Yeah, it's really nice. Plant's emotions during it are powerful and infectious.
Very cool!
Hell yeah ann Wilson kills it
This is like one of the best videos ever made, shit will bring a tear to your eye @King KTF do it!
Whoever is playing that guitar !!! Damn the WHOLE WORLD KNOWS EXACTLY WHO THE HELL THAT IS !!
Kinda the whole point of a reaction buddy! He’s learnt who Jimmy Page is the best way possible 👌🏻
lol.
Greatest Satanist to ever grace a guitar.
That, my friend, is no "the dude with the guitar", he's Sir James Patrick Page.
Fact.
Yes
Heart covered this at the Kennedy Honors when President Obama honored Led Zeppelin, the BEST cover of this song EVER!!! It will give you WAAAAAY more than goosebumps!! A MUST watch. :) Thanks Preston!!
agreed!!!!!
agreed!!!
Too bad you need to watch Obama while reacting to it.
Fantastic cover!
Led Zep was composed of one each of the greatest rock singers, songwriter, drummer, guitarist at the same damn time... Nuff said
Bonham is incredible but no one is better then Neil peart on the drums
@@GrimeDiesel did you know that John Bonham didn’t receive his first drum kit until he was 15 years old? He joined Led Zeppelin when he was 19. Died at age 31. Voted greatest rock drummer of all time in many separate polls, but that is all subjective. Neil Peart is great too
@@FelixTheCat69 best percussionist is Neil best drummer is bonham
@@GrimeDiesel Interesting. I really would like to know more about Neil Peart. I bought a bunch of Rush albums, but they just didn't do it for me. I also watched a documentary on them and that was really good. Neil seemed to have some tragedy and demons to work through, but it was very good. Funny, I couldn't take Geddy's voice for too long, but he seemed like a super nice guy and I could have listened to Neil play all day and he was not very sociable at all.
@@FelixTheCat69 rush is a little out there but I love it. Neil was a genius at both writing songs and playing drums. But yeah gettys voice is very hit or miss. But his bass playing makes up for it I think.
if you get a chance...check out Heart's version of "Stairway" at the Kennedy Center Honors Led Zeppelin
Made Robert cry, destroyed it with perfection.🥃
Yep. The tribute from Heart with Jason on drums, was one of the best covers ever. Any song.
Follow this ladies' advice. Tears streamed down this old guy's cheeks watching that performance! Best cover ever. Then listen to the album version as well. Maybe album first!
I was about to leave the same comment. Such a beautiful tribute!
yes X10
I love watching the genuine reactions of this guy to the music of my generation. Priceless.
you could always tell how truly good a band was by how respectful the audience was during the show.
At this concert...Just before they start this song Plant says "This is a song of hope"...This video doesn't show it but it is amazing how u said that in this video
True shit
It's a joke you people are so gullable, If you actually listen to the lyrics you'd realise hes literally singing about satan enticing him onto the road to hell. The whole songs a joke about how the band sold their souls to the devil for fame
Chacob If you read the lyrics it’s about a woman who is finding out money can’t you into heaven.
@@brendanearly6481 if you read the lyrics, you'll notice 'yes there are two paths you can go down, but in the long run, there's always time to change which road you're on' and 'the pipers calling you to join him'. That and plant literally said he felt 'a hand write out the first lyric of the song' and also the numerous musicians throughout history, Bob Dylan, Robert Johnson, many other blues and rock artists, arguably even Anthony from chillis (although I love chillis, don't get me wrong) when he writes 'under the bridge downtown, I gave my life away' it's so bloody blatant its just people are so blind
@@sledge2742 And yet you come to a reaction channel that does Stairway To Heaven to talk your bs, bet you have said the same thing on a lot Stairway To Heaven reactions. Too much toxicity. Enjoy everything while you can.
Made me feel a certain way too all those years ago. Thanks for letting me experience that again through you.
This is one of the best of the best ever songs. Classic forever. Jimmy Paige is his name, and he set a standard for guitarists the world over. 😁 So very glad you agreed.
Pres, the very beginning of this live version, the singer Robert Plant says "I think this is a song of hope". ✌
None of our modern rock bands would be here without Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, or Bob Dylan 🙌
💯💯💯
And none of those bands you listed would be here without the Beatles.
