Dark Justiciar betray Shar is gutwrenching. Of all three forsake Shar endings that one is by far the worst for her. But it's also one of the most interesting because Shadowheart actually gets her memories back and it tears her up inside
Does the Spear of Evening lose its power or anything like that if you betray Shar to save the parents at the last moment, or do you keep the power for some reason? You can't get the other version with the Nightsong dead, I assume.
What happens to her romance with MCH (Main Character) after the war? I rememeber she told that she want to live in a small house out of the town, growing plants, breed animals and spear it with MCH
Technically, it depends on if you gave up her parents or not. If you gave them up, she'll say that she's not sure exactly what path she should take for her life now, and you can offer her to come with you, which she gratefully accepts, admitting that she was hoping you'd offer. If you saved her parents, she'll still want to live with them, and offer for you to join them, if you'd like.
How do you trigger the quests? So far she’s shared a memory from childhood, has high approval and completed act 1. Do I need do anything else before going into act 2? New to the game and trying to do every companion quest. Help will be greatly appreciated🙃
My opinion on the companions reacting to betraying Shadowheart to a slow and painful death: Astarion - yeah, that’s the “best” I could expect him to say… Lae’zel - aww, she really does care… Gale - wow, WOW. Gale can be more of a prick than I realized. Karlach and Wyll’s reactions weren’t shown, but knowing them, I’d assume they were a well justified “what the hell, bruh?!” to Tav.
I take Gale's reaction trying to weigh the benefits from the loss. Tav did agree to handing Shadowheart over to Viconia, and Gale has to accept the exchange now. He finds the irony in it, understands the new allies they gained in this exchange... and puts into perspective what it means to worship and betray Shar.
wait so if you follow the dark justicier path and betray star at the very end her parents live? how is that right? if you become a selune follower they die and turn into orbs? i dont get it
like ccc said you can choose. If you let shadow heart choose though the more common ending for if she betrays shar at the beginning she will let her parents go to peace.

It does not, and you can keep the DJ armor as well.

Did you get the scene after goblin camp? If so, nope Act 2 is the turning point :)

well you can still choose to save her parents as selune.
