Fun fact: in reality the A-10 is made to still fly on one wing, Gaijan probably changed that for balance
Unfortunately this is a pretty common misconception about the A-10. Sure, it has been known to return to base with a lot a components heavily damaged but with one wing? That's a stretch. The airframe doesn't provide enough lift to be able to function with only one. However there have been cases of F-15s being able to fly with one wing, as well as being more likely with the F-16. This is possible due to the airframes of those aircraft creating way more 'body lift'.
@@hyacinpollo3424yup, it's not possible due to the A10's power output and weight, however it CAN fly with one and a HALF wing, but not just one wing
Yep, it's designed to fly on one engine, half of the tail, one elevator and half of a wing missing
WT often lets you land with half of the wing cut off so all good there
@@TheWitcherX Do they? I will get shot and not even set on fire, and gaijin will say I lost all control of the plane. Even though I'm pretty sure the A-10 is designed so if it lost hydraulic pressure that it can still fly. Fly by wire or something

Fly by wire system means that pilot's control inputs are converted to digital data, the data goes to the computer, computer interprets it and sends the signal through wires to hydraulic components instead of pilot yanks on the stick and physical steel cable yanks the rudder or pushes liquid in a hydraulic pipe like in props
And you're right that A10 can fly without hydraulics irl, it can disable the fly by wire and go oldschool via cables and pulleys like ww2 props, guess gaijin just didn't model it cuz it happens to me as well, one hit in hydraulics and plane becomes a brick
Maybe balancing, maybe bias (cuz su25 eats 300 bullets and keeps flying), maybe lazy, who knows

The SU25 is actually so frustrating. Almost to the point I wouldn't play at the BR if not for the fact that most SU25 players are god awful at the game and give easy kills.
su25 is annoying af but the R60MK love flares alot so they mostly need to dog fight and they arent good at it lol

I realized something:
You buy a sixty dollar premium, which is sometimes a straight copy and paste of a free vehicle or a slightly downgraded version. You then use this to grind for the upgraded 'free' version, which ends up having less income and more repair costs.

Naw its more like a small pistol, you wouldn't bring it out to an AR fight to kill multiple people, but can easily defend itself

@@HenryMH. To be fair, they can be outfitted with a2a capabilities. Considering the performance of modern a2a I don't see really how any airframe is better than another (with the exception of stealth technology and boiling down to whoever is in the seat) because most of these missiles are nearly impossible to avoid. Electronic warfare helps with neutralizing SAMs, but every plane is at a disadvantage to IR, semi-active and active radar missiles.
@@EncrypticMethods You also need speed. While it can be given A2A weapons and what not it's just not designed for that due to it being so heavy & slow. So, it's not really made for A2A.
It is just so slow in real life. And let's not forget, WT bumps their speed up by like 30% or something considering on how it is in real life.

This is the 2nd plane I aced the crew on just by playing it for 3 months.. it's ridiculous how easily you can carry games with this.
Only sad thing is, that, if ur team dies a bit early, you will face the whole enemy team at once, because you're coming late to the AO..

Nah that is because the premium A-10A is fully spaded, and it only shows stock stats on the A-10A late stat card, when the A-10A late is spaded it has the exact same stats.
@@sourrrrrrrr that’s true but I have both of them and I have the tt one spaded and I decided to do a test so I counted the time it took them to take off with a full load of fuel same armament and the premium one seemed a bit faster

if you didn’t know you can use the ballistic computer mid dog fight and it’ll act as the plane you’re trying to dog fight is the ground so it helps in turn battles

Most of my games in the a-10. Spawn. The rest of the server sees theres a slow a-10 and proceeds to all come and try dive/ strafe run me. I get 2-4 kills dodging headons with my aims. Su in my opinion. Given ive never flown it but having the speed and somewhat maneuverability to get to your destination or closer before being engaged is huge also those r60s are brutal
A10 late is only caus of one reason better. 4x AIM-9-LS instead of 2

2 9Ls for free better lift and turn rate than some jets and people complain, the only downside is engine power
So I am relatively new to the game and a buddy of minengave me his acount and he has top tier stuff and I was wondering if you have any tips for the a10 since I am thinking of grinding out the mods for it and I don't want to waste the 260k sl to crew and and then lose it all. I am asking for pointers on how to use it.
Play some props first from rank 3 and try different planes. Bombers/attackers and fighters. Find out what youre playstyle is. I am grinding for the a10 play mostly fighters and find attackers for ground targets a nice change after playing few games as a figter

Although i do feel like they are about the same there are a couple smaller refences i can notice like the A-10 Late can carry 4 A-A missles while the A-10 Early can only carry 2. The A-10 Late also has more choices for types of bombs and other stuff.
