I saw Prong on this tour back in 1990 as they were the support act for Faith No More. It was only the 2nd gig I went to at the young age of 15. Both bands killed it that night.
Seen them open for Pantera in 1994 for the Far Beyond Driven album Headliner was Sepultura but Max broke his leg. So, Prong Pantera played longer and Jason Newsted made a appearance. This was on my birthday 8/17
Grabbed my copy of "Beg to Differ" on vinyl when it came out. Still have it. And I'm glad Prong is putting out great albums after all these years. Saw them live in Brazil in 2022 and they were in top form.
How I truly miss having Saturday night HBB parties with bands like Prong and Corrosion of conformity playing in the background while my friends and I were literally head banging our fucking brains out killing a keg or a few 30 packs. Looking back now it was the perfect stress reliever for a bunch of young pissed off guys that we were back then.
“Beg to Differ” has consistently remained one of my Top 10 favorite albums of all time. The fact Tommy Victor has managed to carry the ball all these years is very appreciated, as Prong is one of my all-time favorite bands. To this day, I eagerly await each new release.
I saw live in Birmingham UK back in 90/91. I hadn't even heard of them! I lost a shoe in the mosh. Found it eventually and sat on the stage while I put it back on! Bought their album the day after and listened to it endlessly. Brilliant stuff.
Killer song and album!!A teacher in an alternative school i was in when i was 12 years old turned me on to these guys he said here go home and check this tape out and i was vlown away!!Yea man Prong kick ass and still do!!
Timeless music from Mr Victor et al. Tommy is a genius, and Prong keep producing great music to this day! This CD, and Helmet's Aftertaste get most deck time in my car.
I met my wife and she was a huge Bon Jovi/Cinderella fan, ok that's fine and I introduced her to Beg to Differ and it changed her tastes in Metal completely.
I saw Clutch open for Prong back in 90s at The Bayou in DC. Crowd was jumping off 2nd floor balcony, the mosh pit put today's to shame. Clutch singer punched an over-zealous fan in face... Crazy good times
Good to hear they still play live I have got to see them again. One of the most cerebral metal bands ever, certainly lyrically, and they are so underrated it kills me. Didn't know they had this many vids thank God for UTube and fans who care. I saw Tommy play with Danzig in 2007 great show still had his hair too. Prong owns!
That's a weird comparison. If anything you should compare the metal of today with prong or the rap of back then to lil Wayne. It would be like me coming on here and comparing country with this, doesn't make any sense.
Yep, the album cover is great...wish it would’ve been in the theatrical version of Terminator 2...the poster of the album wound up being in one of the deleted scenes
I’m so grateful I got to see them open up for Sepultura and Pantera. I was in the first few rows as the crowd was trickling in. I was flailing my arms, singing every word and head banging to get the unamused fans into it. The singer pointed at me and gave me a head nod of appreciation. It was awesome.
Someone in high school gave me a recording of Prove Me Wrong on a cassette that he made. Absolutely amazing band. 🔥🔥🔥💯 Yeah I know this is a different album but that's my Prong story. Years later, I walked downstairs at my parents house and someone had left The Cleansing CD on the table and nobody claimed it so it became mine.
Kinda weird. When I got into this particular album, I was heavily into "Streetcleaner" by Godflesh... For some reason it made sense to me to play those two albums back to back... Probably something about the machine-like sense of rhythm on this album.. Makes sense then that Ted Parsons worked a stint for Godflesh at some point... Excellent stuff... I'm glad I was born when I was and not decades earlier or worse, later :-D
Heard this band on Radio 1 while I was driving, back c. 1989, and thought it was someone 'cheating' in the studio with speeded up tracks/tapes, couldn't believe the precision, then John Peel chimed in - it was a live session in the BBC studios. Immediately Acquired Force Fed and (when it was released later) Beg To Differ. Still think Force Fed is the better album - no compromise for the labels on that one, utterly unique. Well worth getting hold of that John Peel session on disc (vinyl, ideally) if you can find it.
Head bangers ball boy this brings back memories these guys still rock were are all the metal heads gone boy the kids these days don't no what they are missing music today does really suck
Especially at that time... being a metal band in the early 90s. Now it’s basically trendy to rock Joy Division, but there was always something different and cool abt Prong. And that shirt in this video speaks to that fact.
This song kicked ass in 89 and is still fucking awesome today. Tommy Victor is still one of the coolest people I have met that did something with his music and I will never forget how he treated me like a long lost friend the day we met. rock on Tommy!!!!!!
Just saw these cats the other night at Pop's in Sauget, Illinois on tour...they kicked ass opening for Fear Factory. The bassist sure looked like Tony Campos from Static-X---need to research. GREAT STUFF!
One of the most important thrash metal albums from the beginning of 90's although not widely popular (best things are often reserved for connoseurs and not grabbed by the masses). Also my 1st CD (until then I had been buying vinyl). Lost and Found is my fav from this CD.
Even if you are not a full metalhead you cant simply dislike Prong. Tommy Victor is The Man over and behind all the stars of the metal music game. Without Prong tons of bands simply could never exist.
I got beg to differ back in 89-90 after seeing a Thrasher sub page or ad . I saw Pushead graphics and I knew it was gonna be good! It fed my soul while burnin through all the urethane and maple!
2025 and I'm still listening to old school thrash!!!!!!! This classic will never fade away!!!!
Helmet got so much attention in this era but Prong had my attention for sure. They still hold up. East coast hardcore.
Respect from London, England.
East Coast hard in the 90's.
They were 20 years ahead of their time...
One of the most cerebral, yet underrated metal bands of all times, but their metal peers revere the mighty PRONG. All hail!
Bitch it’s like Britney Spears with electric guitars
@@andresespinoza2900 Wrong , No pedophiles in or making this video
Saw Them open up for Pantera in 1994 at Nassau Coliseum 🤘🤘
I saw Prong on this tour back in 1990 as they were the support act for Faith No More. It was only the 2nd gig I went to at the young age of 15. Both bands killed it that night.
Nice!!!
Saw them the same tour in Milan 1990...and headliners at Dynamo 1994...amazing power.. so underrated band!
I saw them on that tour too! Good times.
Seen them open for Pantera in 1994 for the Far Beyond Driven album Headliner was Sepultura but Max broke his leg. So, Prong Pantera played longer and Jason Newsted made a appearance. This was on my birthday 8/17
Saw the same tour at nassau coliseum in long island ny...sick show
Must’ve been an amazing show
Nice

