    I appreciate how Ethan not only remembers Emily but also has such gracious words for her and her family. 💖

    After watching the first 4 episodes it really feels like Star Trek has really returned to form.

    I absolutely love this show! Many ST in the past it takes the first season just for everyone to find their character and the writing to work well. This series has hit the ground running and been incredible from the very first episode. Every character is enjoyable and well thought out and each actor plays them very very well. Christine Chapel and La'An Noonien-Singh are my favorites, especially in the second season. But they are all just so well written and acted that it's just a joy to see Gene Roddenberry's vision come to full, true life once again with episodic adventures, character and storyline arcs and true Federation discipline (unlike the childish interpersonal conflicts in ST:Discovery where it seemed like the writers didn't even bother to learn any ST cannon). Its just a joy to watch as I've watched each episode at least three times so far.

    Best thing I’ve seen on TV since Sherlock and the best Star Trek since ToS.

    At the end each of you should have written into you contracts that you each get a complete outfit you wore and 3 devices you used most frequently.

    Strange new worlds is way better than discovery. I ended up quitting discovery prematurely.

    I don't understand 'woke' and will never do so. The only 'woke' I know is when I 'woke' up this morning. For decades STAR TREK has been telling young people, this could be you. It's telling all races and nationalities what they can reach for and achieve. How many shows has inspired people to go into the sciences? To be astronauts? The arts? Maybe even teachers. No offense intended but how many young people wake up wanting to a Jedi Knight? Star Trek inspired me to be a writer. I'm 70 and still trying to sell my work. Of course I do have other interests. Just do what you feel is right for you. The opinions of those being negative should be ignored because they have no faith in themselves.

    Antisemitism is still a huge problem in America. The blessing actually does pretty much mean Live Long and Prosper irl. It's meant to look like the Hebrew sign for life.

    Sad that Paramount’s Star Trek: Strange New World writers can’t think out side the box and have to copy “Aliens” ! Sad !! Well another Star Trek by Eugene Roddenberry that sucks !!!

    The show is still a little too "woke" for me. You all could not have possibly found a better man to fill the shoes of Spock. I like the African Doctor and most of the other crew but I don't find the new "Uhuru" or the Hispanic helmsman to be appealing. The original "Uhuru" as played by Nichelle Nichols was a special woman and a special African American woman. She was truly a "babe" for her times from any racial perspective. She brought an effortless sense of restrained sensuality and sexiness to her role which was essentially a groundbreaking one. The new Uhuru lacks sexiness and sensuality. She comes off as a token. Not to say that she is not a genuinely nice person. She probably is and I get a sense of that. There are just so many insanely gorgeous Black women out there and Hollywood just will not ever give them a chance. As for the Hispanic helmsman, please bring back Checkov and Sulu. OK. She's no doubt a nice person also. Probably nothing like her role in real life. Too "woke."

    • @gizmotv9320
      @gizmotv9320 Рік тому +7

      So because you don't find the new uhuru attractive that this show has gone too "woke". That is absolutely ridiculous and nothing to do with "wokism" in the slightest and trek has been woke since day one

    • @mackzed88
      @mackzed88 Рік тому

      @@gizmotv9320 Not really. Liberal, not woke. "Woke-ism" did not start to manifest and become a problem until about 15 years ago.

    • @gizmotv9320
      @gizmotv9320 Рік тому +4

      @@mackzed88 no trek has always been woke. The casting of uhuru and sulu is proof of that. How is "woke" a problem? I fail to understand how wanting to fight against social injustices is a bad thing

      All that comment and yet the consistent mistake of calling the character Uhuru when it's Uhura.

    • @mackzed88
      @mackzed88 Рік тому

      @@moreofacomment Well, I stand corrected. I often get the the two terms mixed up having been acquainted with the Black American "Uhuru" movement in the 70's as well as the Swahili term for "freedom" but, thank you so much for being so utterly petty and condescending.
