My neighbors laughed at me when i used my blower to clear the snow. I went out several times to blow it to keep it down. It so saved my back from shoveling the snow. Keep doing what you are doing your videos are enjoyable.

I was looking for a lightweight blower for my deck. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxgioZQl3J5wPGAeDINzbieKbT5qomSEx3 There are some huge trees around my house and the leaves and pods drop all over my deck. Having to move furniture around to sweep has become too big a chore. This blower was the answer. It is light enough for this 70yr old lady and powerful enough to blow all the tree droppings off my rather large deck. Thank you B&D. Be aware the cord is not included. I use a 3 prong outdoor cord 25' cord for my 12' x 20' deck. The cord retainer works very well, but don't try to pass the plug through it. That is NOT how it works. You just have to loop the cord and it works great. One of my best purchases. Very happy.

Bought this for my small back deck in the Eastern Sierra. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxoHYZbq5g9fkcAtinlTqstNlje-UQkCHN We get A LOT of HEAVY snow so I was a bit skeptical but it was worth it! After the first storm of the year this has exceeded expectations! It throws snow very well, even 10-12” + that said the more it piles up the harder it is to maneuver the machine. It is exceptionally light weight and overall exactly what I was looking for. If you have a large amount of snow and a lot of area to clear, you may consider something with a drive engine to help maneuverability, but for decks, second stories, roofs etc, you can’t beat the light weight to great snow throwing ratio. Side note, the chute rotator is a bit flimsy and it initially didn’t seem to work, after a few uses it seems to have loosened up.

In your area of the country that is feasible. Here in North Dakota on a normal winter that would almost never work for either. HAHA. Walk behind snow blowers or commercial snow blowers is what is needed here. Glad that either one works for you!

The blower would only work if the snow is ice cold and fluffy. In Ohio we have to get out the snow blower. It’s been a nasty winter. Try and stay warm and be careful shoveling. Don’t want a heart attack.

Try an Ergonomic handled shovel next time😉
Also in my case, i have found the blower on my Stihl Kombi works really well for light, un-windpacked snow falls. If we get wind with the snow the blower is useless.
I have been useing an Ergonomic Garrant rink shovel this winter for my snow removal, & it has been really good so far. The blade has bolts on it, so, i think you can replace the blade once it has worn out.

I have the Echo 580T backpack blower, and broke her out yesterday to do the drive and walks, roughly an inch and half of powder. My observation, if the snow is powder, like it was yesterday, it will work, but still lacks the oomph of the larger units. It did OK, but having the larger unit would have been much faster, which of course should be obvious. If your intentions are a year round unit, purchase the highest HP/CFM unit you can afford. I would not recommend the 580T for anything other than light dry powdery snowfall. Go get the 9010

Yeah it's a great idea. I use an electric toro model. Can't get snow that's been impacted by car tires but just don't drive on the snow until you clean it. Sure would save us a lot of hassle.

Work smarter and not harder. Even if you gotta shovel a snow blown driveway, you’re just pushing the leftovers and not breaking your back. Also it looks cleaner and it seems like you won’t be getting crusts of ice the next day from the patches of snow stuck and melted.

That’s the wrong shovel and technique. You don’t want to be moving snow across your already cleared area as you just end up working more. If you get the right shovel like the extra wide snow plow shovel you can move a lot of snow fast and then do fast and easy cleanup on the stuff that spills over.

This is a blog entry, from a Douglas Morton, on a video about a second case of stolen equipment, this time some kind of trailer: Hey Stanley, (Almost retired cop here), a few things that might help catch these guys, (which you may already know)... 1. Video - If the businesses around you can turn a camera onto your equipment, it might be beneficial to LEO's in catching them. If there are no cameras, set up your own. Trail cameras with low intensity infrared is very affordable. You can set them up for still shots, interval shots, and video recording. And you don't have to check them every day. If you can't get one pointed at your equipment, see if you can install them at access points to catch plate #'s and suspect vehicles approaching or leaving. 2. GPS Tracking Devices - These are now available on the internet believe it or not. If the battery holds and you can find a place to hide it, set up a few of your pieces with them. You can track down your gear and call your LEO's when you find it. 3. Spread the word to the businesses around your storage areas. You would be surprised to find out that someone saw something or someone that might help catch your bad guys. 4. Your LEO's - Ask for patrol checks from the law enforcement agency that covers the area where you store your gear. Often times, patrol officers will make that area their new report writing area and park there in addition to checking the area often. 5. Latent Evidence Processing - Advise your LEO's that your company has been hit pretty hard with thefts. Ask if they can process for latent fingerprints and more importantly, latent DNA evidence. Its pretty easy to do, but they will need 'known samples' from any of your crew that touches the equipment regularly to rule them out. 6. - Alarms - There are small high pitched electronic alarms that you can install, (hopefully in a hard to get area), where you set the contacts on hatch panels, door access areas, etc. When the circuit is broken, the alarm screams loudly, (deafeningly). Its a good deterrent, especially if they can't get to where the alarm unit is hidden. I hate to see good people getting victimized. I hope that you get your equipment back, and I sure hope that bad guys get caught!

Couple things. Snow blower isn't going to work on wet heavy snow. Two, When shovelling, why not start in the middle and push to the edges while standing straight up? You're doing a lot of extra work.

I have someone who cleans my snow and a few other elderly neighbors. Ask him if I got a snow blower, would he use it. He said with the light fluffy it just didn't get to the bottom cleanly and with the heavy wet snow (which is what we get mostly), it just clogs up. He prefers his shovel. Wonder what he would think of a leaf blower. Will have to ask him.

Always wear gloves, always go with the wind. Use a stiff broom to sweep that cement and the cold weather will dry it. From then on out as long as it is freezing temperatures it will be easy to clean. I do this method without a blower every year on a sidewalk and incline driveway. Now I want a blower.

If I could offer a piece of advice from someone who grew up in Finland, you need better "shovel". Google lumikola, that's what we used and it's much better than just having a regular shovel. I just thought everyone had those things but then again if you get snow once every 5 years, no one probably cares.