Bob Dylan would definitely be here without the beatles
@@deanparker5542 No, because Beatles also influenced Dylan for his electric period. So he would be here but not in the way that we know him. So I'm right, you're clueless. Beatles influenced basically everyone.
John Kevin Bob Dylan is one of the greatest lyricists ever to walk the earth, im not even a fan of him, but he would definitely still be here if the beatles didnt exist, you cant say definitively that he wouldnt be here because of how the beatles influenced him as an electric player even tho most of his most celebrated works are before his transition, i agree the Beatles influenced everything i mean they changed the world, but to say bob dylan wouldnt be here is clueless.
❤Led Zep❤
Great reaction. I've had this LP since it came out. 😎
This song doesn’t even need lyrics it will talk to you
Easily top 3 all time greatest songs all genres
hey please tell me the other two in your opinion since i heard this one i haven't found anything like it
Bah Fadel stairway is my number one, but try hotel california by the eagles, and simple man by skynyrd. Some of my other favs
@@bigbean6062 that's crazy, stairway is my favourite and them 2 are also up there for me as well. Try "nothing else matters" and "one" by metallica (I know they're a bit heavier but honestly 2 of the greatest songs ever produced"), the rain song by LZ, "won't get fooled again" by the who. Free bird is also up there for me just because of the solo
@@steverainingagain7956 novembar rain bohemian rhapsody dream on are up there 2 for me
@@bogdanadzic9305 i don't deny Stairway is most likely the best song ever to ever exist, but dream on bro. Dream On takes me to a place that fucking unbelievable, it's such a good song. and honestly, while it's not up there with all the ones listed above, Home Sweet Home by Motley Crue is an amazing song as well
As a 62-year-old woman that grew up with this music, I loved watching your reactions to this song. Rock on and peace out!
This is literally my most favourite guitar solo of all time.
Gilmour ...
Comfortably numb >>>>>>>>>
Yes I agree it's untouchable never to be duplicated love this song
Me too!
André Luiz I love this more than comfortably numb, even though I love comfortably numb of course
I have watched this more then ten times and I still get the same feeling as I've watched it for the first time.......truly one of the best bands to ever play.........I'm glad I grew up in an era where we had great music all around.......great reaction bro.
Haven't watch one of your videos in a minute clicked on this fast as hell, love this song....
Damn bro, me too haha
412xtaint Same here! The first and only one I watched was him reacting to Dazed and Confused. I always see his videos but they’re never Zeppelin. I was pleasantly surprised to see this.
The only thing I wish he had done different was listen to the studio version First
I cant even imagine how amazing this performance was in person...
Led Zeppelin - No Quarter Live [Song Remains the Same] is on a level with this, react to it Preston. More Led Zeppelin / Pink Floyd!!!
Like the studio version better. Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd put out some of the best rock ever!!
@Forgotten Remedies supertramp were brilliant 👌🏻
Can't believe you've never heard this one bra
JIMMY PAGE MAKING LOVE TO THAT DOUBLE NECK... ONE OF THE BEST SIGHTS I'VE EVER SEEN
My sentiments exactly!
bob gwilt he making that 1275 sing boi
Loved your comment on Plant stepping away to let Page take the spotlight. That's because it's Led Zep with four superstars. Check this below:
In a poll run by Planet Rock, 3,500 fans were asked to take a poll and vote for their favorite vocalist, guitarist, bassist and drummer of the ideal supergroup.
Interestingly enough, the winner of each category was a member of Led Zeppelin. Robert Plant won for best singer, Jimmy Page won for best guitarist, John Paul Jones won for best bassist, and John Bonham won for best drummer, making Led Zeppelin, already one of the greatest rock bands of all time, also the ultimate fantasy band. Presenter Trevor Dann said of the results:
"This is an amazing result. Listeners could have voted for any classic rock artists when creating their fantasy supergroup."
That is absolute quality!
Freddy is better
@@bogdanadzic9305 freddy is also awesome. Different style though. More operatic and technical less bluesy and emotional
@@Scoobydcs check love of my life thats rly emotional roberts voice didnt last long
@@bogdanadzic9305 freddy couldntdo since ive been loving you or baby come home and robert couldnt do somebody to love or innuendo, they were both GREATS and both loved each other.
Yeh roberts voice exploded in late 72 or early 73. Best hypothesis ive heard is he had a bad head cold and sang full bore anyway and this causes permenant damage to vocal chords. It was gradual it was a certain event that caused it whatever it was.
