconds (that's 2 global skill CDs). And I did play it like that without the skill wheel pausing the game. It seems like this one is a lot more focused on shooting weapons and helping your character out with abilities in between...
I bet you can play like that here if you want to. I bet most people at least carry a weapon even if they don't use it a lot, and it makes sense to have it for the demos.

Adept: Backlash / Annihilation field / Throw
Backlash: Focus on it being has strong has it can.
Annihilation field: Use the zero g field it’s very fun and useful.
Throw: Build it so it boost detonation damage.
There, you are now a true biotic god. With the power to tear your enemies asunder and protect your allies no matter what’s the situation.
Looks like a lot of effects still haven't been implemented. Either that or their not going for the super flashy biotic abilities anymore.

I think Im gonna blend some grenades or flak havent decided yet with invisibility cloak and some preferable tech abilities. Im likely going to use the infiltrator class and blend Sniperrifles and some cloak and dagger shotgun close range stuff with the mobility of the jetpack. Dash out high damage long range and short but be a bit vulnarable mid range.
The one thing not covered in this video is that some skills and abilities act as either Combo primers and Combo Detonators. A Combo Primer is something like singularity or annihilation that gives weak damage but gives the enemy a, because it is biotic, a purple biotic glow. Lance and Overload are Combo Detonators. They do extra damage if the enemy is hit and influenced with a combo primer. As a result, an enemy within a Singularity field and is glowing purple will get extra damage from being hit by a Lance or Overload ability (assuming when these abilities hit they are still being effected by the combo primer).

Man, every time I watch this I feel mad dreaming with a legendary Two Steps From Hell launch trailer. Victory or Archangel would be fucking epic!! Missed opportunity to please every single Mass Effect fan in the world. So sad

Can you bind more than 3 abilities on PC?
You can only have 3 powers active at any given time, but you can define up to 4 quick-swap Favorites, which includes 3 powers and your choice of combat profile.
Hope we get that new Pull in the new ME

Damn... epic music! I was using Biotics... now aside from charge, I am leaning more towards tech abilities like Overload and Incinerate.
