Conclusion: arrows and swords are more powerful than Gatling guns and rocket launchers..
Nevermind the excuse of the materials used. The sheer force of that mini-gun would have at least knocked it out. Let the army crew kill something, run out of bullets, then we go into the traditional MH weapons.

@@minorlover6938 lmao sure, have you seen how long it takes for desert snakes and species take to bury themselves? Sand is not air, not water, you can't simply dive right into it like you were at a public pool, let alone traverse hundreds of meters in few seconds.
The great sword looks so pathetically light weight which I get because it’s a prop but it just feels so wrong watching it be swung around as though it was as heavy as a base ball bat

it wasn't necessary, and not possible, because greatswords are cannonically around half a ton heavy for the bone set, something like deviljho greatswords on the other hand is around a ton, this thing isn't a greatsword.
If only they had a charge blade and knew how to guard point. The fight wif the diablos would be a cake walk.

And the fact that they brought the military into the world -.-. Like it would have been better if a kid's home was destroyed friends and family were hurt or died. He grows up training in the weapons of MH and seeks out Diablos but not before fighting other monsters to hone his skills not this military bs they couped up.
What I wanted: A movie about hunting monsters
What I expected: Usual Paul W.S. Anderson/Mila Jovovich power trip
What I got: What I expected, but with a stupid US army world jumping plot

Why does the Diablos try to eat them? In the lore, it says he's herbivore : his diet consists of cactus.
Diablos are crazy territorial. It didn’t want to eat the two, it wanted to kill them for trespassing on what it viewed as its land.
It's a black diablos, female diablos in heat and super aggressive towards any living thing that enters their territory

It's not really trying to eat them; it's trying to kill them.
Think of hippos. They don't eat people, but they will attack them with almost no provocation.

I have played waaay to much MHW to be able to enjoy the movie in any capacity.
I’ve played too much MH series games in general to enjoy this movie. The designs are spectacular, but the monsters behavior & the acting are just horrible.
Leave it to the director of the RE series to notch another CAPCOM title.

They are the stars of the franchise and not simple evil monsters. Rathalos for instance is a very common predator in their world yet the movie treats it like an Elder Dragon.

They didnt had much resources for the occasion they had make do with what they had.

It's a LAW , maybe it's a advance one for the movie I guess .
You know what would have been cooler? Simply about Jaa's character helping a larger group of soldiers survive in the desert instead of making it a glory-fest for Mila's character.
Guess this is one of the perks when your husband is the movie's director and he can keep casting you in the lead of all his high-budget movies.

Dioblos is my favorite monster so seeing this betrayal hurts
I'll give them credit the vfx is actually very good
They spent waaay too much time on the sand with Diablos and those spiders . They could have spent more time on the exploration of the jungle, collecting valuable hunting tools.. Etc and coming across a few more more monsters..well . At least she is human in this flick and not Alice like doing impossible backflips and exploding motorcycles.
That would probably double or triple the budget.

Honestly, this movie had me up until the end. The crew she meets later in the movie should be all the other people who had been lost to the MH realm throughout history. People from our world now trapped and having to study the monsters to survive and hopefully escape.

Hunters, take note! Don't bother pumping Diablos full of bullets from rifles and gatlings all day, blowing up its face with grenades, shooting it in the eye with a poisoned arrow, or even shoot it in the face with a bazooka. Instead, just land on its head and use your tired human strength to shove a sword of bone through its armoured skull in one go.
Should have go for True Charged Slash instead mehh
@@nantanatsemarat411 I was hoping to see the movie do a rendition of the sword/shield weapon setup. I used that a lot in MHW. Nothing like tanking a hit like that tail strike with a shield block.... yeah... gotta be cautious there. shit like Xeno'jiva will fry you if you try to block some of their attacks.

That carapace she carved off diablos is huge. Here I thought we brought home scales the size of dinner plates but no we’re actually carrying monster hide the size of doors.
Canon is that 1 monster I usually more than enough to make several sets of armor and weapons
@@spidudetoo1212 and the in game explanation is that you aren't the only hunter in a village, not even by a long shot, and you're canonically not even the best one in the place, usually. every hunter you meet online is considered to be a resident of the village or fleet depending on the game. so the reason it takes you multiple hunts is because communism, basically lol. you personally get access to a handful of parts, the rest goes to the village for their equipment, not just for hunters but the general day to day life technology of the village as well.
it'd be nice if now and then, when playing online with other hunters, you'd occasionally get monster parts from their hunts even if you didn't participate in it. just to really make this obvious. but eh, video games.
Bazooka is a line of sight weapon not a weapon that locks on any type of signature!
You are correct about the bazooka, however in this movie what she pulled out was a LAW launcher, which also has no form of guidence.

I thought ppl was just hating on this movie but after seeing this as a former mh4u player I can say this made me çry from how bad it was 1 Diablos is WAY faster than what we have seen

As a former mh4u player, you should know that Diablos is a herbivore.
I remember that plum daimyo hermitaur is wearing a diablos skull on its back and that crab always make my sharpness go red cuz it keeps on facing backwards it made me quit being a great sword main and there is this scene 😡
My biggest disappointment about this is the fact that they teased us with gore magala in the trailer only for him to be a freaking last minute cameo in the actual movie
They could've easily used it as the explanation to the Rathalos being so agressive
probably ran out of budget, If they ever make another MonHun movie they better stick to the game cuz the military thing was just annoying asf. Atleast the hunters are in the movie.
Edit: actually, you know what... let someone who actually knows or tries to learn monhun to direct the movie and idk maybe let them have Marvel type of budget, that would be good even though it seems impossible

I found it hard to suspend my disbelief. I mean, I could totally accept a monster this size. In essence a burrowing Balrog, I think I could imagine that without spraining something.
But having the protagonists thrown around like that, kicked 60 feet through the air and not even landing softly, and still not only surviving, but ready to get up and fight? Don't see that happening.
