I think that it's fantastic and congratulations on acquiring it. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your family as well my friend and I always look forward to seeing more great content on this channel. 🎄
It's funny, but back then, you couldn't find the Oscar Goldman Action figure anywhere in my area. I had Steve, and the Bionic Repair Station, then Mask a Tron, and then Big foot, but never saw Oscar until just last year. My neighbor was cleaning out her house, and came across a bunch of 70's toys, including a boxed Oscar Goldman. Crazy stuff.
At the outbreak of WW2, the British Government decreed that Toy Production should be suspended for the duration. Almost immediately old toys became a valuable commodity. Even trivial items such as Jigsaws, became highly sought after. Second hand Toys were shared among the communities to be given as gifts on special occasions. So, the next time someone giggles when a Toy Collector hands over a mint for a single item, bear in mind the absolute necessity of Childhood memories and how they are shaped by the gifts we receive and the Toys that inspired us.
57 Years old. Besides Star Trek, The Six Million Dollar Man was my absolute favorite show. In Australia it aired Sunday @ 19:30. I used to sit in front of the TV with my Steve Austin Figure watching it through his "Bionic Eye" (LOL). I still have that figure to this day as I got it in 1977 when I was 10 years old. I also have a MIB one with Back-pack Radio (Which is actually how I listened to Radio growing up) and a Maskatron. What a time to be alive.
Despite being a 70s kid, I don't recall seeing this playset. It is such a great toy, so pleased you were able to get this vintage toy. Such a wonderful film, thank you.
It's amazing for such a simple playset, the amount of great play features they were able to incorporate into it, it makes me wish I was a little older so I could have enjoyed the line. Great video, sir, and a very Merry Christmas to you and everyone else as well.
Your timing is perfect in delivering this for Christmas, Tony. Thank you! There’s a broken desk I’ve been stalking on eBay at a realistic price… and I’ve wanted to know more. The tie ins to the Office show is a great touch!
Excellent video, but for a more authentic Six Million Dollar viewing experience I recommend watching the video at x25 playback speed while twanging a plastic ruler off the edge of a table.
Used to play "Six million dollar man fights" when I was at infant school in the 70's, basically a play fight in slow motion while making the nanananananaaaaa noise, a highlight being chucking yourself dramatically at the metal dustbins. I remember the Teacher screaming WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?!
This one play-set that I never had as a kid when Six Dollar Man toys came out. This is one playet would of been cool to have in my collection back in the day. Great Video Tony. Thanks for doing this video.
I had the Oscar Goldman figure as a kid, but I never knew this playset existed. My grandfather put his carpentry skills to good use by making a wooden table and two chairs (with proper joints) for Oscar and Steve to sit in. It didn't have the gadgets, but it was an office of sorts, and was extremely special to me because he had taken the time to make it for me.
This episode feels like a throwback, and not because it's covering a toy from the 70s, but because it harkens back to your older reviews which I still go back and rewatch sometimes. Awesome to see a return to SMDM, and a pretty great gift as well :)
Brilliant 👍🏻 makes me think how much grief i would have had as a kid with this, got lots of flak for my action man horse, which no one believed was an action man product 😅
This is one of many examples of why toys from the 70s ruled. I was very fortunate to grow up during this time period. Very fond memories. Merry Christmas and all the best you and the family. Continued success in 2025. 🎄👍
Merry Christmas to you and your family. I love the fact that Oscar has his own logo on the box. I can imagine a spin-off series of adventures with Oscar doing mission impossible style stuff. 👍
Absolutely loved this ! Thank you for the work you put into these. I had Steve Austin and Maskatron. And space capsule. All went to a 2nd hand toy sale in the mid to late 80s. If only we'd known back then what the value would be decades later.
I missed his initial run being first born in the early 70’s, however many of my friends had older brothers and we used to play with most of the bionic toys. A number of them had that exploding brief case which I always thought was awesome. I never knew though until many years later which toy series it was from. Very cleverly designed item
My dad was a fan of Steve Austin and Jaime Sommers when he was alive. He would have loved knowing about this playset and, I'm definitely sure about this, that he'll do anything just to own one.
That IS probably the only known battery operated cardboard playset. Lots of fun play features. Now you're making me want to watch the 6 Million Dollar Man, which I've never really seen.
Excellent segway Tony, The office into 40 year old virgin into O.S.I headquarters absolute Gold 😂…. Well done mate Merry Christmas to you & Family, Cheers Murray.
This is such an amazing video. As a toy collector and a The Office fan, I truly loved every second of this. Your editing and use of the various clips is genius. While I was certainly aware of this line, I did NOT know about this particular playset. What a great addition to your collection.
I think this playset shows why Kenner was such a stellar toy company; this could’ve easily been a flimsy office with a random desk and chair but they made it so cool with all the features! Also Tony considering The Office(US) is my favorite tv show I appreciate all the references throughout
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family Tony. Thanks for your interesting and entertaining videos throughout the year. Looking forward to more of your great content in 2025 👍🥳
