Great reaction! I can't imagine why the #HomeFries haven't already swarmed you on this one, it's definitely a fan favorite! (Probably they were just distracted because #HomeFree released their cover of Folsom Prison Blues by Johnny Cash today. :-) ) Anyway, I've enjoyed these four #HomeFree videos you've reacted to. Glad I found your channel. :-) One of the reasons this one is such a fan favorite is because it really showcases their versatility. Plus there's that delicious surprise of their bassist (Tim Foust) singing tenor at the start and their baritone (Adam Chance, called Chance for short to avoid confusion with the beatboxer, Adam Rupp) dropping that low note later on. Austin Brown's high tenor lead in the chorus is nothing short of angelic and Rob (other tenor, with the beard) does his usual beautiful work, plus adding in some sweet ad libs and taking lead on the one section. Adam Rupp is an amazing beatboxer and he certainly killed it on this. And then, there at the end, you have those beautiful rounds. It's just a great song and their version of it is indeed wonderful while beautifully showcasing their talents. Thanks so much for these reactions. Please do check out more. I know others have mentioned the "Butts Remix" and that is a really fun one to check out. Other fun ones are "Hillbilly Bone," an original "Champagne Taste (On a Beer Budget)", their recent "Down to the Honky Tonk" and their cover of "All about that Bass." If you want to go more serious/straight a cappella , then my personal recommendations are "Helplessly Hoping," "Auld Lang Syne," "How Great thou Art" and "Country Roads." But their recent releases have been very entertaining and show just how creative they can be, even during a pandemic. Really, it's a great rabbit hole to explore. :-) Enjoy it!
Tim's range is phenomenal...it's over 5 octaves. The addition of Chance who can lay down a great bassline has really allowed Tim to play more with his upper registers/
Yep, that's Tim singing the mid-tenor solo. Austin retains the highs--Tim's got five octaves, but he still can't chase Austin up into the stratosphere. They had fun with this one, giving Chase a chance to show that he's mid-tenor-baritone-bass, not just mid-tenor-baritone. So he got to show off his growly notes. Rob takes background for a change, which is generous. And Adam, as always, is amazing. The song itself is fascinating: an anti-love-song without being a hate song. They are all so generous, as team members and as a group. They give each other chances to show off and strut and show their swag. They work together and make each other look good. And they give the listeners a song that's not just showing off, it's *interpretation* of lyrics and themes.
Yes Home Fries generally like for people reacting and not knowing Tim's range to listen to a lot of their other songs first because it makes that initial reaction to Tim singing tenor all the better. And then Chance coming in with the solid bass shows their amazing range.
I love you reactions to HF. And this is probably my favorite they do. Adam is a beast and you get so caught up you forget he’s carrying all the percussion and it’s not a kit. They’re so clean.
Great reaction! They make this song so full, and their own. It’s so fun to see the confusion when you realize, “Hey, isn’t that Tim who sings bass?!” 🤔
I am a huge Home Free fan. I don’t think I’ve missed any of your reactions to them. I get on UA-cam every morning to check for channels reacting to them during the night. I cannot subscribe to every channel that reacts to HF. I’m not a Pentatonix fan, Voice Play or Voctave, definitely do not like dimash or Angelina....just not my style (?). Please keep in mind that I just turned 59 and there are many genres of today that I just can’t or don’t want to listen to. But I’m here for your HF reactions.👍🏼👍🏼
Awesome reaction !!! Mayday is one of my very favorite Home Free covers. Dude you are right these guys really know how to make the best of what they were given. Also big kudos to Adam Rupp the beatboxer he really SHINED in this one. React next to one of their 3 "masterpieces" so you can really hear their harmonies in full bloom - How Great thou Art or Helplessly Hoping, or Auld Lang Syne. Your ears will love you for it
Greetings from dont worry the fries are coming , the problem for me is that it is the middle of the night over here , but i am not missing a HF reaction LOL
Loved your reaction! Homefree is amazing! They kill every song! And you are right the first guy Tim is there bass, but he has a 5 octave range I believe so a very versatile vocal range. Keep up the great reactions! Stay safe and healthy!
I love this cover by them, but mostly because I have a gigantic crush on Chance lol... I'm not deranged, I'm sure he's in a serious relationship with someone, but this girl can fantasize lol. Nice reaction!!
I'm loving your Home Free reactions! They just dropped a new one this weekend, Folsom Prison Blues, a cover of Johnny Cash. I'm gonna keep asking for a reaction to their mashup of Fishin' in The Dark/Boondocks tho. It's a great arrangement and a fun video.
Doing it today Thanks! I just released a LINKIN Park cover for hitting 10K subs, would love for you to check it out.... ua-cam.com/video/O7BoF-Uk628/v-deo.html
Wow! I have listened to maybe everyone reacting to this but your reaction might be the best! You completely keyed in on every nuance, every emotion, every little thing that makes their songs as you said, more than the music!! Thanks so much and keep Home Free coming! Take care.
Loved your reaction and your growls! : ) Yes, Home Free is amazing. They are so versatile. You’re right, Tim is the bass but is singing tenor in this. He has a 5 octave range. They just did a cover of Johnny Cash’s song Folsom Prison Blues and you’ll see Tim drop some deep notes. Also would recommend watching a video of Misty Mountains with Peter Hollens from the movie the Hobbit. In it Tim’s low note at the end shakes the camera. Peter loves to do multiple tracks and it’s just the two of them singing. Keep enjoying Home Free.
"Hold up, let's hit that one more time, man." Lol, the first time I heard that, I hit it, like, fifty more times before I stopped and let myself listen to the rest of the song XD
If you love pure talent and vocals and react to home Free I am a fan of yours. Great reaction. Subscribing for sure. Thanks for this one. You are in for a ride with the versatility of these 5/6 greats. Glad I found you.
Thank you very much for another cool reaction, this really is a great song and performance, quite apart from the part-swapping. 😀 You've had some great recommendations, and I won't add to the list, but I certainly look forward to watching more Home Free with you.
This is a wonderful cover. i appreciate your reaction and energy. Please keep going with home free. I think you'd love In The Blood their cover of John Mayer's song. thx
Want a little change up? Try " Thinking Out Loud" Ed Sheeran/Marvin Gaye cover. Also "End of the Road" Boys 2 Men cover, " Cruise" from The Sing Off, "I want Crazy" from The Sing Off, " Your Man" Live In Concert ( Tim blows out the sound system) "Hillbilly Bone" live in concert! To see how all the sounds are made check out " Adam Rupp Live Solo" from apprx 2014 - 2016 he is AMAZING! Thank you very much!
Speaking of God’s gift, you’d definitely love their cover of How Great Thou Art. It’s total harmonic beauty.
So awesome that Tim can now use his upper range with Chance covering bass!!
Great reaction! I can't imagine why the #HomeFries haven't already swarmed you on this one, it's definitely a fan favorite! (Probably they were just distracted because #HomeFree released their cover of Folsom Prison Blues by Johnny Cash today. :-) )

They never cease to amaze ❤️

Welcome to the world of Tim's 5+ octave range. Chance, the dude with bass here has 4+ octave range.