Tommy Victor still kicks ASS. Go see PRONG
Headbangers Ball back growing up in school!
When they still played MUSIC
Yep, replaced the S.O.D. tracks.

Im 14 and I'll watch some head angers ball on yt
That snare!!!!! Love it!

I saw them same way never heard of them they opened for Ozzy in Atl the no more tears tour
The last time I heard this song was 1994 when I was a sophomore in high school...I forgot how awesome it is!
Always good to rediscover great music.
Classic! Still love and listening to PRONG!!
Ted Parsons needs to come back and do one more album with Tommy. Those first 3 albums were just the best.
He should come back for good. Something about new Prong just feels... off without him.
I don't know about you guys, but the only album that I love and listen to is Beg to Differ. Don't care much for the rest.
No doubt. The perfect fit. Always has been
Everything is better with Teddy.
@@PS-dp8yg Listen to Primitive Origins again. Loud. Repeatedly.

Helmet's Aftertaste just sounds gross I'm sorry.
Reggie Clayton fuck yeah HELMET \M/
One of the greatest, yet underrated crossover thrash songs.
I met my wife and she was a huge Bon Jovi/Cinderella fan, ok that's fine and I introduced her to Beg to Differ and it changed her tastes in Metal completely.
I just don't get why those guys are so underrated. Like why this masterpiece has only 605k views?
I saw Clutch open for Prong back in 90s at The Bayou in DC. Crowd was jumping off 2nd floor balcony, the mosh pit put today's to shame. Clutch singer punched an over-zealous fan in face... Crazy good times
PRONG 4 LIFE!!!! R.I.P. Paul Raven!!!!
Some of these riffs remind me of the band Coroner. Long live Prong!
Ted Parsons & John Stanier are my two favorite drummers.
Bo88y Beretta Yeah, Prong and Helmet ruled the 90s🤘🤘🤘
The drummer… why is he so good? Underrated band.
Korn said when they were starting out these dudes were a huge influence in how they wrote songs. I hear it, in guitars and drums.
When everyone was listening to GnR, Van Halen, Nirvana, I'm like give me some prong, I'm good!!
Yeah, especially as the others are generally DEAD!!!
Ha! me too
Gateway band to better metal.
Prong owns!
I'm on a Prong kick right now. Listening to anything and everything by them. Love these guys!
Dude, I saw them on that tour. Met Tommy Victor after their set. One of the nicest, coolest guys ever.
I bought this cassette before i left for Ft. Hood Tx in 1989. Listened to it over and over. One of the greatest ever. It never gets old...
Every early prong video...I CANT TELL WHATS HAPPENING BUT THE MUSIC IS BADASS
Nice profile picture, you’ve got taste. Much respect
I used to be stuck on this album in middle school! Ah, the 90s HAHAAHA this Song/Album is STILL awesome!
I remember playing the FUCK out of this tape in my 78 Buick regal back in High School while driving at full speed down the freeway...
YummyBaer awesome 👏
Bee Zo hahahahaha
Did the same.
Holy s#!t! I had a brown Buick Regal too! An 81, and I had the promo tape with unconditional on the other side.
@@sandmanbnysI had a brown '81 Buick Regal in the mid/late '90s. That thing was a tank!
This will always take me back to the glorious 90s.
I feel bad for the kids growing up with lil wayne when we had Prong.
honestly
YUP! Dope as fuck 🤘
That's a weird comparison. If anything you should compare the metal of today with prong or the rap of back then to lil Wayne. It would be like me coming on here and comparing country with this, doesn't make any sense.
Prong didn't need Gimmicks, [ Slipknot, 9 guys in monkey suits] and 3 [ YES 3] Guys Blow away 9🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
@Tech Hybrid eh there's good and bad rap like theirs good and bad metal. I'd rather listen to public enemy any day over poison or warrent.
This is one of their greatest recordings!! It's ancient, but it doesn't matter upon!!!
Just keep THRASHIN!!!
THRASHIN HARD!!!
Ted's drumming is truly something.
brings back so many memories
Totally agree,Prong were always ahead of their time.Heavy crunching riffs and meaningful lyrics..count me in !!!
Damn how about a round of applause for the drummer 👏👏👏👏

The bridge from thrash metal to Groove Metal. Along with exhorder. I could also say Fear Factory must have been fans of Prong.
Zombiepizza88 EXHORTER is in a class of their own !!!!!
No comparison.