Brilliant Video Tony, in all my 30 odd years of toy collecting i have never come across this playset or an Oscar doll, several Six Million Dollar man though. Merry Christmas to you and all fellow Toy Collectors.
I didn't have this set as a kid, I did have the Bionic Transport and Repair Station, but I remember playing with the desk. Must have been one of my friends, but I can't recall who it might have been. Looking back now, TSMDM line had a lot more toys and playsets than I remember as a kid. Although a look through the old Christmas catalogs during those years suggests I should have known about them. Merry Christmas!
Great video! Details of this great playset I've never seen. I parted with my SMDM items a couple of years ago and had most items with the exceptions of this and the probe. Merry Christmas Tony ... looking forward to 2025's Analogue Analysis!
Interesting video, very interesting playset with well-thought features. One of my favorite videos from your channel is precisely the one about The Six Million Dollar Man toy line, and this video is a good follow-up to that one.
Another great video Tony. Can’t wait and see what you bring in the New Year. Merry Christmas 🎄, and a Happy New year 🎈🎊🎆 to you and your family. Cheers 🍻 Mate.
Great video👍🏻. Love the 70s play sets. Although most of my collection is Star Wars related I’ve been slowly picking up LJN Emergency! toys from the early-mid 70s. Merry Christmas 🎄
Merry Christmas to you and your family Tony Thanks for another fantastic video and what a wonderful playset! I had the main body of the Bionic Transpirt Repair set as a kid and thiught it was for my older brothers Six Million Dollar Man as it was a little oversized for my Action Man but at that age it didn't matter
"They spent 6 million dollars to give me all new bionic parts. Made me stronger, better, faster than I was. Then you know what they did? They put me to work! They expected me to pay it all back! Do you have any idea how long 6 million bucks takes to pay off on a government salary!?"
Technically, another battery powered cardboard playset was the Bionic Woman Jamie Sommers' Classroom. It's basically a re-skinned O.S.I. Headquarters with different artwork.
I had the Oscar Goldman and office set as a kid to go with the 6 million dollar man figure. Can't think why my parents bought me this as I wasn't really the biggest fan of the show, more into Action Man. The briefcase was the best thing overall and I probably wrecked the rest while playing with it as I tended to do with all my other toys.
Thanks for showing this, I'd only ever seen pictures of it. but I imagine there's only so many play scenarios to be had out of "Oscar gives Steve his assignment/files get stolen/Steve lifts up the desk nananananananaaaa!!" 53 years old I was more of a Star wars kid and the larger scale kinda bothered me [EG you couldn't have Steve ride Evel knievel's stunt bike and he was a bit bigger than Action man]
Tony Want to wish you a Merry Christmas from Colorado USA. Now if you’re a fan of The Six Million Dollar Man then you know the episode with Big Foot. Big Foot throws a guy into a glass cabinet during a fight in an office. Well that guy BF threw was my dad, who was a stuntman on that episode. I can’t remember all the details of the episode because I wasn’t a fan of the show. He also worked on several Star Trek episodes as well and was a very famous character. I had the opportunity to help build the Borg space ship for the episode Q Who and got to meet Gene Roddenberry .
I'd never seen that HQ playset before; certainly don't remember seeing it in toy shops at the time. What a cool looking toy and I love the electrics. Top video mate.
Loved this character and anything connected to him (I'm still bummed out we never got the bionic dog show). Even Oscar was a favorite character and figure for some reason (though I didn't have him; I'm near certain I had Maskatron and just used him with his Oscar mask continually). I did however have his briefcase thanks to a yardsale find that included even the mini-file folder (though no files). I enjoyed that briefcase way to much probably, since I kept it years after losing the last of the other figures or items. But its only in recent years I even set eyes on this OSI set. I'm not sure how I'd have reacted to it as a kid but I'm pretty sure it'd blown my mind with those gimicks and details. And inspired to piece together my own backgrounds to change it up, no doubt. Think thats what I like about 70s less plasticy sets; there's at least hope of doing your own or at least tweeking them a bit. Oh, and I still wonder how many uninformed people have come across the suitcase and had no idea of its hidden secrets.
I'm kind of surprised there hasn't been a Haslab crowd-funded push to make repros of this line. I bet there's a ton of gen-Xers with money to burn on something like the Venus Probe, just maybe not the asking price of an original.
T’est vraiment chanceux d’avoir tout ça. Je regrette d’avoir donné tout mes figurines à mes neveux . Ils ont tout détruit. Avoir su je les aurais gardé.
It took a few long moments for it dawn on me why you included clips from The Office in this video about an office playset. I thought, this guy reeely likes The Office. Also, that brown chair kinda looks like a chair from the bridge of the Enterprise. Was there ever a bridge playset released for the Mego Trek figures?
I would have loved that as a kid! I thought the Barbie (playset) stuff was cool, and always wanted to mix and match it with Action Man! On another note - what is that ice Christmas tree thing called? Merry Christmas one and all!
What do you think of the O.S.I Headquarters playset?
I think that it's fantastic and congratulations on acquiring it. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your family as well my friend and I always look forward to seeing more great content on this channel. 🎄
Love the functioning wall safe 👍🏻Merry Xmas!
It's cool! :)