He sings great now though
Simply the GREATEST!!!❤😊❤😊❤😊
No kidding I have heard this over 10,000 times. Which is about as many clicks as this song will get in an hour.
Same. This and many other Zeppelin songs. I was a little obsessed 😂😈
Been to three zep shows...this version is weak compared to other live versions and of course the studio version, which was a miracle.
3 Zep shows too. I saw last US show ever in SF 1977 couple days before Karac died. Best show I ever saw of over 1000 concerts from all bands
Probably already been stated, but this song is constantly voted one of the best rock songs of all time, if not the best! It’s just pure genius
You wanna "Feel some kinda way"?
Led Zep studio version then live version in a double shot -

This was always the last song played at our school dances. A 7min slow dance, with a boy. That was like going to heaven as a teen. Lol
Please react to When the Levee Breaks... a literal banger from Led Zeppelin
My dad introduced me to Zeppelin when I was 8, I'm 25 now and I love them since then
You need to check out their live version of "Whole Lotta Love" from "The Song Remains The Same". It'll drop your jaw to the floor.
mortensen1961 Agreed!!!
Try on the 2007 remastered version of that ua-cam.com/video/NrUHvPgxlcw/v-deo.html Listen to the descending ......drone...... at 1.50. It is different from the original release. You too might seek a Jimmy Page Dragon Suit to wear at your next party. The ladies will be asking... Pssttt... WTF is he wearing? Then you grab an EDS 1275 and ROMP. Dance Across The Stage Like Jimmy Page. It's not enough to absorb the cool with just some audio. Go for the real deal. Cocaine isn't the only drug that can make your hair stand up. Then imagine you are 23 years old commanding the world of Rock at Madison Square Garden. The same place you flew over earlier in the day in your own jet. He has already been to Mars and lived to tell the story.
@Mike Forti That was meant for the OP.
@Mike Forti I play WLL from the original TSRTS release on guitar. It's a good workout.
I believed he never heard this before when he called Jimmy Page “the guy with the guitar”! That blew my mind
Jimmy is the master
my god, jimmy page is so damn beautiful, just magical...like no other.
Jimmy Page is beyond words....truly beyond words. He actually did make this song...he is a musical virtuoso
Page was number one Rock Blues guitarist. He was greater than Zappa Greater than Hendrix and Greater on slide guitar than Skydog. He has no equal.
A young black man rockin out to Led Zepplin. What a time to be alive.
What an ignorant statement...Zep were heavily, heavily influenced by the blues. Great music is great music, and people who love music and have good taste recognize what they love in any genre of music, regardless of race. Jimi Hendrix would also like a word with you...rock and roll is by no means a white thing.. I will agree that it's great to see any person being introduced to quality music they had previously been unfamiliar with.
@@bryanneilan8947 tell emm🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿
Bryan Neilan think about the age gap that’s why he is probably saying that this song came out in 1971 but if he’s trying to be funny and or racist the fuck him music is for all not just color of your skin
Led Zeppelin called themselves a "Blues" band, and were influenced heavily by Leadbelly and Muddy Waters.
Bryan Neilan so rap isn’t just black music then right?
That dude on the guitar... The iconic jimmy page. Accept no substitute✌
Simply the best of all time!!
Preston my man, you have just witnessed God playing a guitar!!
More Led Zeppelin please and please do some Rush and Boston reactions. You will love these two bands as well.
And Todd Rundgren, and Moody Blues, and Grand Funk Railroad !!!
Dude even if you don't react, you have to listen to more zep. Listen to the studio version. This is one of the greatest songs of all time.
And albums its when metal started to me
Yeah, nothing compares to the studio version of "Stairway to Heaven." It is sublime.
Your responses and experiences with these songs gives me hope and an unbelievable amount of joy. You know how to interpret music and you are open to music’s pure influence on the soul. This is why people tune into your channel, not everyone has the gifts towards music that you possess. I am so proud to call you my Brother!
Achilles Last Stand - live at Knebworth, Kashmir - live at Knebworth - legendary performances, absolutely smokes this.
I second this. I wouldn’t compare the two but the knebworth Achilles performance is a fucking bulldozer.
I enthusiastically Third !!!! This documentary was necessary, but It does not convey this bands skills or this song's hypnotic transformative effect...
Yesss!
Yes yes yes!!!
