Ive had the GVM for simple lighting for the past year... as far as backgrounds go It'll be a green screen or heavy draped curtain over sound blankets
www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1558582-REG/gig_gear_ggcal5712_cam_a_lot_video_conferencing_background.html this is what i'm planing on getting because it's pretty inventive exspecially for those Fixed Local Lenes. But I'm gonna look into that RGB lighting.
Nothing right now. But I'm so happy I seen this video. I recently started my UA-cam a month ago to distract me from my job as a bedside nurse and now helping nurses. So videos like this is AWESOME because this is soooo HELPFUL. Thank you!!!!
hey! I just use some cute girly backgrounds I purchase on ebay and amazon
I keep changing my UA-cam background a lot, however since the lockdown started I kept more or less a fix setup...so in the background there's a piece of white furniture with shelves where I try to orderly arrange cameras, lenses, gimbals etc...and orange and blue led lights. It's basically my setup for all my videos since March....feel free to check it out and tell me what you think about it!
To all you tubers I wish you all success over the next few months and after that!!! 👍 😀
Thanks dawg
Thank you!!
I hope so thank you
Thnx buddy ♥️♥️♥️
Kash apki batte jald hi Puri ho jayee
Background makes such a difference, along with the camera angle! You can make your videos look so much more professional even with a sheet and some string lights! Thanks for all your awesome creator content!
This is so useful! I only have my room and plain white walls, but I've been thinking of some alternatives now. Actually one thing I did recently was take down an old bedsheet that I have and use that as a fabric backdrop, and it worked! It's a diy hack for those in need, since buying actual backdrops can be very expensive!
Buying a Philips light which can change its color is also good for white walls :)
Yep- Been filming in my office which is quite sterile/white walls. Def thinking about upgrading the set-up to a cooler/comfier vibe
That’s a great idea! I record my videos in my livingroom because I don’t have a office (actually my livingroom is my office hahaha) and I live quite small 😄
I remember buying a lighting kit that came with 3 backgrounds (green, black & white) to record my online course. In the end I only used it for a few videos because it was too cumbersome to set up and unpack after. My advise for beginners is to just use whatever you have as a background (bookshelves are great). If you really need to cover your background, just use a white or black bedsheet 😊
It doesn't matter where you are now on this plant, if you read this, I wish you a wonderful and happy life where all dreams and aspirations come through! Wishing you this from America. ❤️
I’ve been looking for a video like this for the longest! The grey background and RGB Light Hack feels like a UA-cam Secret many UA-camrs haven’t shared. Thank you!
Interesting!
I also have been experimenting a lot with different backgrounds
I recently got this tapestry off of Amazon that shows the San Francisco bridge and it looks awesome!
I made my first video with that in the background earlier today and was very happy with the result!
Then again, it's always great to get even more ideas! 😄
Thank you so much for this upload Think Media! I absolutely love your channel! You have inspired me to go all in on my UA-cam channel and media business this year! Keep rocking the YT airwaves and blessings to you from this new UA-camr!😊
I'm currently using a curated bookshelf and wall decorations in my study, but I really like this idea! Thank you for the video!
Thank you for sharing these hacks. The backgrounds you use look *bright and IMPRESSIVE!*
Superb video my friend. Thank you so much for sharing your work with all of us.
I use the Neewer Roller and the savage paper and they are great. Although, if you don't want to spend close to $400 on the lighting kit. You can buy the Neewer 2 Pieces Bi-color 660 LED Video Light with the Initial heart 18 Pack Correction Gel Light Filter Sheet Colored Overlays and it will work great. For the roller backdrop, the lights, and the gels it comes around $350 it can add up with the Savage background the size that they use each one cost $35-40. Hopefully this helps and makes sense!
do you notice a reduction in quality by going with the Correction Gel Light Filter Sheets rather than the RGB light?
@@ChrisDAndrealifestyledesign Since I haven't tried an RBG light I can't tell you if there is a quality drop. But if you are worried about it you should get an RGB instead of what I recommended.
I decorated the wall behind me on my videos and tidied it up. I like to keep it tidy and consistent. Next purchase is have my logo made to have it on the wall or shelf.
My background for my first 4 vids has simply been my office. No tidying, pure office. While it's authentic, def gonna upgrade my set-up in my 'man-cave' at home to be a bit more visually appealing in the future, good luck to all!
Having your logo on the wall or shelf would be nice a touch. I was thinking about doing the same, by having my logo framed and placed on my wall.
Since I talk about books, my backdrop is my bookshelf! But I love this setup here as well. I always love the photos and thumbnails you create. At my old job, where we created kids’ and young teen content, we used something similar! It was super helpful and it always looked cool.
