Yep the Marines have arrived in style might I add. That was the best flyby ever. We Annapolitans are so use to the yearly Blue Angel show and practices this is norm for navy town.
Nope. In '92 John Snevely('80) brought a Flight of A-6s about even with the lower edge of the upper deck ( this was before the big scoreboard was there at the North end). I was in the 5th Row on the second deck looking straight across at the cockpit. THAT was the best. No one will ever match it.
@@akcita1Really?,. That's pretty high compared to Ray Hanna's efforts in Spitfires. Look for the one from Goodwood, and the one that inspired Alain DeCadenets stream of swearing in surprise (he was a very well spoken gentleman, usually,..)
I remember being at that game for the fly over. Best one ever. You could feel the wind off the wings and the heat of the afterburners. I was on the grass at the end-zone.
I can not believe I found this video. This is not fake. I just happened to be at that football game sitting next to the light tower that the jet went arround. What an awesome site to behold!!!! srl
My family and me were at this game, wow, that was low and very loud. Been to many Navy football games but we always talk about that TCU game, it was something.
That's an F/A-18, an airplane flown only by the Navy and Marines. So my guess is that the pilot...Major somebody...is probably a US Marine. Makes some sense considering it's a Navy football game, no?
Also flown by the Swiss, Canadians, Australians, Finns, Spanish, Malaysia and Santa Clause. Still love the old classics, kinda sad the Blue Angels moved onto the super. But also not that sad.
Hell, yeah !!!!!! Give me more of that, however its a good bet that this was this young pilots last flyover experience “ever” I would add that most likely he was grounded, and flying a desk for the foreseeable future.
I’m 38 years old and just now for the first time I realized and understand where the term grounded comes from. It never made sense to me until now. Thank you.
@maintem Andrews AFB, I'm pretty sure he said. He said his rank was Major, so if that's the case, the plane "was" from VMFA-321 Hell's Angels. The squadron is gone now.
Hearing the crowd cheering in this video is really loud. But the f18 jet that fly so low and then whacked its afterburners right on was absolute deafening and ear-splitting. That flyover could have done serious damage to most of the fans ears in that stadium. Many of their ears could be ringing after the game I think.
It's a Navy aircraft, and the Navy does not have Majors (the equivalent rank in the Navy is a lieutenant commander), but there are plenty of cross-service opportunities for Air Force officers to fly Navy aircraft and vice versa.
Change your fucking UA-cam name because you've clearly never served in the Military let alone been an F-15 pilot. "But I'm such a big fan though!" Change it.

I'm pretty sure it was his last flight before he retired. He knew it would ground him but it didn't matter.
greggsovereasy if that’s the case then ALL flyovers should be by guys who are retiring then!!!!
Maverick doesn't get grounded.😁

Nope it was right before 9/11 And he got deployed. Swept under the rug

More of a fly through than a fly over. By through, I mean the uprights.
Find the TCU-Navy game on video. You see it even closer at press box level.
Mav....Do you have that number to that truck driving school...Truck Massa
Now that's the proper way to do it
Prepare to Run!
Hell yeah!!!
No way he didn't get grounded after this 😂😂😂
100% bro I was just about to say that lmao
Look at the date... September 2001...
@@whalermikesthis was september of 2000
I just saw a story on this. He was grounded for a few weeks then retired.
Damn he was low
Fly Navy
He was from the airforce, and name was Major Mik.......
The pilot was a Marine.
holy fuck!

loser...move to Canada.
Wow !!!!!
So baws.
Major Micheal Who ?😅
Kenny
Also because there isn't a major in the navy D:
But there is a Major in the Marines.....
Low and slow. Is that you Dusty?
Why is the hook down?
The same reason he's flying so low, trying to snag some pussy
Mike Mac has somethin too do with drag compensation
@@mrandrossguy9871 Ha no it doesn't :D The hook down has no affect what so ever on the aircraft performance at that speed.

But there are Majors in the Marine Corps... and they fly the F-18
Adam Howard
F/A-18, to be more accurate.
It's a Marine aircraft as well there bud which is why you see him flying with his balls out.

Photoshop Pro flyby
This looks so fake, the movement is weird, there's no smoke, and the lights are all wrong.
Fake... Right. And the earth is flat and chemtrails can be seen from every airliner in the sky and the sun circles the earth.
Sorry it's not fake.. This is my footage from that game..
I was at the game! You had to be there.
@@tomterry6447Me too! What a memory
HO-LY FUCK!

I live about 10 mins away from the academy. I can assure you...its not.
