She has done a great job bringing her character to life and integrating with the cast. A marvelous casting choice.
This show is truly what Star Trek was meant to be.
She is always such a delight to watch in interviews. She has a great energy, and is obviously very enthusiastic about the show. The same attitude comes through her music. as well.
Love her on the show. Cant wait for the next season.
I've had the good fortune of meeting Christina and getting a picture and autograph and she's one of the nicest full of life people you'll ever meet.
She is my new favorite Star Trek actress. I though she was in her 20's but found out she is almost 40 and still incredibly gorgeous. I don't know, there was just something about her that made me really like the character. I had very low expectations for Strange New Worlds after Discovery was such a bomb and I have started to feel the same nostalgia that The Next Generation brings.
I actually really like _Discovery_
@@WilliamFord972 same, very very underrated
She is the best character on SNWs. The character could easily have been two-dimensional, but she layers on so much depth and pathos. I think she is the break-out star.
She really makes the show
Christina Chong has done a wonderful job of being La'An Noonien-Singh.
I saw her many years ago in Dr. Who and thought "I would really like to see more of this interesting lady". Then I found out she is in Strange New Worlds and she's still fascinating.
Omg runa is her actual dog ❤
The casting for this show was amazing: her, nurse chappelle, the doctor, etc...all great casting.
Christina really stands out in the series. Outstanding!
Almost everybody stands out. But I agree that La'an has something in her that makes her extremely relatable, even as she plays a very intense character.
She's so gorgeous.
love her accent.
I love her British accent.
She's a delight 🥰🥰🥰
My fav Star trek actress
Love you love you love you Christina ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I wish her scenes were not cut in Star Wars.
Then she would officially have the Doctor Who, Star Wars, Star Trek trifecta
I like her camina drummer impression
Cara Gee plays Camina Drummer.
I love her!
Doing the best they can,it is Sci-fi! Better then no trek!
Middle name Tribble
And she petitioned for the bloody Subspace Rhapsody episode 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
And she's great in it as are they all
Her name is a tribble the dog….
Not a star trek fan .! I was going to gif but I can't find a appropriate one. I'd of said I can't make this audition but I'm gonna be free soon I can turn up then
I love you in the show, but I don't think you have a flattering haircut there.
La'an is great first but please change her make up please, cause it hides her beauty ❤
SNW has a great cast. But terrible writing and conceptualization. The people behind the show don't understand Trek at all.
La'an is the best character on the show however.
Of course star trek is now all about
PC woke bean counting.......but I'm crushing on LaAn.
Get a life
And she culturally appropriates SMFH
How so?
How so? Her family is of Asian descent and she is from England. Care to clarify how she is a culture approriator?
What..?
More woke Star Trek. That's it for me. I'm done with it.
Not woke at all, at least not in the negative sense. It highlights humanities ideals, which is one of the main tenants of Star Trek, but it doesn’t shove them down your throat or deliver them in a chastising manner. It’s enlightened, not woke, I would say. If you’re talking about the abundance of women and obvious diversity ticking, I don’t think that’s avoidable in this day and age, with production companies being under pressure etc. But it handles it well. Again it doesn’t shove it down your throat, nor is it over balanced. Especially when Sam Kirk pops in at the end it looks like the cast is pretty balanced. At least between men and women.
There’s good woke and bad woke. Star Trek as a genre is good woke.
Good woke inspires, bad woke punishes.
Star Trek has always been "woke" since TOS. Anyone who doesn't realize that never paid attention.
@@danieldickson8591 No, Danny, it only became woke with Discovery and has been ever since.
@@somethinginteresting923 Not if you have nightmares it isn't. In fact, it can be far more taxing.
Really enjoyed this interview, TY both of you for this gift.