Very cool idea, my background on my channel has gone through a few iterations, the first background was my workshop, then we painted the wall Blue, then finally I moved to a room under my garage that was a storeroom, that is now our "Studio" with a wooden wall background. We got the wood from a place that repurposed old wood for really cheap, about $50 and it looks good, had one guy say it was "Mesmerizing", lol
This was great! Loved the idea of only buying one background paper and using the lights to create new colors! Thanks!
watching from Dubai
Definitely helped... I was just using the back wall in the room but it was busy with a frame, closet doors, room door and just so much goin on my background.
Such helpful product recommendations! I have a “design wall” in my sewing room and a photography stand, so that has been working for me to use my quilts as backdrops
I painted a wall and use that as my backdrop but can certainly see the benefits of this system. I've a white wall, will be interested to try the colourful light tip mentioned in the vid 👍
Wow... This is so awesome, but I don't have enough space in my room, so I just used the background inside of my bedroom atm with lighting and some decorations.
Thank you for posting these background ideas it is one of the best ways we can make our videos appear more professional on the platform 😀😀👍
I saw this on LinkedIn, so glad you shared this, I’m all in! Fantastic video, looking forward to stepping my thumbnails and backdrop lighting with color 🎨 Thank you so much Omar! Thank you so much Sean!
Everyday you guys teach me something new and affordable too!
Three year old video and still valid for today! I love it. Thank you so much for the great info.
You guys are the best, so much love to Think Media from Italy, Sean and you all! So much value and so much positivity. I love your message and work. I didn't started yet, but this video is game-changing for me because I was afraid about the back wall.
I was quite happy when I say this video, because you resolved this issues that you never touched, and as usual, you totally nailed it right there. In fact the stand background to remount is a PITA, but the interchangeable mount background is really a smart way! It's quite cheap and very smart way to change the color of the background and still get creative!
Thank you again guys!
PS nice taste about your watch! Stainless Steel AP w/ black dial! A classic-always good choice! Love it!
Omar was the first person that told me about Savage Seamless Paper. I bought the equivalent from Walmart, because the shipping was crazyyyy
I've been using these for years, Finally get to see this product get some much needed recognition
Some of these background would be super useful for my story time videos about experiences from my life, thanks for the help 👍
Very good advice! I’m loving this UA-cam thing. I get to be creative and learn. It’s such a powerful thing! I’m just starting my channel and it’s great! Good luck to everyone on their channel also!
I’m currently using fabric pieces for my backdrop, looking for a different look which is how I stumbled across this video! Thank you!
I watch Think Media everyday, and I learn something new. Thanks as always!
Japan Weekend Adventures Yes! Think Media never disappoints.
💪🏼
I love the coloured backdrop. It's a good way to hide any mess you can't remove from your background when you are filming too. lol
I usually use green screen, but I really like this roller system. I especially like the color hack with the lights for more thumbnail options.
This was awesome!!! Learned so much about lighting!!!
I have string lights hanging on my back wall. It gives a dope vibe for my cover videos and I try to turn them on for pretty much all my other videos too
Omg, been looking for something like this for ages.
Currently I'm using the wall with no proper/clear background. I have been running UA-cam to find tips for the background. And here I finally reaching to the right destiny. Thank you so much Omar and Team 'Think Media' 😎😍😍😍😘😍😘❤💘💕💯❤💛💚💙
Stands are definitely a lot more work! Love the photo mount idea! Will find out if they are available here in Lagos, Nigeria! I just got some coloured backdrops for my birthday on the 1st and I can't wait to try them out! Those GVM lights are super cool and versatile! I used to shoot with only natural light but now I'm using softboxes and a ringlight and the quality of my videos has gone up soooo much 😊
Been looking for this ❤ I really just painted my wall with the pastel color I like, haha. So far, it's good enough.
Rea Ninja I love your thumbnails!
@@cierradcorbett I just read this. Thank youuu ❤😊
Dope! Love the course switch using the light. Thanks.
I continue to love your videos - very succinct and on point, very informative and you always give plenty of ideas - thanks!
You can also use this set up for you own photoshoot! This is so rewarding to watch. That you my guy!
Holy smokes! This was straight fire!!!
YEEEET
Think Media content never disappoints.
I couldn't agree more, this gave me so many ideas!
Green Sceen
I have been using the Manfrotto Autopole system for years. It has the same mounts for the backgrounds like the one in your video. I currently have a Black and a Super white background also by Savage. I am looking to start using Vinyl backgrounds as you don't get the reflection off of them like you do on a paper backgrounds. For my backround light I use an Aputure LS 1/2W and have available set of colored gels. I also use 2 Aputure LS Mini20 D spotlights up high and behind me on both sides for hair lights. My Main light is an Aputure LS120 D II with Light Dome attached and my fill light is an Aputure LS120 D with a mini light dome attached.
