Howdy all, there are multiple ways to romance Shadowheart but I covered the "good" ending. It is entirely possible to romance Shadowheart in an evil playthrough, choosing not to save the person/people in Act 2 or Act 3 will not lock you out of romance scenes, but the scenes will be different. Cheers!
So to get the good ending is a must that we have to take the mountains pass or can you go to the underdark?
@@JT-dj5hs You can go through the underdark, the mountain pass isn't needed, I just suggested because lae'zels quest is near there, might help get more approval from shadowheart if you don't side with certain dialogue options from the githyanki.

@MikkDouble also 1 more question I've got a quest for shadowheart called chosen of shar and it says locate some temple is that in the underdark or does the mountain pass take you to it aswell
Near the end of Act 2 you don't actually have to pass the Persuasion check. If you just ask her what she truly wants and step aside without pushing, it's enough. (Tried to be as spoiler free as possible here)

What If it doesn't give you any choice? After speaking to the night song, Shadow heart just uses the spear without giving the option to stop her. What did I do wrong and how can I fix it?
@@michael.l9637 you have to have very good to exceptional approval to be able to allow her to make her own decision, if you don't she’ll kill her without any convincing
From what I heard if you let her decide, she only picks the good option if you have a high approval/romancing her. I think if you have a low approval she will choose the bad option if given the chance. Can’t say for sure tho because i was unoriginal and was romancing her
So if you miss the romance scene with her in Act 1 at the party, you’re completely out of options for her in the game? she literally ADORES me now end of Act 2 and says things like “I’ll never meet someone like you again” yet I can’t even kiss her or ask her if she wants to be more?? That kinda sucks ngl I think this game is amazing but that is shitty ass game design lol

i was soo confused when i couldn't get anything from shadowheart during tiefling party, and after searching i understood that there is only drinking scene in act 1 which i got MUCH earlier than i killed all goblins

Srry for the late question, but I'm still confused, I got the drink wine in the montain scene 2 days ago, and now I saved the druids and got the tiefling party but I can't get her scene, and I have Very High approval with her.
@@lipe121 in 1 act only drinking wine scene. it can trigger before/during (and, most likely, after) tiefling party. if you got this scene before party, then there will be nothing related to her during this party

@@justaloser101my guess it might have something to do with giving her the thing that gives her memories. I feel like that’s the only thing I did differently. I forgot to look for the memory thing in the under dark and she never gave me the beach scene. There’s a Reddit thread on this very topic though. Not getting that seen is a more common miss than you’d think
Any chance to make something happen in act 3 without prior romance scenes having happened?
Tip for anyone not able to trigger the Act 3 romance scene. You should try long resting a few times and eventually if you meet the requirements in the previous acts, a speech bubble should appear over Shadowheart. It worked for me after a little bit of messing around.
If you save Tieflings an you ar at you camp drinking and the romance docent start maybe you are lock with other romance, like laezyel, you can stop with her and then talk to shadowheart
This game is so freaking buggy that I didn’t get a full complete romance of shadowheart. I slept or longed rested a bunch of times in act 3 and I never got an exclamation point above shadowheart. I even talked to her a bunch of times during act 3 at camp to see if she would say something new but nothing. I already finished the game smh

The first run I tried all to romance with her…and without knowing o have started romance with gale sigh…you need to know the mind of the game to do all you want.
Gale is talking to Mystra and you speak with him? Easy start romance
Gale is upset “for the explosion” in act 3? If you confort you can start romance.
You dance with wyll? You start a romance.
It s hard not romance in this game, if hard to romance with shadowheart xd

@@elhomiederp she said the same thing in my first play through as well but it was weird when I chose one of the twins after she refused she playfully said “Ooh, im jealous” Like I literally asked you 10 seconds ago and you said no😂 she wants to be with you first but doesn’t mind if you are with either of the twins, Mizora, Halsin or the emperor

Confirmed :) I started a new playthrough and made sure to max her approval, and yup.
Can you get an after saving it if your approval level is low
So after Act 2 Shadowheart asked me about her hair change but I didn't have "the scene" afterwards. I've only entered the lower city area and about to progress to house of grief. Is the "swim" scene supposed to trigger at some point after house of grief or did it bug for me and I completely missed it? T_T
It could be a bug, I would try the house of grief then see what happens. You might need to long rest in the lower city after, let us know what happens! If not, try going around rivington before you reach baldur's gate and long rest to try and clear out any cinematic dialogue, also do a quest in rivington too!

