A little about me:
Sean Daniel is a man. A man of simple needs and desires. And the one desire, no, the one NEED, that stands above all is to spread the challenges, joy and intellectual stimulus of music to people of Earth and beyond.
Born on the mean streets of upper middle class suburban Chicago, Sean learned the ways of the world through the dizzying heights of success to the lonesome depths of failure and emerged with the promise of a better tomorrow reflecting in his eyes and fiery passion in his belly.
He plays and teaches guitar on his UA-cam channel where he regularly releases original music and projects to the adulation of legions of fans, who often compare him to Chris Pratt and one time Ryan Reynolds. He’s currently in the market for a nice leather jacket.

I truly dig the combo of Andrea's super relaxed vibe and your boyish enthusiasm. And the guitar playing is nice too
Relax there bub
She’s the best
thanks
@@AndreaSilvestro No, thank you Andrea
The vibe between you two is so comfortable it makes watching these videos even more pleasant.
She’s the best
awh thanks
Sean, you are the best at making sense when all hope is lost, another GREAT lesson my friend and thank you and have a wonderful day.
Thanks so much!
Awesome lesson....this is more of what I need.....just very simple not over complicated and enhances my ability to play with others! Thanks make more like these!
I'm also a master of 2 things. One a master of being socially awkward in every situation and 2 a master of throwing my paycheck away at hard rock casino Cincinnati on a weekly basis
haha, you've got some growing to do yet my man
@@seandaniel23 facts
The house always wins.
You too?
Don't beat yourself up. Going to a casino while being socially awkward is not easy or pleasant.
Love the "it's basically cheating" nature of the lesson, and as always, great to see 'Drea playing guitar. You two sound good together.
Thanks Sean, that was the most useful video i've watched in a long time.
Happy to help!
Excellent! Such a simple idea. Who would have thought! It sounds beautiful.
That is so haunting and emotional ,bought tears to my eyes ,so emotional 😢
Been in my head all day ,
I did have a go at it myself
Thank you guys ❤️ 😍
Such a surprise.. Sneaked in a fantastic lesson , thanks
Really great lesson! Sounding great guys!
Thanks Sam!
Great relaxing vibe lesson and I also learnt something too!, a loop pedal sounds great fun !!
Yes! Def get yourself a looper pedal!
Loved this! Thanks
Wow this is awesome my friend.! Great sounding and will be playing this with a friend 👊🏻
Practical and taught very well.......thanks!
Excellent video. I loved the way both of you worked together. Great Chemistry.
Thanks so much!
Once again; a lot of good info in a short lesson!! thanks
Happy to help out :)
Sean a very cool lesson! Thank you
Happy to help!
Super Helpful and Awesome!!!!!! I love when I have an AHA moment like this!!!!! Thanks Nature Dudes!
:)
Doing good Drea keep it up, Its sounds good and thanks for that short lesson Sean.
Always happy to help! Thanks for tuning into the livestream yesterday :)
thanks!
Great Tip, excellent thank you for sharing this
Same thing happened to me , experimenting on that shape, its seems easy to make nice sounds. Thanks to this lesson, I now realize, its the relative minor of the major, 3 frets up on the 1st string, cheers mate !
The Martins sound great. Thanks for another great lesson on spicing it up while playing with another guitarist!!
Always happy to share!
That was very cool!
Thanks for watching!
Variations on the word accompaniment…accompanying… accoutrements….ahhhhhhhh ! Is like saying denim on denim !!!! Lol 😂 Great vid you kooky kids ! 👏🎶
this is awesome! thank you very much :)
I'm just a self-taught singer m'self, but if you know the D shape positions (referring to CAGED theory) you can just hop in there at the D Maj 7 and you're rockin'. No counting required, just need to have a clue about CAGED theory. Great vid as always Sean!
Awesome lesson and you sound great
Thanks so much!
I love the blending of the chord progression the way you did the accompaniment described as a shape, and the musical theory behind it. That makes it all work. Another excellent vid!
Great trick Sean, just play Stairway over anything! It's the master key that unlocks everything!
Thanks for this useful tip Sean. I'm not much of a rhythm player, but I think even I can pull this off. Cheers.
Happy to help!
Fun video, nice examples
Said it before and I'll say it again, Sean Daniel = best guitar teacher on UA-cam 👍👍
Thanks Dad! @SeanDaniel.
I wish my dad thought that!
Thanks i learned something interesting and the music theory makes sense matching the key with the relative minor note along the fretboard 👍
Thank you, I can relate...🙏
Shaun some times your humor throws me off but one thing I always learn something from you...
Oh well just another quality video from the dynamic duo and Andrea you are looking beautiful 😉
She's the best
This nature documentary was amazing!
Trying our best
Pretty amazing
Nice! I'm an hour from Sweetwater.
I visit there nearly every time I'm in Ft. Wayne.
They’re so cool there
Cool 😎 thanks 🙏
Happy to help!
Like a sighting of Ogopogo, I feel like I have just witnessed something incredible! Thanks for showing how simple incredible can be. I bought a SC10 from Sweetwater a few months ago, total guitar candy! Thanks for posting
I've seen Ogopogo too.
Congrats on the new-ish guitar!
Maaan Sean's swag is god like 🤣❤️
Haha, sure
Sorry Sean, but I am the master of disguise. I was sitting right behind you guys while you were filming this and you didn't see me at all. Enjoyed watching the video, too. :)
Martin and Sweetwater! I like it! I am a master of procrastination! Luckily, Dan at Sweetwater is not. When I order, he lets me know when it ships and checks to make sure I am satisfied. They are masters of customer service! Thanks for the lesson.
Best in the biz!
Nice !