Great vid Omar! Inner circle member for awhile now and you guys still crush all the tutorial vids. Just ordered the grey paper and lighting kit through your Amazon links. Been looking to spruce up my backdrop for awhile now and this video did it! Great work and hope to see you all in Vegas soon!
which # grey did you order?
Man those backgrounds are so slick! I can't wait to get some when I get a little further along with my channel. ✅✅
Awesome! Thanks for these tips and we’re definitely going to look into getting the light kit💯
Thanks for the great tips! That colour light behind you was the magic right there. Just clicked through the Amazon link and picked up the 3-light kit myself to improve the vids on my channel. Cheers!
I was going to ask about the back drop on IG so glad you guys made this video

Great job! Thank you
really loved the grey color backdrop tip! these paper backgrounds aren't exactly cheap and that lighting tip is genius!!!! thanks for saving me so much money on buying multiple colors! 😂😂😂
Great! My grey wall also works quite nicely. Thanks for the tip about lighting with different colours.
Amazing tips! Thank you so much!👏🏼✨
Best technique of video tip, love it 😍
Thank you for this! I bought LED lights a year ago and now I know how to use them best. I tried it yesterday and it looked much better!
I use a rustic fence wall hanging...I like the idea of shining different colored lights on the background for thumbnails
For my backdrop I currently use different views of my art studio, artwork and vintage toy, vinyl figure collection. This is great content. Thank you.
So glad I came across this video! I’m looking to update my green screen that I made from poster board 🤷🏽♀️ I’ve been using it for about a year. Plus I was thinking about paint wall, I could get a couple colors.
Very cool, something every streamer could use as well as for all the other reasons you mentioned.
Pretty nice... Loving this idea... As a new UA-camr this will definitely up my creative game...
Thank you and keep up the great work.
Really helpful as always x
Honest Vocal Coach You have nice thumbnails. That’s so cool that you’re a vocal coach.
Hi Omar, 👋
Awesome. Time to level up. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day. 👍
This is so awesome! I was literally looking for backdrop rollers like these but the ones I found were expensive AF. Thank you for this awesome video!
I use a portable backdrop support that I never take down. I haven't decided where I want the backdrop system mounted yet. Your wife is very sweet for putting it up in the dining room. Mine is too formal therefore, I would have had a horse. LOL It's looks really nice there. You thang the something today, because I didn't know this systems were that simple to mount. Although you lost me at mounting. It would fall off the wall if I do it. I thought there were poles to slide the paper through . I love Salvage seamless. I have a 9 foot white seamless. Great information !
I definitely need a background upgrade ✅
Adorn To Allure Your beauty videos are nice. A new background would be a nice touch. 💚
That looks really good! I will definitely consider this background; I have used green screen earlier but it takes lot of editing if lightning is not on point.
This is so cool! Thank you for this, I’ll definitely check it out.
Hey mahn.. you just got a new subscriber, this video just literally answered my inner question of which color backdrop i should get for my little UA-cam studio. I was actually thinking of going for a blue backdrop but now i know better...thumbs up mahn
The RGB light on white backdrop is a game changer. Thank you!
🤘🏼
I love this tip! Thanks THINK media and Team. That ens slide is SOLID! I will definitely be using that approach. TY
Omar! This is a really great video. Lot of value!
A lot of thanks for making and sharing your video!!

This video made me like comment subscribe and turn the bell on. I always watch your stuff at least since I’ve gotten a Sony a6400 and idk why but this video was the one that made me commit. Great quality content. ❤️
Legit one of the most informative and understandable clips I've watched during my many, MANY hours of research as I embark on my journey to become a creator. THANK YOU 🌸✨
Dude! That RGB light is lit! I'm currently looking to up my game when It comes to my backdrop so I can have better quality " product review videos"...super helpful!
Thank you so much for making this video and sharing the video with all of us.
I painted a wall green. It's a conversation starter for visitors :-) BTW: you do a great job with the difficult challenge of lighting with glasses!
I really need it this video, incredible!
I'm using table cloths lmao the plastic ones, on a photo backdrop pole thing hah, I love that light tip omg
The back light is such a good idea. I was just about to order a bunch different colored paper but I don’t have to. Thanks for the tip!
Alaina Houser Think Media videos teaches me something new with each post...definitely a worthwhile channel.
black back grounds take color very well also, just without the bright luminance. great video!
Thanks for the tip! Looks great!
Loved those tips!! Thanks for sharing! :)