Sadly no luck, I've done at least 3 quests in Rivington area, completed all circus interactions, finished house of grief quest (saved the *2 people*) and long rested a lot throughout
Seems like it's totally missable, it sucks but I think I'll have to use a full guide on a new playthrough to get it lol
Something I've noticed is that I also didn't get her dialogue pop up when I found a night orchid, so maybe there was some dialogue I missed in act 1. Damn you have to really plan this stuff out haha reminds me of fromsoft quests...
@@diomed96 no worries! People have been able to get the scene in Act 2 as well, I dunno how. Did you also try to long rest in the lower city of Baldur's Gate? Its very weird.. I wish I had more answers, her romance was pretty difficult for me
Quick update on that, found out it was a documented bug for people on forums, some of her dialogues options weren't showing etc. past act 2. it's supposed to be fixed in patch 3
I just started a new playthrough after updating and so far some of her cutscenes are slightly tweaked in act 1 already so here's hoping
Update: every cutscene and dialogue worked as it should, I completed the game patch 3, got the ending with Shadowheart romance

I’m wondering if there’s an end difference with shadow heart if you let her decide her fate or if you pass the persuasion check with the act 2 entity.
After freeing the person shadowheart confessed wanting to be together but after the something look different part, even after complimenting her didn't activate a kiss scene. Did I lock myself out of a scene or am I good for onward?

Im in arc 3, currently defeated Mother Supirior but haven't even engage with any romance scene of Shadowheart with high approval. Is there any chance for me to romance her at this point?
I think that's the swimming scene, it should've appeared a bit earlier. I'd try to long rest to clear out any cinematic dialogue that could happen at camp, or complete a random quest then long rest and see if she'll want to speak. People have been able to get that scene in Act 2 for some reason, if both the others fail I'd try to reload a save from there to get to Act 2 and see if you can get her approval up and see if the scene will trigger there. It happens roughly after the boss fight in Act 2 or early Act 3.

Maxed approval since Act 2, convinced her to save "it" and "move on". Pretty much at the Elder Brain with all dialogue options exhausted. Feels bad man.

You're supposed to convince her to spare the life of the nightsong Dame Allen. There are two ways to go about it. Firstly you can talk her out of killing her. Or if you have a high enough affinity with shadowhart and you're morally just enough you can sit back and watch her make the decision and she will choose to not kill her! Afterwards she will dye her hair white and become a Lady of light.
If I did all the side quest in act 2 and then did the gaunlet what do i do to "pass the time" for shadowheart to change

I didnt get the kiss scene after saving the tieflings in the druide's grove, since my approval with her was not high enough.
Does this lock me out of the romance completly?
Because i am near the end of act three and nothing really happend since then, I have near max approval with her and just finished the house of grief....
Also i had a one night stand with Laezel, maybe this locked the romance with shadowheart?
Any idea how to trigger the one in act 3? I think one of the other main story ones overrode it and now it won’t happen and I have Halsin trying to make moves.
I would say that bg3 romances don't really need guides, but, when I romanced Shadowheart, I didn't long rest for a while when arriving in act 3, which made the game completely skip the swimming scene with her, and I only found out about it waaaay later when she talked about what we did and I had no idea what she was on about. This honestly fucked the whole rest of my playthrough.
Fortunately the Druids don't need saving. In an evil Playthrough i completely wrecked the camp and romanced her after having a night with Minthara. I was Oathbreaker Paladin/Necro Wizz. Maybe that helped in some way

Do we need to get her approval and scene in Act 1, in order to get her scene in Act 3? I can't make kiss to her when she already change her look in Act 2 and try to follow bug fix guide by kill then resurrect her, and still not a single romance scene.

Fun fact: You can also choose to shut up and let Shadowheart choose her own fate. She will choose to spare the Act 2 Entity. Also, she is happier, in the epilogue, if you do spare the important people in the House of Grief. Ow my hand doesn't compare to the happiness she finds.

So the real question is, if you miss act one romance option is it available later in act 2

so i got the romance scene in act 1 then in act 2 laezel rizzed me up and we dated then shadowheart convinced me to leave her. would this affect my romance with shadowheart. i didn’t get a kiss after complimenting her hair and didn’t get a “you first” dialogue thing ever. is my relationship with her doomed?
This is confusing. I had an extremely high approval of her (according to both char menu and her own words where she said she never expected to grow so close), but she turned me down when I approached her on the act 1 celebration, saying "we don't always see eye to eye", which was very strange considering our very good relationship prior. I wonder where did I go wrong.
So im in Act 3 right now and i finished her questline. My Relationship with Shadowheart is at 94 or 96. I cant get the romance scene at all, i persuaded her to not kill that SOMEONE and i spoke with her every chance i could. The last scene i got to trigger was after her questline where she talks about THOSE 2 people and me hugging her. Ive tried the reddit ressurecting thing (i might be doing it wrong) and it hasnt worked. I have no idea what i need to do. Ive also Long Rested so many times to no avail. Please help me :(

@@Eueueyw it turns out I never did the first step in romancing her all the way back in Act 1 after saving the Grove iirc. There's a step you have to do with her where you both have a glass of wine. I did NOT want to replay essentially the whole game again so I took it as a loss

Personnaly i killed that snake druid and all the druid followed so i had to kill them too but sadly they killed a couple of tieflings. I still had the tiefling party and the options to kiss shadowheart after saving halsim and killing the goblin chief so you dont need to save the druids particularly if you side with her in most dialogue in act 1

so, i refused to drink with her at the end of the druid thiefling party, becouse at that time i didnt rly like her al that much, but as thigs moved on it started to make more sense to romance her, but there was never another chance, im in act 3 and nothing happened so far, i have maxed approval, did EVERYTHING exactly as it is in this guide BUT the drinking wine in act 1, i guess the game just completely blocked it out for me..

