This maneuver IRL is known as a Loaded Roll, basically a high AoA barrel roll. It's something the plane could technically do but could and should are two different things.
Totally. You'd get to do it ONCE (assuming the wings didn't come off), then you've bled all your energy and speed off and are just sitting there.
@@rocketassistedgoat1079 It has its uses but the lack of fly-by-wire makes recovery sketchy, not to mention as mentioned, yes you can easily run into over G situations.

@@rocketassistedgoat1079 IT does not, thats why at high aoa you dont use stick for rolling, but rudder. F14 can do barrell roll opposite way than steerimg input (at certain conditions)

Trying something like that on a Real F-14 would probably break something or at minimum get you yelled at by all the maintenance crew.
I'm pretty sure the maintenance crew would string you up and beat you

Since it’s an F-14A the engine compressors would definitely stall leading to engine failure. And at that altitude that means either eject or die

I wonder if it has something to do with the sweep wings? The MiG-23, also uses spoilers, so maybe their designers came to the same conclusion. I'll add, that elite MiG-23 pilots, can go 1-1 vs MiG -29s in mock dogfights. Mikoyan added his own requirement, which went above and beyond the design brief: he made sure it could turn inside an F-4 Phantom, which he was personally impressed by. Of course, a MiG-23 is a third generation jet, MiG-29 and Tomcat, are forth gen.

the F-105 also uses spoilers when rolling, and that doesn't have swing-wings. It uses both spoilers and ailerons when rolling
@@mr.sunmeadow probably because of a similar reason. When the wings were slicked back there is very little air for an aileron to interact with and the same holds true for the starfighter with it's little stubs.

I am sure that if War thunder would just reskin the f-14 and make it an f-15 everyone would like ''WOW new aircraft, so epic'', while the flight models in War thunder are all the same unrealistic low quality flight models (for newer generation aircrafts mostly, some of their ww2 aircrafts aren't bad at all but there isn't a single jet that is even close to be called semi realistic, yeah doing some 15Gs on max afterburner for the whole game without going out of fuel and not ripping your wings apart) There is just so much overrated hype for a new aircraft that just is a new skin basically in this game, unlike something like DCS where a new aircraft REALLY means new aircraft and not just a skin.
That's not skill. That's just the physics being terrible. Wouldn't surprise me if this was with the instructor on as well.

For those wondering how to do this
1. Use full real control
2. go anywhere between 400-600 kph
3. Pull elevators all the way back, ailerons and rudders all the way to the right
4. As you are finishing the maneuver, do the opposite of the above.
5. If you are using bombs, set bomb fuse to 0, and don't accelerate until after the bombs explode.
This does very nice in the A10 as well 😀

This was possible in the Tomcat due to the lack of a Flight computer, so if u pulled too hard it would enter a stall. But not recover

F-14A famous for having comprerssor stall problems when the airflow into the intakes is disturbed. Meanwhile that manouever. But Damn impressive manouever. Probably best to not do it in real life tho 😅