I would love one. Hitting E-Bay.

A brilliant comment. Thank you so much for posting this on our video.

Started watching your videos in 2024 and love your channel, Tony. Thanks for a great year.

Ok I’ve never laughed so much on a vintage video review of a cardboard playset 😂😂😂😂😂 thank you and merry Christmas ❤❤❤
I love 1970's toys. Fantastic use of clips in this video. Merry Christmas, Tony!
Oh man, this combo is making me want to blurt out my FAVORITE "Office" quote, but that'll get me fast tracked to my rumble arc. Sweet playset, Tony!
for a cardboard playset of a office , they really knocked that out of the park. very inventive and looks like it was ment for fun
As a kid, I’m not sure I would’ve wanted this play set. But as an adult, this is really cool. Great video!

Awesome as usual, Tony!!!
I especially love how you added the mug to Oscar's desk. 😂
Happy Holidays to you & your family from Morgantown WV, USA!!!

This was one of my favorite childhood playsets. Great video ❤ "The Office" memes are a nice touch. 😂
Excellent video Tony. I really enjoyed watching it. Merry Christmas!
Wonderful video, you combined two of my favorite things! 6 million dollar man and The Office. Well done Sir!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
Great Six Million Dollar Man O.S.I. Headquarters review video, Tony.
Merry Christmas to you and your Family.

If Oscar doesn't have an office, he can't send Steve on any missions. Awesome acquisition, Tony.

Lobo's Collectibles? Perfect haha, the main man himself surely knows how to collect ^^ Great video as always!
Excellent review and production value. Love the Yoda shirt, too!
Hai from Indonesian ❤❤❤ love you all videos 😊

Great stuff.
Merry Chrismas and a happy New year to you Tony. And it is a amazing playset.

Great video. This playset is sweet. They certainly don’t make em like they used too. Merry Christmas Tony!
Great video!

That's a cool playset.

I remember the disappointment I felt when I got the Spider-man Daily Bugle playset and found it was mostly just a cardboard cut out
Tony, I see Bob Brechin is putting up lots on Vectis auctions including prototypes. Auction on 16th Jan.
Cool never saw that set I still have my Steve Austin but I regret to have traded my Oscar goldman for some vintage star wars
A missed opportunity was to release figures of Dr. Rudy Wells, and Col. Steve Austin in his USAF Dress Uniform.
My memory of that was looking through the eye and it was just a blur. I could be wrong about that as I was about 10.
I'm kind of surprised there hasn't been a Haslab crowd-funded push to make repros of this line. I bet there's a ton of gen-Xers with money to burn on something like the Venus Probe, just maybe not the asking price of an original.

Wow review…
I would have loved that as a kid! I thought the Barbie (playset) stuff was cool, and always wanted to mix and match it with Action Man! On another note - what is that ice Christmas tree thing called? Merry Christmas one and all!
It’s just a cheap tree that I picked up in Kmart a few years ago.
TURTLE NECK ? Where were you born fellah ? That's what we call a polo neck ? I'm sure we did,in the 1970's.
Kenner called it a turtleneck in their catalogue you pedantic twat.
I''m confused... you said you couldn't buy it cause it wouldn't fit in your suitcase. Have you not heard of post? Just curious is all. (lol)
Dumbest joke I've ever heard
I loved the cover of the set! But I HATE THE OFFICE! That ruined much of this video for me. Just stick to the toy and you will be better for it!
When you put him on your payroll, you can dictate the way he presents content.
Merry Christmas Tony