You can romance her in an evil playthrough, and you don't need a guide technically, just gain her approval and flirt with her

Man my first play through I got her as my girlfriend without trying too hard ngl, now my second play through I accidentally locked myself out by making lae’zel my gf so if you want her to be with you MAKE SURE before the tiefling party to break up with lae’zel to prompt the drinking scene with shadowheart
So, in short, if I miss the refugee camp scene, almost every romance stuff is blocked for the game? Even if I get maximum relationship in ACT 2 / ACT 3? Great game, if that is forcing me to play all over again, to speed run the characters affection.....
Maybe there is a mod. Cause I try to make so lovy - dovy after the refugee rescue, but only Gale and Liazel agree, not shadowheart. By that moment, I was having the neutral + 1 relationship. Seems like that is not enough. ;(

I never try to gain her approuval anytime, because she's dumb. In my next run, I'll let her in her box, or kill her to get the artefact.
I am unsure if I am doing anything right, cause I only remember half of this stuff, yet I am at the point and past where she is asking and is my romantic partner. A kiss any time. Yet, haven't done anything naughty yet. Is this only after house of grief or random?

It's possible, but if you choose to romance another you'll miss the romance scenes for them in Act 1, and the romance progression and romance scenes for other party members possibly won't show up because they were romanced too late in the game.
@@MikkDouble I have a question about that. Normally I wanted to romance with Shadowheart, but before the party, Laezel said she had crush on me and I accepted her offer about having sex. Aftet that, nobody wanted to any romence with me at the party. Do you think the reason is Laezel? I wish I didn't accepted her offer :(

I got very high approval (75) for the saving the grove party. Didn't get the sharing a drink during the party but did get the kiss on the rocks scene way before saving the grove. Weird.

When you say do not save druids grove do you mean before even killing the golblins attacking the entrance or after that?
Before attacking/eliminating the goblins. Just don't do that area yet until approval is up and everything else mentioned in Act 1.

I missed the Act 1 part... But I had a dialogue about the Night Orchid and cant swim. I even gave her the night orchid. I'll see if I can still trigger the Act 2 romance and onwards.

No scene trigger on Act 2, she is absorbed by her quest
But your choice in the temple will help you/condemn you in the relation
@@Easterndude_ yep exactly what the other dude responded. No scene. You need to do the party scene from Act 1 to trigger it....One chance bruv...It sucks. I ended up restarting for that and many reasons (i.e i killed something and Dammon was not in Act 2 so I thought Karlach would explode)
I did not trigger it in act 1 as did nothing for grove as I pushed everyone into pit so no fight scene. But when I was in grymforge I used elevator met the wizard then after walking out shadow heart opened up about herself telling me about she liked black orchids. Few more chat lines I'll see you later but not here it's scary place. Went back to safe place. Went to sleep she she woke me up and had wine and smooch
@@martinlewis1015 I didnt get any romance option after doing the NightSong. Maybe they patched it! Good stuff man! I think they might have heard the community about the whole 1 -shot opportunity and if you miss it, thats it. Meanwhile Gale has been trying to put it in me the whole run
I missed probably a lot in act 1, denied a drink with me at the grove party and basically gave me the "try harder" answer.
Have her as my companion in chapter two but am not really able to progress any conversation with her even though ive been doing things to gain her approval. I am thinking i might have locked myself out.
Definitely try to gain more approval and succeed persuasion checks in Act 1, she's very difficult lol

Somehow her approval stopped at 48. I don't know why but I don't gain approval when making choices she likes
If I get the game, I’ll likely romance her since she looks like one of my anime crushes, Narberal Gamma from Overlord. That said, I’m going to avoid deception as much as I can, because I want to do my playthrough adhering to my Christian faith.

Um, I went to the console on the ship, but there was nothing but some enticing slot I had no item for, and never found one. No idea what "new ability" you could mean. Got no such thing on the ship.

Hmmm that's a good question, it's possible she could change her hair in Act 3 but I'm not so sure.. I'd reload the save and wait until she changes her hair then go take out the boss to be on the safe side.

@@MikkDouble btw i did found out when you save the person that you mentioned in vid she goes to somewhere and wants to kill him, you gotta help her killing that person then she cames to your camp and telling the truth about shadowhearth’s past after that long rest and tadaa! she has white hair

FFS im on my second playthrough and nothing happens, I have approval of 64 im at the camp party after saving druid and I cant force the first romance part wtf is going on ?
She's hard to please imo, I'd try to do everything, even the underdark before saving the grove. If you still have an old save I'd reload it if you can.
