As a person starting up, this video is extremely important. The few videos that I've made I've had in the back of my mind that my "studio" is not setup to be a space that I want to put out there publicly. It's what I have, but it's limiting my creativity. I'm in a basement that is very clearly used as a storage space, its dark, and there is stuff everywhere. I'm going to get to work on cleaning up this space and setting up some cloth or something to section off this space and make it look nicer. I'm also in a challenging space where the lights from my reef tank can really mess with my shots and i'm trying to figure out how to overcome that. I tried making a video last night and realized that my face is so dark compared to anything else. I desperately needed this, thank you!

I've been watching a lot of videos on studio tours and I think this is one of the best - mainly because you're explaining your thought process and reasons for doing what you're doing. Much more insightful than the typical studio tour where they seem to show more of their A7S3 and 300D than the how and why they designed their studio. Thanks!

Finally got my room to where I can have 3 different shots. I have an "at the desk" shot, a black backdrop with one small LED to light behind me and a couch setup. Good stuff!

This was a killer breakdown of your UA-cam studio, I appreciate it!
Love how you showed the different angles, so we could see the entire room/studio/different angles. Also, how the lighting can make such a significant impact.
I have been relying on natural light for too long, and this video is proof that lighting can make all the difference in the world. Love the LED color lights, and such an affordable option to really add some "coolness" to the studio.

Thanks Jeven. Your humble, transparent approach is realistic and educational. As a noob/struggling/low-confidence creator, I find many of the other big creators a bit strong on the 'tude. Definitely worth every view.
My work is filmed outdoors, so I am trying to find the correlation of light here and outdoors. The sun is never at an angle that behooves the point/subject I am trying to showcase.

Super great info, I'm just starting a series on the process of upgrading my UA-cam Studio, and always love tips from other UA-camrs which have ironed out certain issues. Thankfully I've planned to do a similar standing scene which is reassuring, however the RGB colours for what's "on brand" for me is probably the hardest part to decide. Guess it's all trial and error until I find something which works 😂 until them my channel will probably be a rave party!

Jeven Dovey I enjoyed this video and appreciate what you shared got me thinking and made me realize a much better way of going about my new setup im in the middle of working on. I hit like on this video just off the insight alone even though there was much more. Its funny I knew soon as I saw that picture on that sliding mirror door it had to be one of those on Amazon or couple other sites that have them because ive been looking at them for a minute but wasn't sure how good they would look in real life but now I know its A+ for sure and going to have to pull the trigger on one of those I saw. Anyways appreciate the video keep them coming mean time I will check out some of your others you have posted.

the clarity and quality from the Nikon camera that you picked up at the 3-minute Mark is my favorite. I also like the lighting that you get from the combination of your artificial light and window light when you were at your standing table. I'm thinking about transitioning to a standing set up. I feel like I can be more dynamic and energetic if I stand while I record.
