I ❤️ Parker Walbeck.
We all do brother, we all do.
Your humor was much appreciated! Love it.
Most solid tricep grab haha
I found out we are 6th cousins
Wow really?
I appreciate how you don’t make your videos about having expensive gear. Great content and replicable for any budget.
You need good gear, not expensive gear.
@@krane15 in many cases, good can also be expensive, like well built laptops
@@blakeok952 Think 3rd-party manufactures. In most cases they give you 8/10th the quality for half the price. Unless you're an extreme professional, most users won't even get anywhere near the limit to their equipment.
For example, if I were going to film in Antarctica I'd choose all Canon gear. But for everything else, Sigma and other 3rd-party manufactures will be more than enough. That's my point.
not my budget
They literally went from using an 8000$ camera to using a 600$ camera with 300$ gear. I don't know whats the point? He is just showing how you can archieve great result by investing into cheap (in this case it is cheap) lights to make your videos look better.
The before shot was totally nailing that depressing-chain-music-store-piano-lesson-room aesthetic
I don't usually comment on these videos but how he broke it down step by step and how he just made it so simplified at the same time was absolutely amazing! The simplicity of what he did but it was just so effective she's definitely a photography genius! Absolutely love this video.
Quick note about studio foam: it only addresses high and high mid frequencies. It’ll reduce some echo, but low end frequencies need mass. Building bass traps from floor to ceiling with Rockwool and hanging an acoustic cloud from above will actually have a more positive effect. Also, down does break down over time and can grow mold if you’re shooting in a basement or high humidity (50% or above) space. Rockwool is all natural. There are loads of tutorials on building your own bass traps (which also absorb high frequencies) on UA-cam.
I live in Utah, and do UA-cam full time. But man - I swear I just can't compete yet with the quality of UA-camrs here. Seriously though, just by watching your videos, before I film I'm always asking myself if my lighting is good, and is there enough depth, how could this be more cinematic and ambient. Hoping to get to your level someday! Thanks for all you do!
fancy seeing you again josh!
Is did not expect to be here I am you subscriber learning programming.
Hey brother, just came here to say that you don't need to compare yourself to anyone! You do you. UA-cam isn't a zero sum game! :) cheers and good luck!
I just sarted learning web dev, amazing channel, +1 sub
if you do it fulltime jc, how do you pay your other bills? rent, food, camera, computer, software, obviously you must have a house or 2 bedroom apt to have a studio. please im very curious
Amazing! This is such a thorough walk-through to get an awesome image! Thank you for sharing. Max respect for proving it's not all about what camera you're using!
Thanks for this Parker. What I really like about your videos is that you communicate very deliberately and clearly. A lot of tutorials here on UA-cam, the hosts are trying to be fun, which I understand- totally. But sometimes the explanations can be lost in the focus to be fun and quirky. Your videos show that a tutorial doesn't have to be boring to be clear. I have more expensive gear than what's here but I don't feel like I've had someone explain these principles just so wholistically! Really feel confident after this video based on what you explained. You have a real talent, thanks!
You've got a real passion, Parker. It's really fun to watch you set it all up. It's inspiring.
You have to be a little bit of a control freak to be a filmmaker... I love it! :) Great video.
"a little bit"
Hang in there brotha, you wanna sit down for this before you walk into a fim set xD
It's all the little things that will make good to epic
The main difference is always lighting, it can change EVERYTHING!
“You don’t need money to make things look good, I got this for about $100”
*temptation to close video intensifies*
Jaisean 😂😂
How ?
Very good! Parker is a good guy, helping out your friend like that is awesome!
Thank you! I learned more from you in these 12 minutes than I did searching for an hour for videos similar to this! Cant wait to dive into more of your content!
Thanks Parker, a proper space to do your thang is ESSENTIAL. I’m building my channel based on so many of your videos..
Such an awesome makeover. So cool to see what this relatively small change in equipment/money can give you. Love this kind of content!
Parker has tought me the importance of light! Since I've watched some of the light tutorials I've improved my filmmaking about 1000%...thanks Parker!
Dude this was fantastic! Thank you so much for this. I work with super dramatic flash lighting all the time, but ambient light trips me up. You explained it so freakin clearly and I see correlations between the two thanks to this video man. THANK YOU!
Hey man, just a note on the spray glue, you get best results by spraying both surfaces and letting it set for about a minute. It will become super duper sticky after that.
Thank you!! 💥💌💯
I saw this video 4 years a go and was so powerfull!! thank you for your quality and heart.
Bless you to you and to your family.
Parker Walbeck’s cheap: $100
My cheap: $10
For real lmao
My cheap? $1
you can make lights like that for about $40 and creativity
Home depot sells work lights under $10 including clamp. 5600k bulbs on Amazon $6. Supermarket parchment paper $3. Clothes pins $1. You will be amazed.
I picked up a $12 light from Wal-Mart the other day. lol
This is fantastic advice and I love how you keep it simple and show how affordable it can be.
This was genius! Great video, need more like this on UA-cam !
This - easily the most helpful studio make over vid, for me, so far. 'Working out of my 15'x 20' home office space. Cheers!
My gosh how did i not see your channel till now. You and your videos are so good and helpful! Thanks!
Thanks man, I really love your videos and tutorials .. the quality .. the details in explanation.. loving all of it. Looking forward for your next one!
You're so mush awesome Parker
That was so much creative and easy to anyone to do
thank you for teaching us all of this for free ♥♥
It's insane how the perceived production value changes with just a couple small tweaks. Even without the f/1.4 lens, it's like night and day. And... when you're actually delivering quality content, the environment has got to match it. dope upgrade. 🤙
Wow! Amazing transformation!!
My studio is exactly what I'm working on, so perfect timing! And thanks for repping for us Utah filmmakers!
WOW now this is just amazing! From beginner to pro with some tweaks. This video brings 100% value!!!
For 1 week I've been fiddling with lighting at my piano for a video; this was exactly what I needed, thank you!
Nicely done... I use the Canon Rebel SL2 for the majority of my videos. It's a great little camera that gets the job done and the colors look great. Thanks for sharing the makeover with us! Always like to see what others are doing.
Awesome..I love it..Just showed me how to work on my small space room..
Amazing. I spent so much time (like many many DAYS) trying to get lighting right in a small room in my home with a green-screen. Lighting is so hard. It can drive you mad! This end-result looks great.
What a great video on strategy, aesthetics and overall cinematic look that enhances the subject and adds more depth and "feel" to the videos! LOVE IT! Thank you so much for a great video!!
Awesome makeover, Parker! Great job!
I love your common sense approach to this all. Thanks for being real.
Tanner Townsend, the man who introduced Parker to the glidecam! I love it 😂
This is just great. Superb pacing, relevant content, all done very clearly and efficiently on a low budget with demonstrably great results.
Wow.... this is really amazing. The before and after are so different!
Sensacional! Grande aula! Obrigado por seu trabalho!!!

This vid wasn't what I was looking for, but I'm here to the endscreen because it's actually very interesting and I love watching people do something well. Kudos!

Great tips, working on trying to update my background a bit for my videos, the main factor is the depth department, now I got some work to do!
This is exactly what I needed as I'm trying to do the same thing with my small studio performance videos. Thanks!