Nice trick! Thanks! Hope I remember it when I need it! :)
It will come to you in your most desperate moment
@@seandaniel23 Wow, kinda like a Phoenix that comes to any Dumbledore... :)
So useful! Once again blurring the lines between “tips” and “tricks” lol. You guys rule thanks so much. Also I think you could call that an F Lydian vibe, right?
You got it!
Great tip, even for soloing over a looper pedal, too.
Loopers are the best!
Sean’s the master of 2 things, flirting with Drea while playing tasty little diddys, and the climax…..of the song 😅
Fun/Smart video. It would have been nice to see y'all switch parts at the end.
Maybe we'll try that soon!
Great video.
Interesting vocal tic of Sean’s… very similar to an old friend of mine that passed away.
sorry to hear that!
Sweet and flowing at sweetwater. Like Bogie and Bacall ...
Truly classic
10:18, I really liked your cover of master of puppets, completely unexpected
I have a Martin, saving up for the assistant named Andrea.
I'm just falling in love with her more than learning anything, lol. I get distracted easily. Great lesson for normal people though!!
She’s the best
Thanks man. I appreciate your teachings. You communicate so well and so clever. I detect a small inference of Italian dialect at the end of your sentences. Like an ah sound. Are you a linguist as well as a talented shredder? Lol
I don't know why he's doing that lol
I want to be a master of disguise. I want to be a master of disguise. I WANT TO BE A MASTER OF DISGUISE!
;)
Very nice! Sean, could you say that you find the 6th of the key(note) to get to your accompanying baseline? If the key is A, you would barre strings E,B,G on the second fret? Thanks!
Yup! That's usually the way I look at it!
Lord of the Skys- Greatest nickname in the narco game.
“It’s genius.” Loooloolllool
haha, pure genius
Your giving away our secrets again Sean! LOL Good time at gear fest? 8) --gary
Gearfest was great
What are your thoughts on those guitars in particular? I’m considering one and would love your opinion. Thanks
Well that’s the most time I’ve spent with them, just shooting that video. But I’m a fan. Seem like great build quality and super easy to play.
Y'all are so yummy together...what a sweet treat ....and Sean dropping that noble game say y'all are the most beautiful nature documentary...thanks for lessons on so many different things in such a tasty treat
Being a nature doc is the highest honor
@@seandaniel23 The antonym of salty blues!
There's nothing quite like a cascade of notes.
@Sean Daniel Can you make a series of videos like this. I keep coming back and referencing this video. I am a long time basic gutarist and working on strumming and chord changes just to noodle really makes me a better guitarist. I am thinking okay -- lets do this strumming pattern and this chord change -- not lets add to it... Do some Genres: Folk, Country, Blues, Rock, Finger Picking etc.,
don't come alone Mr Daniels bring the girl
I’m tryin!
Feels like he's using the D.E.N.N.I.S system.
More Andrea =)
Would love to see a chart for this......
Bro , the guitar Color of Andrea , is that called Sunburst ? Or something else Color ? . Looks very different from the usual sunburst.
Between - Enjoyed both of your Guitar jamming 👌😅
Cheers plums
Sounds good but how do you know what the key is. That would have been good.
Looks like an FMaj7 on the 5th fret to me.
Wow I didn’t know PewDiePie was so good at the guitar!
Open your heart europe
open your heart world!
That SC-10 would be a great guitar to take busking across the country. It’s a Martin so it’ll be good and doesn’t break the bank. I love my Martin SWDGT. Drop tunings sounds so dang good on it. Looking for another ‘tar though and I don’t wanna take it as it has sentimental value as well so def wil keep an eye and watch some more vids on that SC-10.
Thanks for watching. It’s a great guitar
@@seandaniel23 it rlly is. I checked it out a good bit via other channels. As I was checking out to see if John Moreland released anything else from his new album i saw Billy Strings was playing Kurt Cobain’s Martin D-18. I couldn’t remember if “gramps” was a D-18 or not.
@@seandaniel23 it was gramps. I got to talk to Billy Strings about that d-18. Damn…I feel giddy, a 33 year old school girl with a mustache. (Glorious one too 😉)
Also called the ukalele chords🙂
I was waiting for Still Dre to pop up but he didnt
great stuff! but didn't get exactly why it was in the key of D at the end?
Cos you don't know theory
10:13 how is the song in the key of D? I thought the chords were F, G, F, Am at the 0:43 mark?
Because at 9:19 he changed the chords to G, A, G, Bm which are in the key of D.
@@Telecasterfan ahh totally missed that part.
That strumming pattern is very magical.. Anyone know this style?
You’ll have to ask Drea. It’s her signature
:)
@@AndreaSilvestro And the answer is.....? Please fill in the blank 🙂
I have a question. What is guitar?
Am I not turtlley enough for the Turtle Club?
you could be anywhere from 30 to 50
So would you say the difference in the difference is in the fact that you're not targeting you're not going to somewhere you're basically just blending and riding along with basically a passenger in the car you're not individually going somewhere separately is that the main difference cuz that's what it sounds like to me so it seems like something where you're kind of independently doing something that happens to work with whatever else is doing whereas what you're doing sounds like you're literally digging on the same jam
Yeah that’s a good of looking at it.
😁
:)
Smoke show, strikes again.
I try
sounds similar but different to Rock Bottom - Kiss
How dare you!
I had to watch a second time because...
You ever taught thar person your actually jamming with
10:18 sounded like master of puppets
The the 7th fret-ah.
Key of D?? How? What? Why? Which?
It always hard to learn anything when you have the teacher that thinks he is so cool. On to a better video.
Or the teenage boy who always goes you know any Pantera or slipknot
Those Martins seem loud
still wondering what you’re hiding from
plot twist....myself
What a beauty! ... not you Sean. 😁
He tells her “back to F and then Am” then says “I’m just playing what she’s playing”???
