- I promised I would do this and today I'm going to show you how I made my UA-cam Studio an epic workspace! I'm also going to show you all of the gear for how you can do the same and we're going to do this in a way we haven't done in a long time....we're going to Vlog it!

Nice to see a dedicated studio area where you don't fear knocking over things when you move! :-) That silhouette when you turned off the main light looked really cool...you could probably set up a great opening sequence by starting with darkness, fade in the background creating the silhouette, and then bring in the primary light.

New studio looks great!! Couldn’t help but notice that drop ceiling. There are some great mounting options for that 120d that would get it on the ceiling and get rid of the floor footprint altogether. Cheers!
Great set up, DSLR video Shooter as well did inspire me to improve studio and lighting, as soon as we have our house I’ll look for a studio Space there too.

great stuff, nice to have extra rooms for a studio and an office. Right now I am doing everything in a spot in my room. Studio and office, but it works ok so far. would love a separate studio room. someday!

The new set looks GREAT! If you added a gaming PC, you could actually eliminate even more by using streaming software such as OBS, which I know you use, and not only be able to record your content in there but also live stream with the exact same setup. We are working on a series called Studio Makeover that we do as collabs. We should talk. I could show you how to set this all up for an even more push-button studio. Doing it this way eliminates needing SD cards altogether. And you can record all the cameras at the same time for post.

I like it! Curious as to what made you choose the A7iii as the main camera? (over the Nikon, EOSR, GH5 etc.) also would love to see a Part II of this, where you talk about your camera settings, PP, grading workflow etc. Yeah, we fans are demanding like that! Hahah :) happy holidays dude! :)
I like it too! I completely understand the struggle of having a workplace where everything is just good to go. Because you just don't want to set up things each and every time.
Thinking about getting that backdrop setup as well but my ceiling is shaped as a triangle

I just redid my studio in my office and it was a ton of work but well worth it I think. I haven't made any videos with the new setup yet but my tests show it's much better than my old setup. I'm using some of the same gear you have there. Nice setup. Can't wait for the return of the ugly green chairs and the live stream. Merry Christmas!

Awesome and inspiring stuff Gary. Would love input on how to raise my game for Zoom meetings from my home office. I was going to add a Sony a6100 with an Elgato Cam Link and a Lewitt 240 pro or Shure MV7. Using OBS on my work PC. Would like to be able to use on Mac mini M1 that I bought for personal use too. Elgato Key lights to round it out.

You might get away with just lowering it down a bit out of the shot, because overall, I think it looks great. Just drop it down about a foot. Congrats on the new digs!

what tripod were you using on your handheld view? Also.. what teleprompter for reg videos?
I finally have the money to upgrade my main camera (Canon M50 and T61) to something that shots 4k without any massive crops or loss of the auto focus features. I'm stuck between getting the Canon 80D and the Sony a6400. There are benefits and drawbacks to each of these choices. I know you picked the a6400 as your pick for camera of the year 2019. With that said, do you recommend it over the Canon 90D? And ultimately it is going to have to be my choice but I respect your opinion in this matter.

Is that studio desk a sit/stand desk? It looked like it had adjustable height. What kind is it, do you like it? Is it wobbly, given that it just has two legs without a cross brace?
It is a standing/sitting desk, I bought it from ikea but I don’t remember the name. It’s actually one of the most sturdy tables I’ve used and works with all that stuff attached to it no problem.
Looks sooo damn expensive ... all the tech and gadgets and cameras!!!😮
