- I'm probably one of the few that are unironically looking forward to the movie, not because I think it will be good but just because I want to see the monsters in action lol.

The admiral being so casual about just meeting someone speaking a language he doesn't understand and going "Oh cool, welcome hunter" has so much "welcome, random HR999 japenese hunter, let's go hunt togueter!" energy I love it

Ironic considdering he was nothing but nice, just a little ruff, she in the other Hand was kinda passive aggressive.
If the Rathalos is already this big, imagine Plesioth and it's hit box.

The Rathalos is around 40-45 m long, Plesioth 30-35. Hes allready not to fare away. Also 3U has a gigantic Green Plesioth whit Archtempered Damage.

And you can have the Monoblos theme in your bedroom... Instead of putting it directly in the game 🤦🏻♂️.

@@Soul-Sketched Yeah but what they do is not right. People were waiting for many monsters like the Seregios, the Gore Magala, the Astalos, the Steel Wind Nargacuga etc... And they put monster themes that we don't have in the game.

This event when she back in time, thats why admiral can speak english in the movie because he learn from the book from her

I love how they perfectly encapsulated the way the world of monster hunter is viewed differently in the movie than in the game. The movie sees it like a post apocalyptic action film while the game is a wonderful exploration of the world's environment and circle of life. To the characters in the game hunting monsters is a exciting action packed experience and they revel in it. The movie doesn't represent this aspect at all.
In layman's terms, the captain say that huge rathaloz and went fuck yeah let's hunt that thing while the main character from the movie seemed to hate the fact it wasn't dead.
Yeah that & I hated the whole horror elements they put into it, which was unnecessary & doesn't represent the Monster Hunter World.
This quest is much better than the movie itself, though the game itself is a million times better than both lol :P

When I did the quest, I forgot to turn subtitles back on so I had to use context clues for what the admiral was saying. Thanks for posting this with the cutscenes Canta.

So in the old game they used Fatalis theme in the generic zone battle theme?

One of the titles you get is "Sky Tower" which is ominously similar to the infamous Sky Corridor, which is a huge tower that no one has ever seen the summit of.

Old desert music and forest and hills music is pretty sweet, and I like that they recorded so much dialogue for Artemis; makes the quest more unique.
Also that Rathalos is ENORMOUS.

Legit good movie tie in, surprisingly good effort having some actual story involved with the time loop.
The reason behind this rathalos being so big is that it may be the first time that we see a monster with the "correct" scale according to the in-game lore. The monsters we fight in the game normally are super scaled down to the hunter but this may be the first time we see how big they should really be.

Listening to the music of MHFU, I can't believe it is already 10 years ago. My first MH game, which I initially tried being carried up to G-rank by my brother, then put down (because I sucked) before starting all over again solo the next year and sticking to the franchise since then. It is quite outdated now, but I will never sell it. Apparently, it is the game which caught the interest of Paul Anderson as well. Maybe a good sign.

@@alfredoamendez4299 Likely. The plot is a bit lackluster. With the Fatalis update, maybe doing a movie about Shrade demise would have been more interesting. Also, choosing a director who played MH and is a fan (even if he is unknown to the public) would have been safer for a good movie. I will wait for a spoiler-free review before committing to see it.

if her theory was right about traveling in the past. would that have to do with the storms and portals that we have seen from the game become unstable in the future? basically how the army run into monster world. sense she showed up in the game. it looks like that's the case in later games. hell a few monsters in that world look alien and the theory I up about them ending up in the monster world because of the portals. makes it more possible that it's not just a theory anymore.
It's impressive that they managed to make Mila Jovovich ugly lol.
I also unironically want to see this movie, people are way too focused on what the plot is, lets just sit back and watch some crazy monsters in action

@@awesomesauce5974 It was, dialogue with the Admiral and Chef in base World confirms that the Chef retired from his position as the Admiral's palico after his sword was broken during a hunt and then in Iceborne it was revealed that it was the Granmeowster Chef that was the one who inspired him to start cooking... still, it's nice seein' the two interact a bit more, innit?

I was burnt out of MHW by the time iceborne was out for a month. I had been playing since day one. Every week all of MHW. I'm dissapointed I missed this quest. Not for the armor but so I could have another cutscenes to watch 😂

Admiral seem to be voiced by the Japanese voice actor. I think they just want to save money for this event and kept it as one international dub. I assume the Japanese version and other language will have the same dub, but with subtitles of their own language.

Okay, so...
This is a prequel of sorts, where Artemis manages to do some wacky crazy time travel shit. The admiral learns her language, and then Artemis from the past ends up in the future. Some time dilation/warping, i take it.
Holly shit. so, the movie is tie to the game in some way????
Apparently it goes two ways. One, the movie is set in the MHW universe we know and us, the hunters, were probably doing something else and not with the handler and everybody else. At the very end, she is seen fighting with admiral and field team leader. Apparently in the game it continues sometime after the ending where Artemis gets split up from the admiral and field team leader. However, it seems that she gets teleported back in time before the admiral meets her. Hence supports the part where the admiral in the movie was able to speak English and stated someone else gave him a book to research the language.
Or....there are two universes of Monster Hunter, one of which we never existed but Artemis is basically the main character and kind of takes our place but from a different angle. And the universe she comes from is more darker and dangerous because vigor wasps, potions, and FLASHPODS or FLASHBANGS apparently don't exist. You'd think one of the soldiers had at least one flash bang.
Why do i get the feeling that after mh rise and stories 2 there's gonna be a sequel to mhw except without that character and the movie elements(idk how to explain it but hopefully y'all get what i mean)
Not really gonna be a World Sequel since that's literally iceborne but there will be a 6th generation mh title.
@@abandonedhouseshark93 well that's one speculation I have. The other is about safi'jiiva and relations with alatreon. Maybe safi'jiiva escapes the new world and goes to the old world to who knows where(possibly find more alatreons) and maybe see him turn into his final form as a black dragon? Idk that's just my speculation on it but u can let me know how u feel about it

@@jesusbarrera3141 then that's a long wait. We first have to finish gen 5 with Rise. But I highly doubt anything Jiiva related will ever happen. At best we might get the admiral as a cameo or something. They don't really carry over plots to other generations. There will be a new super strong monster that the community can argue is the "strongest" despite having never been called that by the devs.
