Can a High Powered Leaf Blower Replace a Snow Blower?

- Do I need a snowblower, or can I get away with a leaf blower. I live in an area that has an average annual snowfall of 45 inches and I don't have a snowblower. I might be crazy, but I'll tell you why.

I was surprised how well that worked. That Stihl is a beast. I bought a blower that attaches to the front of my Cub Cadet lawn tractor. It is super powerful, and can throw the snow 30 feet. Most of the time, however, I just use a good shovel. The tractor is heavy and leaves ice tracks. Nor does it do a very good job of scraping all the way down to the pavement. If I had to do it all over again, I would have bought a big walk behind.
I had a blower for the front of a Wheel Horse garden tractor and that was awesome, but it did have the downfalls you mentioned. Also, at the time I had a separate garage to store it in...they take up quite a bit of space when not in use.
I'm in a downsizing/simplify mode now...we will see how long that lasts =)
Satisfaction!!!
Oh yeah!
Sweet 😊
Another option is to move somewhere that doesn't get snow =)
It’s the powder type of snow bet it would not work if it was slightly wet or more 4 inch deep
I used it pretty much all winter. It doesn’t do as well with wet snow but can still move it.
All fine and good...try it on wet snow...
Yes, have to use a shovel a few times a year.
What is the CFM of the snow blower you are using?
It's Stihl's largest blower, 912 cfm.
You think that’s something try your pressure washer on even 6 in deep leaves this fall
That sounds crazy but amazing, I’ll have to try that. I bet a pressure washer would work amazingly well in snow if you can keep things from freezing.
